Is there any way of getting the E71's camera to take a good quality picture? It's supposed to be a 3MP camera. But I've tried printing off standard 6x4 prints of pictures I've taken (in good lighting conditions), and yet the pictures are blurry will blotchy colouring - they look like they were taken on a poor quality VGA camera.
I've checked, and the camera is set to take pictures of the highest resolution available. What I have noticed, is that a lot of the pictures come out as files which are less than 350KB in size, which seems a very small file size for a picture taken with 3MP resolution.
To compare, I've looked at some pictures taken on my LG Viewty, and they are all on average about 1.6MB in size. As that is a 5MP camera, and working it back, pictures taken on a 3MP camera should come in at just under 1MB.Seriously, my old Nokia 6630 from 5 years ago made much better quality prints with it's 1.3MP camera, and that just doesn't seem right.
I just downloaded the newest Maps version from here: (http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/maps-support/compatibility-and-download?intc=ncomsup...), installed it on my phone (Nokia N95 8GB, up to date firmware, up to date Ovi Suite and PC Suite). And when i selected the drive to option the software asked me to renew the license O.o. Isn't navigation supposed to be free? How can I take care of this problem?
I have an Iphone 4s with ios 5.1. I go to college out of the country and therefore use VOIP apps w/ push notification. I noticed that when my screen is off for a few minutes, the phone will not receive push notificaitons right away. (I test this by calling myself) The phone acts like WIFI has gone to sleep, but a few minutes later, it will wake up and show the notification. Another way I can immediately get it to show the notification is to turn the phone on myself. I tried restoring the iphone and turning off cellular data and am having the same problem.
I've hooked everything up properly. Movies play just fine from my iPad2 but when I try and play a movie that I loaded onto my iPhone the tv just says "no signal". Movie plays fine on the phone itself. I even plugged phone into power source thinking maybe the phone didn't have enough power to play a movie on tv. Still "no signal". I'm on vacation and hoped to watch a couple of movies.
I purchased my iphone about 3 weeks ago and the home button is wiggly (loose). I can move it side to side and hear it clicking while doing so. Are all the At&t models like this? Should i get a replacement?
Gettig a lot of notifications and I didn't want to keep having everyone be disturbed so I put the phone in silent mode. Sure enough my wife calls again; strangely I can hear her but she can't hear me and hangs up. Assuming that there was a problem with her signal I call her back to she if things cleared up. She still couldn't hear me and hung up again. I thought to turn silent mode off and attempt to call her again. She could hear me.
Is the red indicator message light supposed to go off automatically? Yesterday, I picked up the phone and there was no red indicator light blinking -- however, when I touched my mouse I realized that there had been an incoming message on my BlackBerry Messenger sitting there for about 3 hours. I did not pick up my BlackBerry sooner because I did not see any red light when I walked into the room during that 3-hour period. What can I do to make sure this red light blinks forever until I finally notice it and review the message?
I have two issues. I took a picture using Nokia camera app which is on default. Some pics didn't save.
Next is when you take picture. When u go to photo albums. You see a link below saying open in Nokia camera. How come pics have that link and others don't? I took some smartcam pics too look at later and can't open it up and do the action shots and other stuff.
Is there any way to disable that dragging the small camera lens cover turns on/off the camera? if that option doesn't exist (I guess it because I searched for it long wise) is a big fail in N97.
my 6500 slide shows me "Camera on standby" when i try to launch the camera. The message remains on the screen until i press exit and i am unable to use the camera.
I have searched the internet for a solution, tried software updating, resetting to factory settings etc but nothing seems to do the trick.
Is it possible to get the camera to work again without tampering with the hardware (As described here: http://repair-mobiles.com/6500-camera-operation-failed/) ?
I already installed Camera Extras app on my Lumia 800, but when I try to use one of its features the camera format switch automatically to 4:3 format. Is anybody who knows about this bug ?
i just bought my nokia e7 just 45 days only. when i on the camera , device completely freeze there is no more process, i have to press the switch off button for few sec to shut, device is working well, but only when i switch on the camera it;s becae freeze. even i have done soft format and also hard formate , even i updated my device through online for Symbian anna. and also i have tested my camera with additional third party camera applications but at the time also i got negative result. even i restored my camera setting. .
I have been continuosly facing problems with that. I am really tired of the problems. I have been to Nokia Care for more than 8 times in last 7 months.
The main problem is it's CAMERA (it doesn't take good pics with good resolution, and also it gives a lot of flash in its image), half of the picture we take in dark will be in flash. And it's GPS, oh God please save me. I travelled from Surat to Rajkot and Raj to Surat twice and also to Ahmedabad from Rajkot once, but it never gets the signal on road.
For our dear N97, we have to wait minimum for 10 minutes to have its GPS connected and that too is not sure if it will connect or not.
But even if we stand for 10 - 20 minutes, and get the GPS connected, it won't remain connected throughout the way and once it gets disconnected, its again a big mess, we can never connect while travelling.
And if the connection doesn't get disconnected, it will not be connected nicely and would show the speed only 20 to 30 % of the journey.
I have recently read all the same issues at many sites and seeing the issue getting resolved at many places by getting the device replaced with a new problem less one, I have given the mobile to the company people to have a fix. Please Nokia people I have been using the Nokia since last 7 years and also I have 6 Nokia mobiles at my house itself. Please don't make me dissatisfied.
I bought my e72 last May 2010.The last time I used the camera was mid June and took around 140 pics. I just noticed last night that my camera won't open.I tried already soft reset but still it doesn't work.
I finally updated my firmware today with the 031 version, i was using before the 021 version with the old firmaware i had some problems with the camera and the blinking LED.I updated today hoping that those problems would get solved but i noticed that they stills exist. When i take pictures the phone stops responding for a couple of seconds and the taskbar below becomes a bit foggy while the blinking LED doesn't stops blinking after the phone enters the standby mode.i've set it to stop after 5 minutes but it doesn't stop at all and it's very unconfortable during sleep time at night having to whatch your room blinking.does anyone else had the same problems and maybe solved them?
I have an N95 8GB that I'm normally happy for, but after a reinstall of older firmware the camera stopped working. What happens when i press the camera button on the side is that the screen turns and stands for a sec or 2, and then the screen flips back. I have tested to bar code scanner and that works great. I'm running the newest firmware on N95-2, RM-320.I cannot' remember the FW version i updated to when the camera stopped working. The rest of the phone great, it only the camera that doesn't work.I hope that some of you can help.
My brand new N97 Mini RM-553 that I ordered from Amazon (sold by Nokia), straight out of the box makes very bad pictures with kinda stripes. Here's an example:
URL... I had the same problem 3 years ago with my SE w800i and I just had to update my phone to solve the problem. I've tried to do the same with N97 Mini, but Nokia Software Updater says, that there is no new update for my phone. My Firmware is 10.2.020.It doesn't matter if i use flash or not. The lines are on the screen when I'm trying to take a photo, not just after i take a photo. Same thing is when I switch it to video mode to record videos. Also there are much more lines when I'm trying to make a photo of TV that is turned on. I have also N95-4 (8GB) and there is no problem when I want to take a picture of the same TV. I bet it's just a software problem, but I can't update my phone, because of my ProductCode.
What can I do to fix this? I am very disappointed and if there is no way to fix it, then I think I'm gonna return that phone and probably never buy anything from Nokia. $500 for High-End phone that straight out of box is not working properly is not what I expected from NOKIA.
friend has this problem. he tells me that sometime while the phone is in its leather pouch the camera turns on by itself. he has no idea until he takes it out to use. it has a lock code on it. it only happens when its in the pouch. he didn't face that problem before he bought the pouch.have anybody else experienced this problem. i am thinking its the pouch that is somehow activating the camera. the phone fits snug in it. what do you guys think is the cause.
I have a problem: my nokia n97, make photos with dark point in left. I think is a dust point beacuse before it is on the up-right corner. You can help me take this point out?
I am interested in waiting for the next camera phone to replace my N8, is there any news on this? Might it be a Windows phone or can I expect a Symbian?
I just want to share my experience with you.I've been using an unlocked Lumia 800 for a week now and I actually like the phone, however these camera problems are just unacceptable.
The camera has SERIOUS white balance problems, and, for me the most important, the auto-focus is just ridiculous. It works bad, but focusing on "macro" objects is just a no go, even usin the touch focus or the "macro" focus mode. Another problem is the lens flare, which reflects how bad these optics might be. You really think that the Carl Zeiss branded optics anything here? Think again. My HTC Incredible S, with its "OEM" optics, (or the Iphone 4S or the SII) just humiliates this camera. Also, is that so hard to make a green square focus confirmarion?
How can they release a flagship device, with this price range, with these problems? No wonder why Nokia is where it is standing now, "almost" in a closing-doors status. They really need better engineers and programmers because everytime they let this happen with a device, they're tossing away their valuable customers. And they really deserve it.
And as I've been reading, the Lumia 900 is having the same problems... How sad is this?
