Xperia Z3 :: Facebook Video Playback Stuttering When Not Connected To WiFi?
Mar 5, 2015
Not being able to play videos on Facebook when not connected to wifi? I can play videos on youtube whether I'm connected or disconnected from wifi but not on Facebook. Can only play videos on Facebook when I'm connected to wifi.
My Xperia Z3 has been absolutely perfect, however it recently has started having issues with video playback stuttering every few minutes. It's like just a small delay that's happening every time I watch a video. It happens regardless of the app, whether YouTube, video unlimited, Google play movies etc. It is not buffering and I've tried different networks and I'm confident that it is not a connection issue. I did a full factory reset and have around 25 go of internal storage free and still experiencing it.
I been using my Moto x Pure for over a month now, but recently I've become painfully aware to a subtle stuttering or popping that occurs frequently during playback. It almost sounds like a glitch in the file, but I know this not to be true. This is during local playback from both an SD and internal memory, via a wired headset.
Some things I've tried: -Various players (poweramp, doubletwist, etc) -increasing SD cache -monitoring ram -cleaning audio jack -different headphones -various audio formats -messing with poweramp settings -factory reset
I was filming my family and the video stuttered and stopped altogether after a few seconds. Then the app went to a green screen (totally green) and I couldn't fix it. I had to reboot the phone to get it to work normally. Is that normal?
I recently bought an xperia ray and was taking videos holding the phone upright (portrait mode) but when i play it back from the gallery i have to turn the phone upside down but straight up to watch it in full screen! is that normal?should i download a video player app to rewatch my recorded videos? I didnt change any of the settings before recording so i dont understand how this happened! and is video support only for landscape mode. and i checked and my latest update 4.0.2.A.0.42 but before I update I wanted to know if this is the one that will get rid of the cool retro shut down animation (i'm on 2.3.3 still) ? if yes, is it worth the update? I read the update also adds the swipe keyboard and panorama settings and other camera settings. but I also have touchpal keyboard for swipe. so is it worth updating? and I'm in australia but imported my xperia ray from the uk so will that affect my update?
i got the 16gb memorycard so i thougt i'd convert some videoclips made with a proper videocamera that uses .mov format also got some snagged Internet clips in realtimeformat that id like to convert.i'm using avs videoconverter to do this.looking at a vidclip made with the phone i see it's saved in .3gp format. i load the .mov file and then save it to .3gp but it will not play on the phone i've tried different settings on the screensize, audio quality and managed to get some bad quality audio to play but thats about as far as i get.theres alot of settings to change on both videocodecs and audiocodecs.trial and error method would just take to long.so what settings exactly should i use to get a converted file to behave on the x10 mini pro?
videcodec? (intel itu h.263 or mpeg4?) framesize? framrate? bitrate?
[code]....
just to get the settings of a file recorded on a x10mini?
My device is playing videos on YouTube, Google, Facebook, etc in 720p and not 1080. The quality is far inferior in this regard to my four year old HTC inspire. How can I change this to meet the requirements of the phone, with or without replacement.
I've just got a new Z3 with Lollipop pre-installed and found that YouTube playback via the default app is choppy/stuttery. I tried factory resets/ updating the YouTube app/clearing cache/turning the x-reality engine on/off, but of no avail.
The videos play perfectly fine on my much older Xperia s, so pretty sure this not on the YouTube end.
when ever i try to play 720p hd videos on my xperia active running ics 4.04 i get the error message "sorry, this video cannot be played"..and after this i wont be able to play any videos till i turn my phone on again..and then for few minutes it plays smoothly and again it stops with that message..but in gb i never faced any such issues with the same videos i think it may be due to phones gallery app..so i opened those videos in MX player but there the video plays in S/W decoder mode and i cant change it to H/W decoder mode because H/W decoder mode isnt available u can see that in the below screen shots.but after restarting everything will be ok ..i formated my memory card but still the same ..only modification i made was that i rooted my phone.screen shot when i opened 720p video in MX player(before restarting)screen shot when i opened the same video in MX player(after restarting)Error message while opening in default gallery app?

I have problems when watching video with sound out via bluetooth. Sometimes the playback begins to stutter severely and becomes unwatchable. The problem was present already with Honeycomb. I hoped it would go away with ICS, but it didn't. I am wondering if others have the same problem and if they have found a solution? The problem is intermittent. If I restart my Xoom playback is usually fine. Sometimes it is possible to watch a full movie, but usually the playback fails after a while. Or just as I start playback. I have tried several different apps for video playback and also tried with wifi shut off. No difference. I have used both a Jawbone Jambox and a Belkin bluetooth receiver. No difference. Once the problem appears, only a reboot will fix it. However playback over wire or internal speakers is still fine. Even after a reboot the problem will return after a while. Typically as playback is started. I have the Jawbone less than two meters away. Using a wired connection to the jawbone or headphones is an easy workaround, and what I normally do, but it would be nice if BT worked with video playback.
Issues with 4k video stuttering during recording and after when you go to watch the video on my Lumia 950 XL. Fairly certain it's all updated and I can't get the .29 update yet cause it was removed, just curious. I'm actually saving them to my device while the rest of my stuff gets saved to my micro SD because I'm waiting on the high read/write card to come in.
[n79, latest firmware, 16 or 32 GB memory card]When I capture video to the memory card, I periodically get stutters or lags, typically during which the video capture appears to freeze. The sound recording sometimes continues in time, sometimes also breaks for a fraction of second. I have already backed up the card to a PC and reformatted the card in the phone (assuming that the phone would set up the card in a manner best suited to the device). The problem persists, although slightly less often.
Would it have been better to reformat the cards on a PC? If so, better to use a 16kb or 32kb "allocation unit size"? Neither of my cards as more than 1/3 full, so there is plenty of space. I am recording video at the phone's best quality, which is 640x480, 30 fps, and a typical bitrate seems to be about .5 MB per second. I checked out both cards using the utilty "Flash Memory Toolkit", and the minimum data file write rates seem to be about 6-10 MB per second (often 10 MB), so I don't think that the bottleneck is the card itself. Perhaps the drivers used to write to the card memory on the phone are not as efficient as they should be. Or maybe for some reason I have to stick with an 8 GB card or smaller?
I think one of those recent updates fixed the stuttering in video recording in loud environments. Last night I took the Icon to a RUSH concert and was very pleased with the results.
The hall was deafening, but the audio is surprisingly clear and not distorted as I feared it would be.
I used the 1440p/30fps setting. The video quality is a bit lower than 4k, but i think this setting is the best compromise. It's the highest setting that enables you to use the 4k tools for choosing a frame / action shot / etc. but also zooms in as far as the 720 or 1080 setting. I can't get the 2160 to zoom in far at all.
Here's my series of recordings (about 5G in total) from last night:
I am getting no video during Xvid video playback, but the sound plays back fine. This file played fine on my former Curve 8530, but not on my new Bold 9650.Is there something i am missing?
I recorded videos recently (in UHD 4K) and transferred them to my PC. When I attempt to play them back I can hear the audio but I get no video! Do I need a codec for this?
My upgrade to ICS a couple days ago went fine and I had no problems until last night when I rebooted my phone - just cuz - and then found that the only way BT now plays without stuttering is if I turn off wifi. No problem with 3G/4G, just wifi. I've removed and added both BT devices, rebooted the device again, and it makes no difference. Also stopped Bluetooth Share, cleared data - no change. Using the LG-HBS700 and the Motorola Elite Sliver. I can make a smart action to disable wifi when I turn on BT but that's got obvious drawbacks. I'm contemplating a factory reset but hate to do that if I don't need to.
X10pro does not remain connected to WiFi constantly. after some time the WiFi symbol on the top bar goes away. I have to manually open a browser and navigate to a page on internet to re-enable the WiFi connection. It is as if the connection times out. This causes the RoadSync email client to stop checking for emails and also stops the TuneIn radio application from playing the radio station it was playing.
I have a Z2 and recently when at home I am unable to get anything on the Internet while I am connected to my router. If I turn wifi off from the quick settings it is fine.
As far as I am aware I haven't changed anything and it used to be fine. It's a phone or a router issue. I think it could be phone cause the PS4, laptop and my partners phone are still fine.
I am having a strange issue when using both Bluetooth and Wifi simultaneously.
This happens pretty regularly when using the Spotify app whilst having the phone audio connected to a Bluetooth speaker. The pairing process works without issue. However, as soon as I begin searching the app for music, and select a track for playing, the WiFi connection drops. Sometimes It eventually reconnects, other times I have to go back to settings and manually select the network once again.
During the connection drop, I can still see the Wifi network and all my other devices still remain connected. Rebooting the doesnt fix it, nor does disabling/enabling the wifi. Its rendering the phone useless for music streaming!
I recently bought an MHL adapter to connect my Xperia Z3 to my HDTV. Works fine, except one detail: whenever I connect the Phone to the TV, the Xperia drops its Wifi connection.
I noticed this when my mobile data limit was reached after 3 minutes of Amazon Video and my mobile provider slowed down my mobile data speed...
Is this a defect of my Xperia Z3 that I need to have fixed by Sony? Is it a general issue all Xperia Z3 have?
My new mini pro wi-fi will not stay connected. I have made sure the WEP key is correct, and the signal is strong throughout the house. No probs with the 3 laptops we use. Even sitting with the livebox on my lap the phone connects and disconnects a few seconds later. This means I am using the 2+3G connection at home.....using valuable 'Fair Use' megs up.
Recently, we have changed our intertnet providers. Before hand we had AT&T, and when I was connected to wifi via phone it would work perfectly. Now though we have Cox for internet service. My phone is connected to the wifi, but more than half the time does it ever work. In small gaps am I able to connect to the internet with itOther times it's like I might as well not even be on. Any possible reasons?he wifi works fine for other devices in the house. Example as in my laptop. It connects just fine and am always able to access the internet.f my problem is confusing what is happening is that I am connected to the wifi and it shows I am. The wifi status icon is up and shows I have a connection. When I try to access a webpage or app that requires the internet, it will not load at all and sometimes say I do not have any internet access. So while it's "connected" I am unable to access anything and it's as if I'm not even using wifi.
Other details:We have a Motorola Cable Modem: Model SB121A Netgear Dual Broadband Router: Model WNDR3400-100NAS N600And for an extra secruity setting, we have selected the option not to broadcast the wifi so that the only way to connect to it is to know the SSID and connect manually.
