My Z3 seems to have a lot of issues with video playback. I get garbled green artefacts and play often stops with audio carrying on.
I get this in YouTube, Facebook and the Movies app.
I've tried full factory wipes and all the available updates. Issue remains.
Came from LG G4 that didn't have these issues with the same apps.
Sometimes the audio will work fine (notice this more when I'm on WiFi) but sometimes, in all apps (snapchat, facebook, regular gallery view) the video will play but the audio will cut in and out.
Not sure what it is. Phone is rooted (systemless) and is running the EX Kernel. I didn't mess with the audio settings in the EX Manager...
This is a huge issue for me as I spend a lot of time on Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube (I'm a vlogger, etc.).
Frequently when I play videos, regardless of what app it is in, the video will get very pixelated, and turn green, pink or black. That's the best I can describe it. I'm not entirely sure how to post a screenshot....

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhenever I playback videos on my S5, with headphones on, the audio cuts out after a few minutes, but the video continue to play.
Like the volume automatically mutes itself randomly. And I would have to restart whatever media app I'm using and start over from where I left off. This only happens when I use headphones and I have tried several different ones. I usually use the in-ear samsung ones that came with the phone or my sony ones. Both are standard headphones. I don't have any wireless or bluetooth headphones. It never happens on loudspeaker.
It happens with media on my phone, sd card, whether I use WIFI, 4G , 3G or Flight Mode. It also happens when the phone is charging or using the battery.
I have done a soft reset, factory reset, and also removed every 3rd party media player app.
It doesn't happen when I play games or when I listen to music on the Music App.
Phone Model: SM G901F Apps affected: MX Player, VLC Player, Soundcloud, Youtube, Video Player.
This has been annoying me for the past several weeks, I've had a Galaxy Ace, Ace 2 and Mini 2, and never had this problem before. My brother has an S5 Mini, and we have the same 32GB sd model, and he has no problems with his phone. So it's not the memory card. I watch a lot of movies and stream a lot of tv shows, when I'm home and when I commute.
I have a storm 9530. I downloaded a movie in avi format but when I play it, it only plays audio-no picture.

I have a BB 9650 with O/S 5..0.0.975.Main issue is that the voice and video of a video file are not in sync. The video plays slower than the voice. I believe that it is true for all video files. They were all loaded via BB Desktop Manager and all the files have the same extensions (MP4). They play fine on my computer.don't tell me to load O/S 6.0. That OS does has so many bugs that it is useless. I have loaded it twice over the course of 6 or 7 months and both times it simply fails to function properly.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got myself the Bold 9700. Ive managed to load movies into it and they work fine except one minor glitch. Now the pic quality is brilliant and there is audio too but the only problem is that there is a few seconds delay between the audio or the dialogue and the actual scene. The audio is 1 or 2 seconds later than the actual scene.
Also when i first loaded video files into the phone and i played the file for the first time i got an option "optimize screen for playback" Upon selecting this option the video got into full screen mode but now i just do not get this option and the videos r really very small so i'am using a software where i have to increase the resolution that fits into the screen.
My blackberry freezes when I play an audio or video though both continue to play, I can't access any keys either on touchpad and keypad.

It has consistently been from what seems to be a video where the person is showing a DIY for auto repair. When I unlock it i do not find any video apps open. I have not viewed any videos like this but this seemed to start after i was looking at some cars for sale online.

Read somewhere on the internet that you have to delete DATA and clear CACHE on the Camera app, have not recorded any video since then, but will try to see if this works.
I recently bought an xperia ray and was taking videos holding the phone upright (portrait mode) but when i play it back from the gallery i have to turn the phone upside down but straight up to watch it in full screen! is that normal?should i download a video player app to rewatch my recorded videos? When I play movie it gets the green loading alert in corner then starts to play the audio only with no video. I am on .419 shrunk, is it possible it removed something to play video. My Xperia Z3 has been absolutely perfect, however it recently has started having issues with video playback stuttering every few minutes. It's like just a small delay that's happening every time I watch a video. It happens regardless of the app, whether YouTube, video unlimited, Google play movies etc. It is not buffering and I've tried different networks and I'm confident that it is not a connection issue. I did a full factory reset and have around 25 go of internal storage free and still experiencing it.

i have a problem with video playing. i put some video from my pc via nokia pc suite and convert it to my n97.
iit`s playing only few seconds and then the video stops but sound is still playing. i tried put the video without converting in mp4 formate but it`s the same. if i try to play some downloaded video from ovi or some carptured video it plays with no problems. i`ve already tried to reinstall my frimeware but it didn`t solve the problem...video : http://www.Internet.com/watch?v=ebhub4qetys
I cant watch a whole video on Facebook on my Z2, for some reason it throws out an error. Plus within 10min of using the phone it gets really hot.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just got a new Z3 with Lollipop pre-installed and found that YouTube playback via the default app is choppy/stuttery. I tried factory resets/ updating the YouTube app/clearing cache/turning the x-reality engine on/off, but of no avail.
The videos play perfectly fine on my much older Xperia s, so pretty sure this not on the YouTube end.
when ever i try to play 720p hd videos on my xperia active running ics 4.04 i get the error message "sorry,this video cannot be played"..and after this i wont be able to play any videos till i turn my phone on again..and then for few minutes it plays smoothly and again it stops with that message..but in gb i never faced any such issues with the same videos i think it may be due to phones gallery app..so i opened those videos in MX player but there the video plays in S/W decoder mode and i cant change it to H/W decoder mode because H/W decoder mode isnt available u can see that in the below screen shots.but after restarting everything will be ok ..i formated my memory card but still the same ..only modification i made was that i rooted my phone.screen shot when i opened 720p video in MX player(before restarting)screen shot when i opened the same video in MX player(after restarting)Error message while opening in default gallery app?
