With the map loader it was possible to download the maps to a memory card (only after started once Ovi maps on the phone) without connect the phone to the computer. With Ovi suite it is not possible do it anymore.
please back this function. To download several GB I need time and download the maps directly on the memory card give me the possibility to use the phone normally.
I have problem to download maps into my phone (Nokia C6-00, last firmware v40.0.021). If I launch Ovi Suite (v3.1.1.90) and go to Maps section, screen "Connecting to the map service..." is displayed, but after while: "Couldn't connect to the service - There seems to be a problem with connecting to the online map service. If the problem doesn't go away, please try again later.".
I'm connected over WiFi and all is working normally. I tried connection over USB cable and bluetooth as well, restart computer and phone, reinstall Ovi Suite, format memory card, reinstall device software, reset to factory settings, full reset to initial state (*#7370#) but it wasn't worked.

If I launch maps in my phone and go to Update, there is option "Add new maps", after select appropriate map and click on Download is progress bar "Installing, please wait!" displayed, but process ends with error message "Map download failed!".

View 4 Replies View RelatedI wonder why I cannot download the new maps app. I have now (after upgrading to new SW v. 20 and hard reset) 29.8 Mb of free space on C and yet it fails....Could that be due to the fact that I deleted ( by ignorance ) some files on C when the previous SW version was running ? But since then I have reloaded the new SW version....I am at a loss...! Would somebody know how to make it work?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI can start to download them, then the process stops without any pop ups, so I start it again and it tells me it cannot reach maps at the moment. I've checked on wifi and 3G nothing seems to change.I was able to get the maps before I reseted my phone onto my xbox account.

I'd like to download Own Voice for Nokia Maps in a X6-00 (16Gb) Symbian 5th edition phone. I tried to find it in the nokia store but I don't see the application there any more. I created a voice pack some time ago that I would like very much to use in a different phone.

I have made a complete software update yesterday. The new navigator said, there were no maps on my phone. When trying to download country maps, at about 40 % the grey downloading indicator at the bottom disappears and green download clock starts turning and turning and turning, nothing happens any more (every time same scenario). I have the newest ovi suite, even uninstalled and reinstalled it yesterday. Naigation was actually the only feature I use frequently.

Also from the OVI maps screen if I try to sign into my Nokia accost,(To get A-GPS I think) I get the message saying this requires you to go online, 'yes' brings up the connection failed message. I can browse the internet and go to face book etc. With no problems.

The ovi maps app works with my wlan internet at home but when I try to use my 3G optus network internet it says "connection unavailable- please try again"?
I can access my 3G optus network for all other internet purposes on my phone except ovi maps. What is wrong with it?
Then if I click on the Favourites tab I get "Error occurred. Please refresh the panel" in the left-hand panel. No favourites show. If I do refresh I get a brown banner at the top with "Cannot connect to emote server". This has happened after using it once to plan my first trip. Since then this is all I get. I can sync from Nokia 5800XM. I've filled in the Ovi Maps Help - Customer Support but have had no reply or help other than an automated reply. As a consequence it is rather difficult to plan any routes and use any favourites on the phone. Its possible but not as easy as on-line

View 8 Replies View Relatedi have recently updated my phone(to virsion 50.0.005) and ever since it has been acting really weird. after the update, only the web browser would work. bbc iplayer, Internet app, and maps can not connect to my wifi. i get varying messages on each app saying cant connect or simular. my camera will freeze up after recording a video. somtimes when i unlock the screen it locks the screen again within 2 seconds, i have to keep sliding the unlock key untill it eventually stays unlocked.
somtimes no icons show up in the applications menu and the whole phone is slow and laggy things i have tried to solve the issues: connection destinations have all been deleted and set up again including setting prioritys.
factory reset.
uninstall/reinstalling apps.
formatted the memory card.
restored the backup i made before the update.
what else can i try?......................
I have some photos taken a while on my old N70 that I want to put on my pc. Pc suite wont let me! It dosen't find them on my phone? I obviously downloaded them before on to my old pc but that is now dead. Can I still pull them off the phone onto my new PC?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI can't think of a good reason why Ovi Maps has to be installed on the phone memory. In fact I don't see any reason why any application other than the firmware would need to install on the phone memory. I keep running into memory low issues because I only have 5 MG free on my phone memory, without Ovi Maps I can have up to 27 MG. Am not sure what Nokia is thinking but why can't I install Ovi Maps on the extended memory? I delete the browser cache frequently. I have my mails stored on the extended memory, I always delete temprorary installation files, and still the maximum I can get is 5 MG. Also why I can't uninstall quickoffice? I am aware of some of the memory tips which has been discussed in some forum but it didn't really help me. I am guessing my ultimate solution is to just uninstall Ovi Maps. I like to know anyone here have the same problem.

I have followed numerous instructions fron these forums again with no success.My prob is that when i attempt to use the Ovimap, I get to the main menu and press Position the map shows for a couple of minutes, yellow bar at bottom blinks then phone restarts.Any help would be great.

Options -> Tools -> Settings -> Navigation then Ovi Maps crash and exits.
I had this problem with earlier versions of Maps aswell, and I am really interested to fix this.
I know we can't remove the maps v3.08 from our phone(mine nokia c7) itself because it is not showing in apps manager.But i found out an alternate way.I have not yet tried it ,but u can see if it works and tell us about it.For this use the "Nokia PC Suite v 7.1.62.1" and not nokia ovi suite on ur pc.If u go to application manager in the pc suite it shows all the apps installed including the nokia maps 3.08 and its other files also.

My VZW Galaxy Note 5 and VZW LG G4 have identical Google Maps version: 9.17.1 (#917101224)
However, the Note 5 was able to start using true offline maps/navigation/search while in airplane mode since yesterday.(provided that I downloaded the offline for the city first)
since downloading iSO 5 i can no longer connect to a wireless network. I have tried both at home and at other wireless hotspots. it would appear that none of the previous wireless connections work either? i just get the error "unable to connect to "x"

1- I have installed PC SUIT suitable for nokia N900
2- Also installed nokia map loader version 3.0
Now all is fine. Isn't it? So they said first start nokia map application till it load completely then close it. I did. Then connect ur phone on PC SUIT MODE and also I did that. Then all I get on nokia map loader app is "Waiting for the phone" thats it and phone already connected I tried in both modes pc suit and mass storage but still the same "Waiting for the phone" and I am waiting too.
