This happen in the Chrome browser as well as in the Dolphin HD (latest version). Only one tab is on and the other goes off in the background. It is just a standard female-usb-to-male-micro-usb adaptor.I`d like to be able to defenitely replace my laptop with my xoom for obvious reasons.Since i already own 3 usb hard drives (usb-powered, no power cordf). I have searched the Google Play for an app that would allow the screen and buttons to lock for a toddler and still show what is on the screen, but I have not found one yet. The screen could still be unlocked, but it would be like the lid to a medicine bottle, only a grown-up could unlock it.

Jun 7, 2012I just replaced a glass screen on my father's Motorola Xoom with the 4G LTE upgrade. Total cost was $101 and about two hours of time. The Xoom was dropped on a tile floor and had multiple cracks in the glass, but was still functional. Just want all you fellow Xoom owners to know it can be done yourself if you have at least a bit of skills (and a hair dryer).

I've noticed an issue since I got the tablet a few months ago; every once in a while, when opening a URL from outside the browser, the screen will flicker, like the connection to the LCD has gone bad. It is corrected by tilting the tablet to change the orientation from landscape to portrait, and then everything is fine. The issue only happens when opening the browser from inside another app - by clicking on a link in the gmail app, for instance.

Jun 6, 2011On occasion, when I hold my Xoom so that it is tilted backwards (i.e. I'm lying down and the Xoom is held in front of me slightly tiled back) the screen becomes totally unresponsive to taps. If I tilt the screen forward and retap it seems to work fine or if I press the standby/power button on and off it seems to reset and work fine. This happens about 25% of the time and once it starts it continues until I reboot.

Motorola Xoom :: Update Info On Screen Glare
Jun 13, 2011I have read the discussions on the screen glare on the xoom and do not find the answer to my question. I was told by sales person to install the Zagg Screen protectant. I did so and what a mess, so I took it back to Best Buy and they replaced it and installed it for another $15. I went outside to take some pictures of a quail and her 15 babies and could seen nothing on the screen. Tried different ways. Then I thought about doing work or play with my Xoom outside on the deck and that was a lost cause too.
What can I do to get rid of the glare on the Xoom screen with the Zagg installed? Can I put something over the Zagg? It was not cheap and I paid to have it installed.The person who answered my question I though was just making a joke. I tried full brightness of the screen and my sunglasses. IT WORKED> Kind of dark but good enough to see what I was taking a picture of I need to find the name of the last reply because that was the one with the answer that worked.

May 22, 2011I discovered this evening while wiping the screen with a micro-fiber cloth while there was a scrollable list on the screen that my finger touches were registering right through the cloth!So I played with that a little bit and I thought that was sorta clumsy tryingto keep thecloth wrapped around my finger.I wondered if finger touches would register if I was wearing a finger cot.So I tried one and was stunned when it WORKED!!It worked right through the latex or whatever they are made from.You can get them at the drug store. Just ask for finger cots at the pharmacy. If they don't know what they are, some people call them Mexican condoms. No offense intended for any hispanics on the board.Just roll it on your finger as far as is comfortable. All you need is to cover the tip of your finger.
