I do not find any working network in a particular place,sometimes the place varies. But, this is not a problem with the network operator because i plugged in my sim card in a different phone and it works fine.At the same time, the n 97 mini constantly gives the error message 'connection error'. However, this problem only occurs in some (one or two) particular places and works fine in other places.But, this is annoying me because the no. of times im getting this error message is increasing day by day. I disconnected bluetooth,wlan,internet connection and factory reset the phone but the problems persist.

I have a noia lumia 710, and whenever I connect my windows phone , zune opens but then an error message prompts. I purchased it new. It worked fine for a week or so, then I switched to another network operator. When I try to connect automatically it says "Registered on network" but there is no signal. I changed 3 sim cards so far. Still the same. When I put the sim card in another phone that also works, the other phone manages to find the signal. I put back the sim card in my Xperia, it works fine until for some reason I have no signal and the circle continues. I love my phone, I want it to work, with this provider. I am very annoyed. The network provider doesn't know what could it be, they blame the phone. But the phone works with other providers with no problem so I assume it is something else.I did a factory settings restore, I checked for updates.
I have Nokia n97 mini and I tried to connect it with my home wireless router ( Linksys G-access Point ) it connected but when I try to start browsing it says ( Invailed Server Name ) , I thought the problem was in my router but my sister's phone ( Nokia E66 ) works fine with my wireless router so I asked my self maybe the prob was from my phone so I tried my phone in my friend's house and it worked fine with his DSL modem .......
I just got a new Nokia N97 mini today. I was really excited to log onto the internet, but it doesn't work, using O2 Mobile Web on pay as you go (unlimited internet).
I can log onto the internet if I connect to my router, through the WLAN, but I'm assuming you can connect through the network provider too, for if you want to use the internet while out of the house?
I called up O2 services and they set they didn't have any listed settings that they could send to me, and that it would be best if I just look through google.
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem with O2, and if it could be fixed? Or if I should just get a new SIM card with another network that can provide unlimited internet on pay as you go, and that WILL work on my new phone?
i have a N97 mini since 3 month. I not have a phone plan with internet and i don't need that. But i have always a pop-up for a internet connection. I would like remove this pop-up.
Very often, when connecting the phone to usb, there is no reaction. Even the charging-led is not switched on.Reboot of phone sometimes, but not always work.Best way forward is to switch off the phone when connected, then the charging starts, and then restarting the phone very often lead to a connection at the end.
So is there a known bug or issue with the phone? Or does anybody know what to look at to solve that problem?
Ive joined o2 web where u pay £7.50 a month for unlimited internet but when I try to connect it says connecting via o2 WAP then says no connection available. I've tried it at home, work, everywhere but still nothing? my dad is on exactly the same and works perfect everywhere. it works at home connecting to the WiFi. So I guess I am just not setting it up properly.
I have had many kind of problems connecting my N97 mini with my laptop but have finally hitted the edge in this issue and didn't find an answer existing here. When I updated my Ovi Suite to the latest version the connection to my N97 mini was cutted off. This was maybe two weeks ago and I haven't been able to connect the phone to the laptop with PC suite connection form ever since (and no further updates available). I can sure connect with the Ovi Music in other connection forms and store the music to my phone but any connections with the Ovi Suite fails. There for I cannot sync my photoes or address book or get the new updates by my computer. What could I do to get the connection back? Install an older version again? Where to get one?
Today I checked the program updates with my phone application and there is software version 12.0.110 available to upload. Well, my phone does offer for other updates to "start to update" but this one gives only option to "update via computer" (I don't know the exact terms for the option written in the quotes since I use my Nokia in Finnish). How could I get the updates to my phone via computer when I cannot connect with the Ovi Suite anymore?
Only recently got the phone and I've noticed that, usually at around 11.50pm, there is an outwards WAP connection for about 3.30 mins. This would be fine if I had free mobile internet on my contract but I don't. My network (Vodafone) charges 50p a day (counted from 12am to 12pm) for unlimited internet so I can see this getting unnecessarily costly.
I do have a N97 mini for some weeks now (non-branded phone bought in Germany) and until today it worked fine.Since today the USB connection to a PC does not work anymore -- after connecting the N97 mini to a PC the PC does not recognize the new USB device and there is no selection menu on the N97 mini. In addition there's no message on the phone that the battery is charging.
I tried this with different USB cables and different PCs - on both PCs the USB connection worked before without problems.I can still charge the batterie with the normal charger (which also connects to the USB port).What can I do to fix this error?
When I press web to browse the internet, it always comes up as a WAP connection.My mates got an i phone, and can browse the internet as you would on a computer. Can I do this or am I stuck with the WAP?
I have a problem with a Nokia N85. Sometimes I try to make a call I see: Connection Error, and if you call that number go again. I just happen 4-5 times a day and is annoying. The network is set to GSM. I did factory reset and hard reset but nothing. And another thing: about once a twice a day to receive voicemail messages as well as I would have called someone and had no signal ... If you can help me somehow ...? I apologize for emphasis, I am from Romania.(Another thing I do not know if it relates to what I wrote above, I start the phone tells me to write code lock, 12345 write, it write code error but then the phone works)
just bought this e72 two days ago,the problem is why with my integrated gps it wont work at all,plus at the gps data{position} it said no connection, i cant even check the satellite status i'm standing in a big and wide field under the sky but still it says gps works poorly in enclosed and indoor area.
I just updated my E72 yesterday and apart from fixed bugs, now I've got more serious problems. I couldn't connect to the internet for sure. It says "No connection available". Besides, when I look into my contacts, I couldn't use the search mode. It says "Building cache. I've had my e72 since February, but I only just finally got around to downloading ovi suite on my PC. installation was fine, then it came to the part where it says to connect the phone, so I did that, but nothing happened. the thing on the PC said that I should select 'ovi suite' or 'PC suite' when it appears on the phone, but the home screen was blank. i've tried connecting it many times and still nothing. the phone lights up when i connect it to the computer, but it doesn't prompt me for the connection mode. i've checked the settings (currently on usb conn. mode: PC suite / ask on conn.: yes) but it's not asking me on connection, nor is there any indication on the ovi suite program that it is connected.
I came across a weird problem with online connection. I use a Nokia X6 (16GB) + external bluetooth GPS receiver for faster and more accurate positioning.When I open MAPS and I have bluetooth GPS ON it's impossible to connect to online services like weather, michelin, OVI placemarks sync.It seems the app can't handle a BT and WiFi connection at the same time. Most of the time it can't connect and some times ti crashes.If I turn BT GPS OFF then connection is normal.

I'm trying to update the firmware on my N97 using the SU on my laptop. Although I have no problem getting connected via PC suite, SU won't recognise that my N97 is connected.
After establishing connection to PC running on Windows 7 via micro usb cable, there is a problem with keeping internet connection alive.The connection should work because the icon on the phones display shows that the phone is connected to the internet, but the connection seems to be lost somewhere between mobile device and PC (not mobile device and mobile network) although the phone is fully capable to transfer other data via cable between computer and phone, this is the same when connection is created via PC Suite or Ovi suite, or manually established connection using the mobile as a modem.The internet access is possible only after every new connections which works always randomly f.e. it fails/stops transferring data from/to internet after few seconds/minutes or transferred amount of data, it is always different.Windows diagnoses this problem as a problem with DNS server.SW version 022.007 RM-530, E72-1 Custom version 022.007.C00.001
I have been using my N8 for one year. I have not faced any problem so far except this one. For the last couple of days, Whenever I start to speak on the phone , in a few seconds time, call ends and I get same message."CONNECTION ERROR"
I have been trying to reach an email setup on my N97 mini that I am happy with and so far have struggled and given up on the hopeless nokia email client, and am now having problems with setting destinations for automatic email retrieval. I have my internet destination set to prioritize to different wlans and then WAP. This is my default connection.
I have a gmail and a pop3 email account, set up for automatic retrieval, however they don't pull in any mail if the access point in use is set to default connection. If its set to WLAN, it works, if its set to contract WAP, it works, and if its set to default connection it works for manual connection but not automatic retrieval.
What makes it worse is I am sure it was set up and working last week? Any thoughts please? I am getting so frustrated with the error prone nature of email on this phone I am thinking of going back to my trusted N95 8GB.
When I select a WiFi network from the E72 home page, it shows me the option to "Start web browsing".(The other 2 options at this stage are "Search for WLAN" and "Switch WLAN scan off". When I select the option to "Start web browsing", I get a list of bookmarks for the browser. But when I select any of those bookmarks, I get an error message "WLAN: WLAN connection already active. Close it and try again". Has anyone seen this before ? Any clues as to how to solve this?
I recently bought a 5230 on a talk mobile monthly contract and I'v had a few connection problems. First of all I can't check for updates for my phone or the software on it. I just get an error message which says 'connection error'.Similarly with Maps it simply won't connect to the internet saying 'something went wrong with the connection, please try again'.The other internet accessing functions of the phone, like the browser and ovi store etc, work fine. Does anybody have any ideas as to what the problem might be?
My n97 was working perfect til i installed the latest updates, since then all i get when i try to make a call is "connection error" and a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it, I cant receive phone calls either it goes straight to voice mail...The phone was sent to a repair center where they fixed my charging problems, replaced the camera lens and never bothered with the "connection error". Ive sent several emails to Nokia but no response, the phone is almost 6 months old and is on Vodafone, Ive tied another sim card in it and still no joy...Plz help as £300 is not good value for a 6 month old phone,
I have this annoyin problem AGAIN!!! Each time I attempt to make a phone call I get a connection error message and also can't receive or send sms or receive calls but I can get on the net via wifi and wap.The phone has been back to a nokia repair center where they replaced my camera lens (which was OK) and completely ignored my reasons for need of repair...It came back with the exact same errors it went with, I read on here how to do a hard reset which for some reason worked for a day then the phone continued with the connection error. I have sent numerous emails to the so called Nokia Support Center and have yet to receive a reply after 2 months, I've also rang them and have been passed around various places and ended up on the phone with the 1st person I spoke to, none of these people could help me..
I bought the N97 from a seller on eBay and was completely sealed brand new in the box and the seller is unwilling to communicate or help. The phone is sim-locked to vodafone.. It is an original n97 not a clone or copy. I've tried updating to the latest version but ovi updated says it don't exist. Is there anyway to get a replacement handset from Nokia or anyway to force them to respond and help me, or is there anyone out there know what my problem is? Thnx for any help.
So this is a new problem, never had this before. I often use wireless, but sometimes it has poor signal and is impossible to use so I also use simple mobile internet. Usually the phone using opera mini asks if you want to use mobile internet (not wireless) but now it almost never does, so I get the connection error message as there is no wireless, but I also cannot use my mobile internet. Just today it gave me problems because of that. bassicly, I cannot use internet, unless I have good wireless signal.And I have mobile internet as priority number 1 in my settings. So is there something else to do? This problem is appearing and dissapearing. Thought could be from bad wireless, it kinda locks itself on it or something, but turning off the phone doesn't help.I hope I gave all the neccesary details for someone to understand this
I have Nokia 5800 since 1 year. It was working fine and battery life time was 2 to 3 days. Before 3 days, I was outside when my phone switched off due to battery run out. After 5 hours arrived my home and plugged in the charger and switched on the phone immediately.I was surprised when I found that the time is 5 hours back, it should be correct in new phones.Any way, since that time when I am trying to call any number, I am getting connection error and No network coverage alarms although I have a strong signal bar and 3G is persists.I had to restart my phone and I could make a call until it stopped again.Also I noticed that the battery is running out after 6 hours only.I tried many things until I solved the connection problem by changing the network mode from Dual to GSM and it worked fine but still the battery life time is around only 6 hours.Actually, I don't know what the problem is. Is it a hardware or software problem? I read many topics that soft and hard reset has no use. I upgraded Firmware to V 30 .0.011 since 7 months without any problem.No I am trying to recalibrate the battery and adjust its pins hopefully it will work.
