My nokia 6600slide cannot send any SMS never ever but can send the same SMS as MMS only so that cost me a lot from my credit I try to return to factor system and make update to my phone but it still as it was can anyone help me
View 4 RepliesI have a Nokia 5530 XpressMusic that is 3 months old And I've had no problems with it until recently.It has come to my attention that When I send smiley faces or winks such as ^___^ or ^___~, the ^ and ~ signs do not show up to whomever i send the text message to and only the underscore ___ is seen by the reciever. In my inbox it shows those symbols but in the reciever's inbox it's just an underscore. I'm not sure if that happens to other characters since i mainly use those two.I update the software/firmware (I'm not familiar with the terminology) frequently. So I'm not sure if this problem is just the phone that I recieved or if not all phones could recieve the ^ /~ sign (i doubt it though).

When I press details it says "General: memory full. Close some applications and try again".... I have no applications
open and have pressed and held the menu button to check and defiantly don't. I have turned it off And on, re installed message settings, deleted stuff, even reinstalled factory settings and its still not working id much appreciate some help. It did the same thing on Tuesday but was fine when I woke up Wednesday morning. It did it again 10pm Wednesday night and is still the same and its Friday xx I have posted this message on facebook and got told to ask here. I don't know if there is already a topic on this, but I really want to sort this problem out. I have always had Ionians and they have usually been very reliable...
It would be much easier to send messages using the keyboard by the enter key or another key rather than moving upto the screen and hittin send

When I send a picture through iMessage, sometimes it takes up to 3-4 minutes to send. Sometimes when I text using MMS/iMessage, it takes a minute or so for the sending bar to make the swoosh noise. Kind of weird it takes that long to send a message, and it's not all the time. Is this normal? Any help would be great.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have my 3 yrs old nokia 6600.it got a strange problem ,it just get turned off on its own .whenever you can think while charging .idle or in my pocket.and after starting it asks for date and time,sometimes it didn't starts but it starts when i tap the phone on my palm .i also noticed that it also get turned off when tapped in on position.Now it doesn't starts at all,screen lights up momentarily only when charger plugged in and switched on.then it gets off.i have tried other batteries,sim also,reset it but no use.

However, the device specific version doesn't support Windows 7. So I am stuck. Is there a workaround to either force the device-specific version to work on Win7 of get the 6600 to work with the normal PC Suite?

On the old thread it sounded like I have no choice, but that was re: a different type of BB. If anyone knows how to even get into my options to look I'd appreciate it. I've read how other people are getting there - going from the main menu to email settings/options/advanced settings, etc, but I can't find all the "options" I need.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've recently got my hands on a Nokia 6600 Slide, and I'm quite happy with it. I would also like to use it as my personal music player, but I have one issue.When I listen to music, I mostly listen to the whole albums, and in the case of most albums I listen to, the track order matters a lot. However, when I copy an album from my hard disk to the memory card of my phone, I cannot get the album to play in the correct track order.
For instance, I click "Play" on an album I select in the Music Player application. Then, rather than playing tracks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and so on, it plays track 4, 3, 6, 2, 7, 1, and so on - this track order is always the same (for one album at least), and it seems I cannot correct it. The "shuffle" function is turned off, mind you. The files are usually named "number. title.mp4", or "artist - number - title.mp4", and they all have track tags.
My 6600 slide starts up but complains that "Phone memory almost full. Delete items?" but before I can select any to delete, the backlight turns off and won't come back on or turn off fully. Only way to continue is remove battery to reboot. But then the same thing happens. There are way too many messages stored, I know, but just can't delete any. Is there a way to access with the computer and do the deletes?

I have never had a mobile phone that has such poor signal quality,and it drops calls due to this.Just a question to nokia I quote:When designing this phone and you located the antenna at the bottom of the phone where 90% of the time when you pick it up it gets covered, did you not think it would have an affect on the ability of the phone to pick a signal up.When I turn the phone upside down I get a brilliant signal and the 3g network is a lot stronger. I can't cope with this anymore and using a phone I had 3 years ago only because it works!Come on nokia help us out as am tied into a 18 months contract with a phone that is useless even though all the other features are good. I believe there should be a recall on this phone as I have compared signal strengths with other nokias and makes and they are far better.

I updated my phone to version 6.20 from an older version that was 5.xx . after the update my 6600 fold freezes when i press number 6 or rapid press. I did not have this problem before the update i can see that its an old problem of the device hope nokia will fix this problem.

I have a Nokia 6600 Slide with the latest software (V6.55). I was successfully using Nokia Maps GPS navigation having purchased a license key for UK/Ireland in January 2011. I have an external bluetooth GPS device. Howver, the Maps license key has now expired (as expected, it was a 1-year licence). Without a license I cannot use the voice-guided navigation function.When I go throoug the phone menus to purchase a 1-year license again, I get to the menu that asks which payment method I wan to use (I select Visa). At this point the screen just refreshes, with no message or error code. I am not asked for payment card details. I cannot get past the "payment method" menu.
This process worked just fine for me in Jan 2011 when I first purchased a license, and other web browing functions using the built-in web browser are just fine. I have tried refreshing the Nokia software (It was already at V6.55, which is the latest level).
Over the past week and a half, I have been having problems sending MMS
I was trying to send pictures (size around 120kb) over the ATT network
Before I have had zero issues, it always goes through immediately
Well I started to have problems, I checked and all my MMS settings were normal.
I have the unlimited text plan, but no data but again no problems before
Once time the phone did say data packet unavailable or cannot download data packet.
I bought Nokia E63 on April 2009 from australia and now a days i m stay in my own country. my phone can't send SMS. it says "unable to send messages." and the details says "MEMORY FULL CLOSE SOME APPLICATIONS"...
View 5 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to send any messages w/ a picture. Its really quite annoying. I've never had this problemwith my N97 or E90. But when I got my E72 I can't receive or send any. and when I try to send one it just stays in the outbox saying "resend at this this time" but when it gets there it just prolongs the time even more.

I have just recieved my new E63 today, and it is all going swimingly- the phone can make phone calls, use the internet, recieve texts, however I CANNOT SEND TEXTS.I have endlessly tried to configure the texts, changing the message centre etc. i've run through the troubleshoot guide on the 3 website nothing has worked and i got tired of waiting 20 mins for customer service.
