Since downloading the new Nokia Messaging client 10.2.0.4 (Main) on my N97 Mini (11.0.045) it refuses to sync with my gmail account (it worked prior to downloading the new client via Software update on the phone).
I've tried changing the "When to Sync" setting to soonest or 15 mins etc but that makes no difference. If I change the access point it will open a connection (which it wont have done until this point) but still no sync. It never seems to close the connection, unless the phone is rebooted.Anyone have the new messaging client working ?
I have a good Gmail account with lots of contacts and calendar entries. My device had been synched with this account until this morning when I did a restore from a date prior to having set up the gmail account. I added the gmail account back to the Torch after the restore, and the mail is functioning fine. But the contacts and calendar are not synching between the Torch and the gmail account.
My Photon 4 G does not sync calendar, contact, Gmail with my company Gmail account. I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I've pulled the batter. I really do not want to reset to factory default. Suggestions? (Please note this is a company Gmail account, not just regular Gmail.)
I subscribed to Nokia messaging using my Gmail ID, but due to some reasons, decided to reload the phone software, and hence unsubscribed.
Now when I subscribe again using the same mail Id, and changed password, the system registers me, but when I try to log in to manage my account, it does not accept my new password, and asks me to log in using the password which I used when I first registered. Even after supplying that password, it does not allow me to log in and show up the following message:"We are unable to process your request at this time. Try again later."
I have been using Nokia E72 for quite some time now and was pretty happy with the email client. I am using Gmail through IMAP for more than a year now on my Nokia E72. However, lately the Gmail has stopped synchronization with the email servers. While the mail shows connected but new mails are not fetched from the server despite several attempts.
While I am still able to send mails from my already configured gmail account and that is working fine but new mails retrievals from the server is not working for any reason I am not able to find
I have also tried to delete this account and reconfigure the GMAIL via IMAP4 however the results are still the same.My phone software is updated to the letest version available on Nokia Suite.
If this problem still persists for a long time and I am unable to find a solution for the same I fear I might have to move to a different phone possibly an Android or a Blackberry. The last email retrieved on my phone was on February 16, 2012 and after that there are 100s of emails exchanged but my phone doesn't sync.
Have problem with sync gmail on my nokia n97. from last week nokia showssync process but at the end I have the same email in inbox like i have before. No new emails coming from server. You've probably all been asked this loads and I've read some forums posts and tried software but ive not been able to find a solution or answer.Basically Ive just got myself a Storm2 and was told by my provider that I could sync my emails from outlook to my device and back like a windows mobile device. As ive found out this isnt the case, I really like the phone and dont want to hand it back over to swap for another device but if I dont find a solution then I wont have a choice. My question is, is there any software available that will sync my device to my computer the same as a WM device does through activesync?I have tried Astrasync and Notifysync both which throw errors up and dont work
Desktop mgr 188.8.131.52.When I connect (via USB) the connection appears to be recognised - clock appears on BB and PC beeps. After a few minutes PC & BB icons appear on BB screen but no interconnecting arrows. When I try to sync there is no device and PIN number showing on Device Mgr so it doesn't sync. Then the Desktop Mgr greys out and appears to freeze - I then have to disconnect the BB to unfreeze.
Device manager shows two RIM virtual serial ports v2 Com 3 & Com 4. If I try to update the drivers it says most up to date are loaded although the drivers are dated 24 Nov 2008 and are version 184.108.40.206 and appear to be called RimSerial_AMD64.sys (I'm using Intel i7 processor).
Devices & Printers screen shows a RIM Composite Device icon. Windows in Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
Is there a way to bypass using the Gmail enhanced plug-in? IE as a POP or just plain old IMAP? the Enhanced plug-in kills my battery big time as it runs all the time. I love the feature but it makes battery life a bit of drain.
since new year my BB inbox doesn't sync with my gmail account. Im running the latest OS (7.1.0) for Bold 9900, I've checked gmail configuration, I've deleted and reconfigured the gmail account in my BB but nothing works.
I cannot get the Gmail Enhanced Plugin to work on my Tour 9630 w/ Verizon.
My Gmail account sends and receives messages fine, but I can't get any of the extra features included with the plugin. I have tried many different setup procedures but can't seem to get it to work.I've tried deleting my Gmail account from the Verizon BIS website, and then adding it again. That didn't work.
I tried deleting my Gmail account, uninstalling the plugin, resetting my BB, installing the plugin, and re-adding my Gmail account. That also didn't work.If it helps I'm using the v5.0 OS.
Is there any way to get Threaded SMS & Enhanced Gmail options in Messages?
I am forced to have separate inboxes to get the better features in the current setup and there are no shortcuts to get to the MMS & SMS inbox or Enhanced gmail inbox from Messages making it even more of a pain.
I am new to Blackberry, the proud owner of a Torch 9810. I love a lot of things about it except e-mail handling.I am having to manually delete mails already deleted from my laptop. My Torch is not reconciling my Gmail automatically; in fact, when I go to the BB menu in e-mail to manually reconcile by selecting that command, it still doesn't work. The above wouldn't bother me quite so badly if I didn't have to delete them (again) one at a time. I'm sure there must be a way to select multiple e-mails from my Inbox to delete en masse, but I haven't hit upon it yet.
For the past two or three day my X10a (2.1) had continually been trying to sync to my Gmail account. I can turn auto-sync or the data off to make it stop, but once turned back out it starts up again. I have deleted most of my newer mail in case there was something bad included with the mail. Not sure what my next step would be. With the phone trying to sync all the time make it slow to respond to commands.
so I've got the google calendar sync set up on the x10 and gotten it verified by the gmail mobile set up.. and the syncing works both ways for future events.. for some reason no past events on the gmail calendar syncs with the x10 calendar..although any events set up in the past on the x10 calendar updates the gmail calendar fine.. does anyone know if this is a "feature" or do I have to set up some personal settings differently? although for the life of me I can't find any settings on the x10 calendar that specifies the length of time the sync should work for!I know this is not a huge issue but I have had to restore from backups cos of various problems with my x10, so everytime I'm having to manually create the past calendar entries (which I use as tracking meaures for various projects I'm working on) on the phone by looking @ the gmail calendar.
On my Verizon G4, in an effort to improve battery life, I've changed the sync schedule for my Comcast email to every hour. I can't seem to locate a place to change my Gmail sync schedule similarly. under Accounts, I've located a way to turn sync off and on for Gmail, but that's it. Am I missing something?
I officially got my HTC One yesterday! Holy cow is thing awesome and the whole android world after leaving Windows and previously iPhone.I have GMail set up thru the GMail app.i have my Outlook.com set up thru the mail app.I can change sync setting with my outlook.com emails (I have 2). I cannot change sync settings for the Gmail?
I moved from iPhone to HTC One (on VZW) recently and I am having a hard time figuring out the syncing process on Android phones, esp HTC One I have. I have a gmail account and a lot of contacts are there, but there are some that were only on my iPhone so I imported all my iPhone ones to the HTC One.
I consider myself a power user. Please do not refer to older apps (like Contacts, its really People app now in JB). Also, I have lost about 60 contacts recently while trying to figure out the process.
I think it would be useful if I ask few specific questions:
1. Are gmail contacts the master contacts for syncing purposes? If yes, what is the role of Google+?
2. If I'd like all my contacts to be always backed up and in sync with Gmail contacts, does it really make sense to have local phone contact? Somebody I met recently showed me that he adds all his contacts directly to Google from the phone (HTC One), so I was wondering if keeping local phone contact is really necessary. Mention any scenarios in which local phone contacts would be appropriate.
3. How does the relationship between phone contact and my google contact (gmail, that is) work in terms of addition, update and delete? When I erased all my contacts on phone, it ended up erasing my contacts from gmail when I tried to sync contacts.
4. In HTC One People app, when you add a contact, it defaults to "Phone". Is there a way to change that default to "Google account"? I saw on someone's phone and they could not explain how that was configured.
My wife and I both have iphones and ipads and macs.In the past 2 weeks her gmail has become a problem only on the iphone. It keeps asking for username and password.I hit the threads and saw a "verification" link that worked for some.I followed instructions to log out of all gmail accounts on all devices, then went to her iphone and did the verification. It works for about 10 hours (sometimes more, sometimes less) and then we get the message again. All the while her ipad and mac are fine.I've compared my settings to her settings on the iphone and we are identical on major items.
I am having issues with BIS Gmail e-mail two way sync. Contacts and calendar are fine. I have deleted the account & re-added upgraded the device firmware but to no avail. I can delete e-mails off the BlackBerry and read them and this is reflected on the Mailbox (webmail gmail). BUT If I read or delete an e-mail on the webmail, it DOES NOT reflect on the BlackBerry.
I am trying to sync my gmail calendar to my blackberry, but apparently I need a physics degree or similar to be able to do so...... I used to use google synch, but this no longer works & they have stopped supporting it for blackberry, so no help there. Reading through many forums I saw that I could use BIS to do this. Have downloaded what I think is BIS but mystified about what to do next. I only want to synch my gmail calendar to my blackberry one, how hard can it be?
