Apr 20, 2012i have a customer who has a iphone and needs to update to ios 5.1 for a corporate app to work. he does not have personnal machine at home to install itunes on, and the company will not allow itunes to be installed on any of their systems (you cant even run the installer as its blocked).i have my own machine that i connect to their guest wifi but when i try to download the ios 5.1 update, it says 36 hours remaining (i think they are blocking the traffic).is there a way to download the firmware while i have my machine at home and then install when i am back with the user (i only see the user for about 1 hour a week)

Mar 25, 2012I have an Iphone 4s with ios 5.1. I go to college out of the country and therefore use VOIP apps w/ push notification. I noticed that when my screen is off for a few minutes, the phone will not receive push notificaitons right away. (I test this by calling myself) The phone acts like WIFI has gone to sleep, but a few minutes later, it will wake up and show the notification. Another way I can immediately get it to show the notification is to turn the phone on myself. I tried restoring the iphone and turning off cellular data and am having the same problem.

IPhone :: It Won't Play Movies On TV Like It's Supposed To
Apr 15, 2012I've hooked everything up properly. Movies play just fine from my iPad2 but when I try and play a movie that I loaded onto my iPhone the tv just says "no signal". Movie plays fine on the phone itself. I even plugged phone into power source thinking maybe the phone didn't have enough power to play a movie on tv. Still "no signal". I'm on vacation and hoped to watch a couple of movies.

Sep 3, 2010Iphodroid was released a couple days ago. The progam installs the android os onto an original iphone or 3g and allows for a dual boot of android and ios. Has anyone here tried it yet? I want to try it but I have yet to see anyone talk about a succesful install. The iphodroid forums have recently been redone so not much useful discussion is there. Any one out there got any details?

The latest track was released yesterday and it says I purchased it in the store but it hasn't downloaded. It hasn't done this before when the artist has released a track and I didn't get the email that usually comes that lets me know it is downloading.

Nokia :: E71 Supposed To Be 3MP Camera
Mar 15, 2010Is there any way of getting the E71's camera to take a good quality picture?It's supposed to be a 3MP camera. But I've tried printing off standard 6x4 prints of pictures I've taken (in good lighting conditions), and yet the pictures are blurry will blotchy colouring - they look like they were taken on a poor quality VGA camera.
I've checked, and the camera is set to take pictures of the highest resolution available. What I have noticed, is that a lot of the pictures come out as files which are less than 350KB in size, which seems a very small file size for a picture taken with 3MP resolution.
To compare, I've looked at some pictures taken on my LG Viewty, and they are all on average about 1.6MB in size. As that is a 5MP camera, and working it back, pictures taken on a 3MP camera should come in at just under 1MB.Seriously, my old Nokia 6630 from 5 years ago made much better quality prints with it's 1.3MP camera, and that just doesn't seem right.

Mar 20, 2012I have an iphone 4s. Recently, it stopped working with the app store and itunes. When I try to download a new app or update an existing app, all I get is the message "waiting..." below the app. This will go on indefinitely. When I try to download a new song or podcast, it says it is downloading but it doesn't. I have tried signing out from my itunes account and signing back in, closing all apps in multitasking, and restarting my iphone. Nothing seems to fix the problem. I can still connect it to my Macbook and update / add apps and songs / podcasts that way, but it is inconvenent. I would rather be able to do these things as I should be able to... straight from my phone.
