I received a SMS that missed a second part. That second part never appear but in my 3710 fold the incoming SMS icon kept appearing, although no new message had arrived. I've already turned off and on, removed sim and microsd, without result.
View 2 RepliesI've just purchased (February 2011) a Nokia 3710 from Koodo Mobile in Canada. I've found that the battery on it is absolutely horrible, and needing to recharge it after 3 days, ten texts and an hour of talk time. This is in an area with a full-bar 3G signal, and the phone set to UMTS-only instead of dual-mode. Even my four-year-old LG can handle that and not need a recharge.Anyways, the internet seems to be abuzz with talk of a firmware update that addressed performance issues with the phone, It appears that my software (version 4.35) is the latest software out there (and that is what the'update sw' feature of my phone tells me), but I've also heard that there is a firmware 9.73 that came out on February 8, 2011.Does my phone need a firmware update? I like the phone, but I will be returning it in a few days if this battery issue cannot be addressed.

What I press the headset button short the phone tries to make voice dialing, i.e. it listens to some word said and tries to make a fit from my phonebook and then dial it. The problem is that this button is pressed accidentally and then the phone hears some noises and find a "match" - which is basically picking one of the names stored in random - the result is a phone call to some people that I saved their number years ago leading to embarrassing results. I tried to disable this feature. I couldn't. Any feature of the phone can be turned off except this one!! I don't want voice dialing enabled what can I do!

I have goggled this fault and although it appears to be a common fault I couldn't find any solutions for it, just a lot of blah blah blah from people that obviously had no idea what they where talking about - full of there own importance I think. So here I am at Nokia expecting to get the exact solution.

However, there's a symbol on it that I don't remember from when I used it before and I can't find any information about it in the userguide or anywhere on the web. It looks like a padlock icon, black with a white T shape in it and it appears below the battery indicator. It's there all the time and never goes away.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased Asha 302 about 20 days ago and while going through the features when I recorded some voice using voice recorded output was distorted, I contacted Nokia support through email and was told to restore factory setting. After doing the same I recorded and played AMR file it was fine but as soon as I received a call and then I checked the same recorded AMR file it was againt distorted. I reported same to Nokia support and was told to contact Nokia Care Centre which I visited yesterday there NCC people re-installed the software/OS but the problem persists. I was told that phone has to be sent back to company. I am having another Nokia C2 phone which is fine and no such problem there in that model.
