Mar 18, 2012My iPhone 4s suddenly stopped producing sounds, including ring tone, alerts, messages, alarms, key board noises and lock noises. Has anyone else experienced this? I have completed software updates, rebooted and checked all settings with no luck

Galaxy S6 Edge :: Yellow Tint / Color Shifting?
May 29, 2015I understand that AMOLED screens tend to run warmer but it seems my device has some rather annoying color shift. When I look at the phone headon there is a bit of a yellow tint. However if I change the angle just slightly there is a blue/purple tint across the screen.
The yellow I'm seeing might be a true white but the color shifting to blue/purple is quite annoying.
This was a replacement device and I'm not sure if I remember this or not on my old device.

So far I'm very impressed with it, with one exception.The screen's white color temp appears to be quite low, giving whites a yellow-ish tint.I'd say white color temp is a little lower than 6500K.is this normal?Or should I try and have the phone replaced by the store (DOA policy)?I compared the screen with both my old Motorola Milestone and my sister's Xperia Pro Mini and the whites are indeed yellow-ish, at least compared to them...Unfortunately, the Xperia Pro is not officially available here in Greece so I can't just walk into an electronics store and compare my pro's screen to another Pro demo unit...

Nokia Lumia :: Stop An EE 920 From Rebooting Constantly?
Nov 21, 2012For all you EE customers out there here is what I did and how I got it working on 2G and 3G but not 4G.
1. Get a phone that can take your 3G SIM. I found my Nokia Lumia 800 for carphone warehouse worked.
2. Put your SIM in and let it register 2G.
3. On your 920 with no SIM in, go to Settings -> mobile network and TURN DATA OFF
4. Get your now registered SIM from your old/other phone and put it in your 920 and boot it up.
5. The phone should now boot and not crash.
6. Go to Setings -> Mobile Network and change "Highest Connection Speed" to 3G and then turn the "data connection" back on.
7. Life should be pretty good now (unless you live in a 4G area).
Nokia Lumia :: Music Does Not Stop When Unpluging?
Nov 29, 2012when I unplug my headphones music (in my case podcast) continues to play when I unplug my headphones. The audio comes out the built in speakers at the bottom of the phone. Other times, I get a short (less than 1 second) bit of sound out of the bottom built in speakers. This is really annoying to my wife who wakes up from the sound when I unplug my headphones in bed after she has gone to sleep. I expect no sound out of the peakers when I unplug the headset. Seems like a timing issue and a surprise removal can be hard to deal with, but you got it right with the 900.I used to have that phone before the 920 and it never had that issue.

But when I do that the Music app automatically starts and plays music. I can turn it off (using the Stop the Music app), but it comes back on after a few seconds. Lumia 1020 :: White Balance After Black Update - Fail On Yellow Flash Effect
Jan 2, 2014So I finally updated to Black today and to my surprise the damn yellow tint is still present when using flash indoors.I did one shot before the update with Nokia Pro Cam, and on after the Black update and after updating to Nokia Camera.
They look nearly identical.

no flash after black [this looks most like the real thing] . Notice similar issue with the yellow tint not being fixed after updating to Black?Also forgot to mention, all setting were on auto, on the top two shots, on the no flash one, change from auto flash to no flash.
Lumia 1020 :: Display Color Way Off
Nov 23, 2013I recently got a Lumia 1020 and I am very disappointed with how off the colours on the display are. Pictures often look very yellow on the screen, though the same pictures look more accurate when viewed on other devices. It seems to me that a phone focused on taking pictures should have a screen that has more accurate colours.
