View 7 RepliesI was filming my family and the video stuttered and stopped altogether after a few seconds. Then the app went to a green screen (totally green) and I couldn't fix it. I had to reboot the phone to get it to work normally. Is that normal?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I'm on a stock 5.1.1 and updated to the latest Google Photos version, which I think screws with my devices HW acceleration. Basically , after updating I can't watch any HD videos without the frames stuttering, the screen sometimes blacks out in middle of viewing videos as well. Searching around I found that more people experience this, but it isn't that widespread. The problem goes away if I revert the update.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't remember this being an issue with any phone prior. I've had a video on here since Friday. Just a 30 second clip of my daughter riding a carousel at the mall. I can't get it to backup. I've set it to mobile and wifi, I've set it to wifi only, I've tried forcing the backup. Nothing. The pics have backed up just fine. But not this one video.
View 11 Replies View RelatedMy Xperia Z3 has been absolutely perfect, however it recently has started having issues with video playback stuttering every few minutes. It's like just a small delay that's happening every time I watch a video. It happens regardless of the app, whether YouTube, video unlimited, Google play movies etc. It is not buffering and I've tried different networks and I'm confident that it is not a connection issue. I did a full factory reset and have around 25 go of internal storage free and still experiencing it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have problems when watching video with sound out via bluetooth. Sometimes the playback begins to stutter severely and becomes unwatchable. The problem was present already with Honeycomb. I hoped it would go away with ICS, but it didn't. I am wondering if others have the same problem and if they have found a solution? The problem is intermittent. If I restart my Xoom playback is usually fine. Sometimes it is possible to watch a full movie, but usually the playback fails after a while. Or just as I start playback. I have tried several different apps for video playback and also tried with wifi shut off. No difference. I have used both a Jawbone Jambox and a Belkin bluetooth receiver. No difference. Once the problem appears, only a reboot will fix it. However playback over wire or internal speakers is still fine. Even after a reboot the problem will return after a while. Typically as playback is started. I have the Jawbone less than two meters away. Using a wired connection to the jawbone or headphones is an easy workaround, and what I normally do, but it would be nice if BT worked with video playback.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIssues with 4k video stuttering during recording and after when you go to watch the video on my Lumia 950 XL. Fairly certain it's all updated and I can't get the .29 update yet cause it was removed, just curious. I'm actually saving them to my device while the rest of my stuff gets saved to my micro SD because I'm waiting on the high read/write card to come in.
View 3 Replies View Related[n79, latest firmware, 16 or 32 GB memory card]When I capture video to the memory card, I periodically get stutters or lags, typically during which the video capture appears to freeze. The sound recording sometimes continues in time, sometimes also breaks for a fraction of second. I have already backed up the card to a PC and reformatted the card in the phone (assuming that the phone would set up the card in a manner best suited to the device). The problem persists, although slightly less often.
Would it have been better to reformat the cards on a PC? If so, better to use a 16kb or 32kb "allocation unit size"? Neither of my cards as more than 1/3 full, so there is plenty of space. I am recording video at the phone's best quality, which is 640x480, 30 fps, and a typical bitrate seems to be about .5 MB per second. I checked out both cards using the utilty "Flash Memory Toolkit", and the minimum data file write rates seem to be about 6-10 MB per second (often 10 MB), so I don't think that the bottleneck is the card itself. Perhaps the drivers used to write to the card memory on the phone are not as efficient as they should be. Or maybe for some reason I have to stick with an 8 GB card or smaller?
Not being able to play videos on Facebook when not connected to wifi? I can play videos on youtube whether I'm connected or disconnected from wifi but not on Facebook. Can only play videos on Facebook when I'm connected to wifi.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI think one of those recent updates fixed the stuttering in video recording in loud environments. Last night I took the Icon to a RUSH concert and was very pleased with the results.
The hall was deafening, but the audio is surprisingly clear and not distorted as I feared it would be.
I used the 1440p/30fps setting. The video quality is a bit lower than 4k, but i think this setting is the best compromise. It's the highest setting that enables you to use the 4k tools for choosing a frame / action shot / etc. but also zooms in as far as the 720 or 1080 setting. I can't get the 2160 to zoom in far at all.
Here's my series of recordings (about 5G in total) from last night:

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 6 running 6.0.1 now, and am subscribed to Google Music, Red, and all that comes with it.
My issue is, after the App & OS updated, my saved offline videos have just recently gone into playing the next video automatically. So for instance, if I want to fall asleep at night watching a single 45 minute video, the whole darn list will play, and sooner or later, it gets to that head banging music video, and I wake up.
Have a problem with audio sounds no working? I.e videos, games.... How to fix this. It's happened to me before. I've restarted the phone multiple times, and still not sound.
View 2 Replies View RelatedGot the new Nexus 5 and found that flash video playing is totally incompatible with the Android 4.4 Kitkat, no t in Dolphin, not in Firefox and other browsers. This is too bad and I can't imagine it just happened.
I digged into the code since then and found that some critical APIs have been removed from Android 4.4 that flash uses.

After several days of coding, I finally found a way out with a hacked flash player. Being so excited and i can't wait wo share it. Here is the guide about how to install the hacked one and how to play flash content in the sites in Dolphin Browser.
1) Download Dolphin Browser
Surprised, Dolphin just push a 10.2.0 update version to me and I found Dolphin Jetpack was built-in. This means you don't have to install 2 separate APK now.
Here is the Download Link: [URL] .....
Warning: [/B]You must have Dolphin Jetpack on in the settings to enjoy it. As far as I have noticed, Dolphin Jetpack better solves the compatibility with flash player, such as crash issue & freeze issue in full screen.
2) Download the hacked flash player HERE
Warning: Make sure that you have uninstall the flash player installed in your device and then install the hacked one for compatibility reason.
If your devices refused to install apk outside Google Play, you may set in your device (Settings> Securities> Unknown resources) to allow installation of apps from unknown sources.
3) Make sure that the flash setting in Dolphin Browser (Click Menu>Settings>Web Content>Flash Player) is on.
Flash Player is not officially supported and therefore the speed of loading of flash video may be slow. However, I have tried many sites such as YouTube and Hulu. They all work properly with satisfactory results.
I have installed super beam to my nexus 5 mobile . Earlier I was using superbeam to send video files but now am facing an issue sending video files since super beam is crashing after clicked send button.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my G3 I had the option of trimming videos which I had recorded. I can't remember if I ever had this functionality on my N5 (kitkat), but on my new N6 there's no such option. The edit option in the Photos app doesn't do anything with videos. Is this the same for everyone, and if so, what are you using to trim video footage.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm not able to free up photo/video storage on my device - Nexus 5 running 5.1. I've deleted all photos and videos off the device itself. When I check "storage", I still see 1.7GB of storage being used under "Pictures, videos". When I click on "Pictures, Videos" in storage, there are no files. When I look in the "photos" app, again there are no files under "on device". The trash has been emptied. I rebooted the phone. No luck. Auto back-up is on, but as I stated, none of the photos are stored locally at this point. How do I free up this mysterious use of space?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI shattered the screen on my Nexus 6 the other day and the screen is totally black, just a few bleeps of light if I connect/disconnect to computer, that's it. The problem is, when I connect to my computer via USB, the Nexus 6 shows up in my drives, but there's no files showing at all so I can't download all the pics/videos off of it, it only charges. I assume this is because it's not in MTP mode? But I can't switch it on since I can't even see the screen. The phone itself works apart from the screen being dead, rings for calls, texts, charges and even bluetooth connects to my car when I start it up. I just can't view the files on my computer to download them .
how to get all these pics/videos off of this thing? I have my daughters last 6 months of her life on this phone, including her recent birthday part etc...etc.. and I really need to get all that downloaded somehow before I even think of sending it in for a replacement. One thing that came to mind is mirroring it to another device which I read online, possibly with Chromecast or via another type of cable but I'm not sure if I could actually operate the phone in order to put it into MTP mode that way though.
Ive bad the Nexus 6 since the day it came out but just now got into the 4k video recording and i shot a few videos in 4k and when playing them back, the videos are choppy, laggy and auto focuses many times (does not look as good as 4k should). It's not terrible but definitely noticeable. I have seen other videos shot with this phone on youtube and they look perfect and professional. Much more clear and colorful and flowing smoothly. get mine looking like 4k should such as certain apps or settings? I'm having a kid soon and want to use my phone for recording instead of a camcorder.

Nexus 6 on Android 6
I switched from Samsung. There is a function with Samsung customized version of Android that when I play video full screen and hit on/off button, the screen is locked but video keeps playing. That is a really useful function.
Any 3rd party app that can do the same?
My Nexus 5, with default Google Keyboard, has stopped showing word suggestions. It used to work but doesn't anymore. The keyboard is not set to the same language as the system language.
View 7 Replies View RelatedFor months I was happily using my Nexus 5 with a SoundID 300 earpiece. Pushing the call button went into a dialer dialog with voice prompts and responses. Suddenly a few weeks ago it started going to the Google Now (aka Google Search?) function (the one you get when you say "OK Google"). Although it will generally recognize the same voice commands as the dialer dialog, there are no voice prompts or responses, so if Google Now has crashed or decides to prompt on screen for "OK or Cancel", I have to get the phone out and look at it to see why it didn't dial.
View 7 Replies View RelatedYesterday I did an update to several programs including Google and noticed major battery drain. I was not sure which program did it but checked Battery in Settings and saw it was the screen causing the drain. Apparently when the Google program updated, it changed the setting for automatic brightness adjustment to ON. I turned it off and the battery is fine. I keep brightness set to about one quarter to one third brightness. I think the battery life is great and I can easily get thru the day.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm sure many of you have heard that when you enter an incorrect pattern/PIN/password, eventually the phone asks for Google account credentials to unlock it. My Nexus 5 on 5.1.0 does not do this. Does yours? If my lock screen is set to PIN, I can enter as many incorrect attempts as I want, it never asks and never stops me. If I have a pattern set it will let me enter 10 incorrect attempts after which it simply stops me from trying for 30s, but it never asks for Google account credentials.
