Also, I cannot find anywhere what the symbols represent on the lowest right button. I figured out by chance that I can enable silent or normal mode but have no idea what else might be possible. I also don't know what the symbols on th 0 number key represent. Since I don't use internet access and don't text perhaps I don't need to know, just curious.

Jul 13, 2011I have the following problem with my Nokia 3710 fold. What I press the headset button short the phone tries to make voice dialing, i.e. it listens to some word said and tries to make a fit from my phonebook and then dial it. The problem is that this button is pressed accidentally and then the phone hears some noises and find a "match" - which is basically picking one of the names stored in random - the result is a phone call to some people that I saved their number years ago leading to embarrassing results. I tried to disable this feature. I couldn't. Any feature of the phone can be turned off except this one!! I don't want voice dialing enabled what can I do!

Feb 20, 2011I've just purchased (February 2011) a Nokia 3710 from Koodo Mobile in Canada. I've found that the battery on it is absolutely horrible, and needing to recharge it after 3 days, ten texts and an hour of talk time. This is in an area with a full-bar 3G signal, and the phone set to UMTS-only instead of dual-mode. Even my four-year-old LG can handle that and not need a recharge.Anyways, the internet seems to be abuzz with talk of a firmware update that addressed performance issues with the phone, It appears that my software (version 4.35) is the latest software out there (and that is what the'update sw' feature of my phone tells me), but I've also heard that there is a firmware 9.73 that came out on February 8, 2011.Does my phone need a firmware update? I like the phone, but I will be returning it in a few days if this battery issue cannot be addressed.

Jan 25, 2010When the N900 came out in the UK I bought it on the same day! But I'm disappointed with the fact that the N900 is still not compatible with Ovi player. This is even so after the recent firmware update! Overall it seems that the N900 was rushed into the market. Sadly, some of the reviews claiming that the N900 would be known as the "iphone eater" was very wrong! I did manage to copy music to my N900 in mass storage mode but it wasn't a very smooth experience.Come on Nokia get your act together and give the music lovers out there something to cheer about by getting the basic's right! BTW if I have the fact's wrong re compatibility with Nokia Ovi Player please let me know?

Feb 7, 2010I just bought a Volvo V50 with an installed car kit by the previous owner (presumable around mid 2007 if relevant). As my Nokia 6210 just broke, I'd like to replace it by a phone that best fits with the carkit. THe kit seems to be the CK-7W as is have the remote button as with the CK-7W. The phone holder is the CR56. What confuses me is that there is a fixed (standard) cable connection at the bottom of the phoneholder and also a separate micro USB now hanging just out of the dashboard, near the left side of the phone holder. As if it should be connected to the Nokia phone on the left side. With the kit there is a wired microphone and an external loudspeaker.
