I'd like to download Own Voice for Nokia Maps in a X6-00 (16Gb) Symbian 5th edition phone. I tried to find it in the nokia store but I don't see the application there any more. I created a voice pack some time ago that I would like very much to use in a different phone.
View 19 RepliesI have a N85 Navi which I bought less than a year ago. I updated this week the maps and the application (latest version)and added one voice for the navigation. After this update when I open the Maps and select Settings and Navigation (to change i.e. voice), Maps closes automatically without any error messages. I can open all the other settings sub-menus. Any ideas why this is happening? Do I have the to re-install the application, maps and voices?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have problem to download maps into my phone (Nokia C6-00, last firmware v40.0.021). If I launch Ovi Suite (v3.1.1.90) and go to Maps section, screen "Connecting to the map service..." is displayed, but after while: "Couldn't connect to the service - There seems to be a problem with connecting to the online map service. If the problem doesn't go away, please try again later.".
I'm connected over WiFi and all is working normally. I tried connection over USB cable and bluetooth as well, restart computer and phone, reinstall Ovi Suite, format memory card, reinstall device software, reset to factory settings, full reset to initial state (*#7370#) but it wasn't worked.

If I launch maps in my phone and go to Update, there is option "Add new maps", after select appropriate map and click on Download is progress bar "Installing, please wait!" displayed, but process ends with error message "Map download failed!".
I have Version 3.03 with map version 0.1.23.112 and I'm going crazy trying to figure out why it doesn't speak when I'm navigating. As in it doesn't say when to make a left or right.When I had the phone (brand new) it has nokia maps and then I updated it thru my phone and gave me Ovi Maps.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have nokia 5230 and a serious problem. After about one year of usage, the offline search of street names just did not work any more. I have made a complete software update yesterday. The new navigator said, there were no maps on my phone. When trying to download country maps, at about 40 % the grey downloading indicator at the bottom disappears and green download clock starts turning and turning and turning, nothing happens any more (every time same scenario). I have the newest ovi suite, even uninstalled and reinstalled it yesterday. Naigation was actually the only feature I use frequently.

I've installed the Ovi Maps 2.0 and download, through the nokia program the maps for Brazil and Brazilian Portuguese voice. During the "Drive"/"Walk" options in Ovi Maps, there is no voice. I don't know what to do. I've checked the updates on the phone software and map software through the computer and it says as the last version.

Ovi Maps does not provide voice navigation. Java is not supported so such brilliant apps such as the Opera browsers can not be installed onto it. PC suite is not yet available it the phone. So at first glance it is a great phone that could match the IPhone, but more work needs to be done to it to make it the all singing and dancing phone that Nokia needs it to be. If i am wrong on these points could someone point me in the right direction of addressing them
I own a Nokia E71 and I am very excited about Nokia Maps. I am not a good computer user but somehow managed to land into this forum. I have downloaded Nokia Maps on my Nokia - E71 and its awesome but the voice navigation is not working. When I tried to download Voices using "Map Loader" it shows no entry. I have attached the screenshot of "Map Loader" for your reference.

View 6 Replies View Relatedafter updating Ovi Maps to final version 3.06 10wk50 with new maps 0.2.42.122 the German voice guidance with street names is broken. The voice announces i.e. to turn right in one kilometer and again to turn right now, but the announcement to turn right in about 300 meters including the street name or the highway number and direction is missing completely. Sometimes the command to turn now is also left out. I tried using the German female voice without street names as well as the UK English voice with street names - both work well without any problems.I already reinstalled Ovi Maps via Ovi Store, deleted the qf file and the cities folder on the mass memory and re-downloaded the map and voice files, I resetted the phone via *#7370# and reinstalled the actual firmware (013.016) via Ovi Suite without success.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI downloaded and installed maps of Australia and the surfer dude voice using map loader. However my maps application did not detect any drive navigation voice. When I browsed the voices folder however it was there.i had to download another voice thru the maps application (sadly no surfer dud) in order to get voice navigation. Is there any reason for this? I am using a 5800 with v31 and im using maps v3.04. Although with both v3.03 and 3.04 the same problem was there.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a C5-00 5MP and I downloaded maps for walking ("with street names"). But Ovi Maps seems unable to get aware of it : the menu allowing to select the walking guidance voice in settings remains empty. The voices for driving guidance are displayed OK though.

i have maps 3.04v? i used Nokia Suite to transfer maps of Bosnia and Hercegovina, Croatia and Serbia. Nokia Suite also transferred Europe base map. But i think i can only view base map of Europe. I cant view detiled maps of cityies.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia 500 with Belle installed (vers: 111.021.0028) and Nokia Suite vers 3.6.36.On the 17.12.2012 I've installed the latest version of Romania maps: 00.02.47.103 and since then I get the same error message 'car navigation cannot start at this location'. I can access the maps, I get the correct position but the problem occurs when I try to navigate to any address. It doesn't seem to have an actual issue with the location because I've tried several locations in Bucharest and got the same error.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a nokia E7 (Blue) US Version but I am using it in Canada. I updated it to Symbian Anna and so on. Everytime I try to add new maps from the cell phone itself it says (downloading list, please wait) this takes FOREVER, then i try to do it by nokia ovi suite, well that is even worse, sometimes it says THERE SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH CONNECTING THE ONLINE MAPS, sometimes it says some crazy errors (COULDNT CONNECT TO THE SERVICE, ETCC). I deleted the E:/cities folder + QF file, I opened the Ovi map apps and they got restored and so on but still nothing happens. Is there any other way to add some map I mean MANUALLY? I need the USA and Canada map, (voice guidande male us), I read some discussion from Ovikudy on how to do it manually but i need theses files.
BTW, I regret buying this Nokia E7 big time I should have listened to my friends and go to ANDROID. I know nokia is killing symbian but please fix those MAP serverS.
e is a bug with Nokia maps 3.08. When I open maps And use it I can see two map applications running. One of them is1. Nokia maps engine consuming 6MB ram which consists following sub apps- a)maps 0029b6cb)s2gvariantserv.exec)syncshareserver.exed)maplauncher.exee)NPS.exeAnother application running is2. Nokia maps consuming around 2.4MB which consists following apps-a)map_0x20001f63.exeb)OvimapsinstallprocesscleanerWhen I close maps properly from EXIT button, only the second application goes off from open apps. The first application consuming 6MB of ram just stays in the ram until I reboot. Thus reducing the precious free ram. This was not the case with earlier 3.06 version.

I can play anything just fine(streaming music or MP3/FLAC/WAV files stored on the phone).When I'm listening to the car stereo itself(CD, FM/AM, etc), I usually leave the phone plugged in. If I want to use Google Maps voice navigation, I'll have to physically disconnect the 3.5m audio cable if I want to hear the voice navigation on my phone. (again, this is when I'm only playing a CD on the car stereo)Is there a way to get around this so that I don't have to plug/unplug in the aux input cable all the time?

View 3 Replies View Relatedtried to update my v3.06 11wk23 b05, version 0.2.45.109 to the "new" v3.08 but ovi suite doesn't recognise it.
i have tried multiple ways of getting it but i am not succeeding.
(1) ovi suite (with phone connected) would only do a country update (new zealand)
(2) ovi store via mobile service tells me i have v.308 but a physical check as per above clearly states i ony have v3.06.
(3) software update on the N8 doesn't recognise a maps update.
(4) i have tried the "updates" in the maps application itself but comes up with "the most recent map is already installed on your phone. no updates available. your map version: 00.02.45.109 release date: 30.11.2011"
how do i get the latest version of Nokia Maps v3.08 for N8 if all sources have failed?
I have submitted a few 'wrong location' reports via my phone and after months -nothing has changed.My N8 says they were submitted.....
