Nokia :: 5030 All Numbers Are Witheld
Mar 27, 2010I got a Nokia 5030 yesterday but I have quite an annoying problem. All numbers that call me come up as Witheld! Does anyone know why this is and what I can do to solve the problem?

Nokia :: 5030 - What Is This Extra Socket?
Feb 19, 2010Just bought a Nokia 5030. It's new and there isn't much information about it on the internet. I have seen a socket situated between the headset connector and the charger connector. It looks like a tiny small USB or something alike. I'd like to connect to it and see what comes out, and if I can input anything (music etc. I know there's only 8MB but still). Where can I get the cable? I'm curious about electronic in general, and would be happy to dig into the device.

Some people numbers saved in adress book when calling to me I see, their name, but most of saved names and numbers in adress/sim book, don't show name, only number, like they aren't saved in phone book. The same thing is with sms receiving. Phone is 10 days old.

Feb 26, 2010I am very interested about the Nokia E52. I think it is a good phone. I have a question though, is it true that you can't 'use detail' on an incoming SMS? ( i.e. someone sent you an SMS with a telephone number, you have to WRITE IT DOWN for you to save it. call it, etc..., you can't just 'use number'...), I am very bothered by this because this feature is so basic that it is included almost on all mobile phones... and SHOULD be included as well. By the way, I've read about this article on a e52 review from a website. Please tell me if the review is true or false.

Mar 20, 2010I have many contacts which have numbers saved under the same label.For example a contact like this:
First name: AMobile: 11Mobile: 22Telephone: 33Telephone: 44
When I open Ovi Suite / Contacts / Contacts in E51 and open the abovementioned contact "A" it shows:
AMobile: 11Telephone: 44Mobile (other): 22As you see it deleted one of "Telephone" labeled numbers. It also happened when I used PC suite.
It is really annoying as if I save/sync the contact using Ovi, it causes loss of contacts data.BTW there is no problem using Backup/Restore function of Ovi/PC suite, nor "Copy to memory card" function of the phone itself.

Nokia E51 v300.34.56
Windows 7
tested another one with 6 different numbers under the same "Mobile" label the result in Ovi is:

Mar 1, 2010New 5230 on vodafone contract (upgrade). All the contacts names and phone numbers are accurately displayed when viewing, but only the numbers appear when a text or call comes in. How do i get the contact's name to appear as before? There are no duplicates or international pre-fixes to confuse things for the phone, and everything was fine on the old phone.

Nokia Nseries :: 808 Not Resolving Incoming Numbers?
Jun 28, 2012All of the phone numbers in my Contacts database are stored using the international format with the country code included. For example:
0410 XXX XXX
is stored as:+61410 XXX XXX
So the country code has been included (+61 for Australia in this example) and the leading zero has been dropped. Pretty standard stuff and it ensures that you can make the call no matter where you are in the world.
This is how all of my numbers were stored in my N8 and all Nokia phones before it.
When I transfered all of my contacts to my new 808 it can't deal with it. When I get a phone call, the 0410 XXX XXX number comes up on the screen without a name or a photo. The 808 doesn't recognise that it's the same as the +61410 XXX XXX number in my Contacts database.
Are others having this issue? Is this a bug with the 808? It's a bit of a disaster for me because I no longer know who is calling because I don't recognise the numbers.My friend got an 808 at the same time as me and his has exactly the same problem too.
Nokia Lumia :: 610 Randomly Dials Numbers?
Nov 9, 2012I have a Nokia Lumia 610 and for some odd reason last two weeks it randomly dials numbers either mobile or landline. When its sat on the kitchen table, it just dials it, more oddly it switches to loud speaker and it does it about 10-15 times same number one after anotheritched it off and back on and for a few days its ok and then it does it again. Anyone ever come across this and is it fixable

Mar 27, 2010I have the E90 communicator hooked up to pc with pc suite and ovi.I have almost 2000 contacts and most of them have multiple numbers saved under the same name.These numbers have often the same type (mobile or telephone for example)When exporting these contacts using PC suite i'm loosing some numbers from contacts which have several numbers with the same type.
Further more i've the problem that the exported vCard can only store 6 number (3 private mobile, telephone and fax and 3 business) in its property, while i'm having contacts with over 10 numbers.Is it possible to export a contact having 10 numbers without losing one of them?

May 16, 2010I have put my sim card containing all my contact numbers into my 6700 slide. However, I can't seem to access the numbers now. When I go to Menu > contacts, under the 'Phone' contacts I have nothing, and yet when I change to 'Contacts' it changes to the 'Ovi' menu. I can't remember how to get back to the menu to chose Sim contacts. For some reason, I can't seem to copy over my SIM contact to my phone, I've been through every menu and there's nothing. I've even taken the sim out and put it back into my old phone and all the numbers are showing but I just can't seem to access them at all when putting back into my new nokia. I"m worried that I'm going to have to write them all out and recreate them all manually, surely there's a better way than this?

Using number pads with letters, this is no problem but the default N97 mini dialer has only numbers and no letters. I used to own a E63. Same problem with keypad but there was a work-round. I used this work round using the N97 mini physical keypad but no dice.

Mar 19, 2012I had received a letter of advice (you can call it a letter of warning) from the local authority on nuisance calls made to the local emergency hotline. There had been a few instances of this issue happening, and I would like to find out if there is a shortcut key. I had the latest happened to me again yesterday and I think the local authority will be writing to me again very soon. I would like to do either of the following:- 1. Change the local emergency number to a invalid entry so that it shows up an error whenever I try to call. 2. Disable the emergency call totally 3. [last resort] get local mobile service provider to bar all emergency calls made from my phone. Am not sure if the local mobile service provider will bar emergency calls...
