I officially got my HTC One yesterday! Holy cow is thing awesome and the whole android world after leaving Windows and previously iPhone.I have GMail set up thru the GMail app.i have my Outlook.com set up thru the mail app.I can change sync setting with my outlook.com emails (I have 2). I cannot change sync settings for the Gmail?
View 10 RepliesI have been trying to set the gmail sync setting. All I can figure out is that the sync is either auto on or off.
The other email accounts have settings for sync frequency and are easy to manage but I cannot find any way to control the frequency of gmail syncing.
On my Verizon G4, in an effort to improve battery life, I've changed the sync schedule for my Comcast email to every hour. I can't seem to locate a place to change my Gmail sync schedule similarly. under Accounts, I've located a way to turn sync off and on for Gmail, but that's it. Am I missing something?

I have a curve 9300 and running BD v 6.0.1. I can backup data so assume software and phone are talking but whenever I sync or try and change the organiser settings which are currently all unchecked I get an error message 'unknown error reported'.

I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I've pulled the batter. I really do not want to reset to factory default. Suggestions? (Please note this is a company Gmail account, not just regular Gmail.)

My blackberry (9700 Bold OS6) stopped receiving emails from one of my gmail accounts. Sending a message as following:Your gmail email messages are not being delivered to your BlackBerry® device. To receive your email messages, turn on the IMAP setting for All Mail in your murat account. After you turn on the IMAP setting for All Mail, you must validate your account on your BlackBerry device. 1. Click the Setup folder (if available), then click the Email Settings or Setup Internet Email* icon. 2. Click Email Accounts. 3. Validate your murat email account. The other email accounts on your BlackBerry device are not affected.
Problem is that the IMAP setttings for this account is ok. I also have another gmail account with the same settings and that is functioning very well. I also have Mail receiving programs on my computer which are receiving well all the mail via IMAP settings. So the problem is not the a settings problem but a blackberry's receiving problem.I tried validate the email address by writing my password, it validates but immediatly I receive a new message same as above. I also tried:
- cancelling and re-adding the gmail account (via internet site and also via phone)
- changing the password an retry validating
- cancelling service books
- formatting the blackberry and reinstallling the software
but none of these methods worked, everytime I received the same error message, whatever I tried to do.I called my operator, he couldn't resolve neither the problem, I even gave him my gmail account password to him so he can validate it in their servers, or so he can check my gmail settings, but everything looks normal.
I use a Mac laptop at home (older one with Tiger OS) , and PC at work. I do not want to share home info with the work PC but would like to be able to sync my work outlook calendar to my iphone 6.I also do not want my work email on my iphone. Of course the IT guys at work don't like Macs and say this can't be done.Â

It won't let me delete and eventually changes to a date in the year 2000 then randomly will go away. It just shows up on it's own. Email setup with default gmail account settings.

The closest I can find is this:Gmail -> Menu -> More -> Settings -> (my gmail address). Then there is a checkbox for Email notifications to enable/disable a notification to the Status Bar upon new email arrival. But this appears to be status bar icon notifications only, not a ringtone / sound.

I want to sync with gmail, but I must of choose the wrong default option, when you add a new one, it asks you gmail or motoblur, always use this choice.
I added a contact and it looks like its a motoblur contact, when I go into accounts motoblur has a lock symbol next to it (odd).
anyhow to the questions:
1) How do I change add contacts to use gmail, now that I do not have a choice when adding new contacts.
2) Is there a qucik guide to remote wipe.
3) Someone mentioned they used motoblur to find their phone, how can I do that?

since new year my BB inbox doesn't sync with my gmail account. Im running the latest OS (7.1.0) for Bold 9900, I've checked gmail configuration, I've deleted and reconfigured the gmail account in my BB but nothing works.

I love a lot of things about it except e-mail handling.I am having to manually delete mails already deleted from my laptop. My Torch is not reconciling my Gmail automatically; in fact, when I go to the BB menu in e-mail to manually reconcile by selecting that command, it still doesn't work.The above wouldn't bother me quite so badly if I didn't have to delete them (again) one at a time.
