I have problems when watching video with sound out via bluetooth. Sometimes the playback begins to stutter severely and becomes unwatchable. The problem was present already with Honeycomb. I hoped it would go away with ICS, but it didn't. I am wondering if others have the same problem and if they have found a solution? The problem is intermittent. If I restart my Xoom playback is usually fine. Sometimes it is possible to watch a full movie, but usually the playback fails after a while. Or just as I start playback. I have tried several different apps for video playback and also tried with wifi shut off. No difference. I have used both a Jawbone Jambox and a Belkin bluetooth receiver. No difference. Once the problem appears, only a reboot will fix it. However playback over wire or internal speakers is still fine. Even after a reboot the problem will return after a while. Typically as playback is started. I have the Jawbone less than two meters away. Using a wired connection to the jawbone or headphones is an easy workaround, and what I normally do, but it would be nice if BT worked with video playback.
My upgrade to ICS a couple days ago went fine and I had no problems until last night when I rebooted my phone - just cuz - and then found that the only way BT now plays without stuttering is if I turn off wifi. No problem with 3G/4G, just wifi. I've removed and added both BT devices, rebooted the device again, and it makes no difference. Also stopped Bluetooth Share, cleared data - no change. Using the LG-HBS700 and the Motorola Elite Sliver. I can make a smart action to disable wifi when I turn on BT but that's got obvious drawbacks. I'm contemplating a factory reset but hate to do that if I don't need to.
My Photon must be having Apple envy and has decided to refuse to cooperate. Unlocking can still be an occasional two minute ordeal with many whispered metaphorical condemnations of it's heritage and habits. However, my main complaint is the bluetooth audio stutter I hear on a stereo headset.
I have no problems pairing and listinening to audio on a set of bluetooth stereo headphones via my MacBookPro (or my friend's iPhone), but the Photon makes me want to kick something very hard and repeatedly. The audio stutter-pop every 1/3 second (approximatly) is beyond frustrating.
The only thing that reduces the stuttering is if I hold the phone within 3 inches (yes, 3"!) of the headset. Oddly, my mono canal-style headset has a range of about 36 feet. Both of the headsets are less than two months old, and I know that the stereo headset is up to version 3.x of the bluetooth spec. (the Photon is using bluetooth v. 2.1).
I was filming my family and the video stuttered and stopped altogether after a few seconds. Then the app went to a green screen (totally green) and I couldn't fix it. I had to reboot the phone to get it to work normally. Is that normal?
My Xperia Z3 has been absolutely perfect, however it recently has started having issues with video playback stuttering every few minutes. It's like just a small delay that's happening every time I watch a video. It happens regardless of the app, whether YouTube, video unlimited, Google play movies etc. It is not buffering and I've tried different networks and I'm confident that it is not a connection issue. I did a full factory reset and have around 25 go of internal storage free and still experiencing it.
Issues with 4k video stuttering during recording and after when you go to watch the video on my Lumia 950 XL. Fairly certain it's all updated and I can't get the .29 update yet cause it was removed, just curious. I'm actually saving them to my device while the rest of my stuff gets saved to my micro SD because I'm waiting on the high read/write card to come in.
i believe i found a bug with 3.1. videocamera pauses while video recording when a live paper is being used when wallpaper is just a picture than it works properly.
Can´t listen anymore to music without audio stuttering, even calls sounds like hearing A2D2 on the other side. My placement of the phone has been the same everyday since last year, no problem at all.
My tryouts has been without improvements, Reset the SBH-80, both single pairing and multi has been tested. Uninstall latest install apps. Clearing Bluetooth Sharing under Apps.
[n79, latest firmware, 16 or 32 GB memory card]When I capture video to the memory card, I periodically get stutters or lags, typically during which the video capture appears to freeze. The sound recording sometimes continues in time, sometimes also breaks for a fraction of second. I have already backed up the card to a PC and reformatted the card in the phone (assuming that the phone would set up the card in a manner best suited to the device). The problem persists, although slightly less often.
Would it have been better to reformat the cards on a PC? If so, better to use a 16kb or 32kb "allocation unit size"? Neither of my cards as more than 1/3 full, so there is plenty of space. I am recording video at the phone's best quality, which is 640x480, 30 fps, and a typical bitrate seems to be about .5 MB per second. I checked out both cards using the utilty "Flash Memory Toolkit", and the minimum data file write rates seem to be about 6-10 MB per second (often 10 MB), so I don't think that the bottleneck is the card itself. Perhaps the drivers used to write to the card memory on the phone are not as efficient as they should be. Or maybe for some reason I have to stick with an 8 GB card or smaller?
Not being able to play videos on Facebook when not connected to wifi? I can play videos on youtube whether I'm connected or disconnected from wifi but not on Facebook. Can only play videos on Facebook when I'm connected to wifi.
I think one of those recent updates fixed the stuttering in video recording in loud environments. Last night I took the Icon to a RUSH concert and was very pleased with the results.
The hall was deafening, but the audio is surprisingly clear and not distorted as I feared it would be.
I used the 1440p/30fps setting. The video quality is a bit lower than 4k, but i think this setting is the best compromise. It's the highest setting that enables you to use the 4k tools for choosing a frame / action shot / etc. but also zooms in as far as the 720 or 1080 setting. I can't get the 2160 to zoom in far at all.
Here's my series of recordings (about 5G in total) from last night:
My video app in my XOOM which pretty much is linked to your Google account to rent movies etc. keeps crashing on start. I have tried to uninstall the update that came through and the system automatically restored the factory version, but still it keeps crashing. I tried clearing the apps cache... no change. Is this a app bug?
I haven't been successful trying to make a video call XOOM to PC, everytime I try, the Screen goes black (like is going to do video) but then it gives me an error and close, I have been successful with my mobile phone (S2).Do the user on the PC needs to have camera? Can I show my cam only?
My Xoom will not even allow me to transfer the video to it saying the format is not supported. Why can I play these on droid 4 and not on Xoom. Is there a problem with the software in the Xoom?
I copied pictures for each of the movies I have on my XOOM wifi SD card.Thinking if I named them the same as the movies, the XOOM would match the names and pick up the thumbnails, but no.Is there a way to get the movie posters (thumbnails) to show up in the movie gallery on the videos?
Verizon Xoom 3.2 Watching a movie that I transferred to the Xoom from my computer like I've been doing for months now (even after the 3.2 update). Paused it to take care of some things. Come back in about 20 minutes and the Xoom is locked up. Had to do a volume up/power button to restart it.After restarting, movies won't play. Neither will video taken with the Xoom. When I go into Gallery and touch a video, the screen sort of dims but nothing else happens. Normally when I select a movie, I get a choice of stock player or RockPlayer. If I open RockPlayer from my Apps, I can play the movie.I did an additional power down/power up but still video will not work.
Why is espn.com blocking video on my Xoom? Works on my Droid X and my Droid 3. I have the Verizon version, and another person on another forum who has the Wi-fi only version is reporting the same thing. Please help.
is anyone else finding that their screen freezes if they are tring to watch any soet of video streaming? If i try and watch something lke bbc iplayer, on a good day i can just about get it to work at the small screen size that loads with the window, but if i try and go full screen the image frreezes but the audio track contiunes. It's the same if i try and export via hdmi. I have pretty solid wifi speed and signal strength is minimum of "fair " to "good/excellent " And it's not just iplayer but that is most common as major reason for purchase was to act as a wireless hub stream to my tv.
I haven't seen this mentioned on this forum, so I'd thought I would share. I have seen Splashtop in different Xoom app sections, always listed as a remote desktop software. As such, I didn't pay it much mind. However, I found someone in another forum talk about how good it is for streaming video over your local wifi network, so I thought I'd give it a shot. The results are actually quite fantastic, especially for a 5 dollar app. It does quite a good job as a remote desktop app, but it also transcodes video and audio to stream in very good quality to the Xoom. I have streamed 1080p movies, Netflix, etc, all to my Xoom with no delay or noticable drop in quality or video/audio sync. Note: this only works on your local WiFi network, but it's ideal for watching videos from your PC in bed.
i have a xoom that i got today and am totally in love with it.... or was until an hour ago! i've tried to watch embedded videos (ranging from 8-35 minutes long) from multiple sources (my schools website, Internet.com, etc) and every single time it starts playing great and i can see the buffering indicator moving along until it gets about 1/3 complete and then it stops. suddenly the buffer indicator jumps to the end and the video plays until it reached the point in which it stopped earlier. at that point the video ends and gives me the "replay" option. i've factory data reset the device already, tried watching long videos through the Internet app (that works perfectly), and uninstalled and reinstalled adobe flash 10.3.
I received my 3.1 update this morning and now I can no longer play the three video files that reside on my Xoom. I created them with Freemake Video Converter. I can, however, play a video that I recorded with the built-in application (recorded after the update).
I am unable to download a rented video. I'm being told that I cant because it thinks I am rooted. I am not and have never been rooted, and Didnt have this problem before the latest soak test.
i didn't quite get it, but when i start a clip playbakc in Internet app or browser the playback stops when switching to another app.i need it to continue...use case - i want to listen to the music and look at the cords at the same time.
I have been trying out the new Bose Soundlink with my Droid X and they are really cool. Problem is I bought them to go with my Xoom and when I try to connect to Bose SoundLink it fails to find it. Normally I would blame the speaker but since it worked with my Droid X I tend to think that it may be the operating system HoneyComb.
