View 4 RepliesA question for Motorola Management, why is there no SD card Support? eg. a fully functional SD card as per every other sd card slot in devices. And don't go side-lining this as a duplication, this is a straight question requiring a straight answer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have purchased a Xoom - wifi only model and I would like to know when the device will support SD card?
View 1 Replies View RelatedGot the 3.2 update for my wifi xoom today and it supports the SD card slot! So, the obvious question is which one is recommended? Where can I find the specs for supported SD card speeds? I don't want to shell out the big bucks for the class 10 if the xoom only supports up to class 6 for example.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe Samsung Galaxy 10.1 is supposed to support AVI files. As the hardware seems identical to the XOOMs is this something (software) that will be coming to the XOOM/Honeycomb or is this proprietary to Samsung.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to listen to an Internet radio in one tab and reading newspapers in another tab to no avail. This happen in the Chrome browser as well as in the Dolphin HD (latest version). Only one tab is on and the other goes off in the background. Desktops have no problem dealing with this kind of multitasking. Is there a way to make the Xoom support tab multitasking?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have bought a usb-to-microusb adaptor wihout any luck at all. I mean the adapters seem the right ones, although they are not the otg type. It is just a standard female-usb-to-male-micro-usb adaptor.I`d like to be able to defenitely replace my laptop with my xoom for obvious reasons.Since i already own 3 usb hard drives (usb-powered, no power cordf). Each one a 500 GB unit.Since the xoom comes equipped with a micro-usb input, it seems that a sensible use for it would be any usb external drive, like the WD Passport series or even a std usb flash card?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMine is exactly same problem as the one posted below I think it is definately a design fault. url...Im have problems with support for my motoactv I bought it in us bu live in UK, Australia and Jakarta. The support chaps are telling me that I need US address and are refusing to offer me any support. My device fell out of the armband about a metre on wood floor when i was at the gym and the screen cracked from the corner. This seems to be a common issue with the device. Is has been going on with support of 6 weeks and they keep sending emails saying it has been resolved, when it most certainly has not.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a daughther that is 16 months old and sometimes while traveling we will start a movie on the Xoom for her to watch. But being that she is young, she loves to touch the screen which usually causes the movie to stop.
I have searched the Google Play for an app that would allow the screen and buttons to lock for a toddler and still show what is on the screen, but I have not found one yet. The screen could still be unlocked, but it would be like the lid to a medicine bottle, only a grown-up could unlock it.
I just replaced a glass screen on my father's Motorola Xoom with the 4G LTE upgrade. Total cost was $101 and about two hours of time. The Xoom was dropped on a tile floor and had multiple cracks in the glass, but was still functional. Just want all you fellow Xoom owners to know it can be done yourself if you have at least a bit of skills (and a hair dryer).

View 2 Replies View Relatedwith all of the complaints about the Xoom being a Fingerprint magnet I thought I would share this info.
The cloth from the Monster Ultimate Performance TV Cleaning Kit works like a charm. I use the cloth dry and it removes all the fingerprints from my Xoom screen.

My biggest complaint about the Xoom is the fact I am not able to take screen shotsinstalled ICS tell me if the new OS has that functionality built into it?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a 3G Verizon Xoom on 3.1. I've noticed an issue since I got the tablet a few months ago; every once in a while, when opening a URL from outside the browser, the screen will flicker, like the connection to the LCD has gone bad. It is corrected by tilting the tablet to change the orientation from landscape to portrait, and then everything is fine. The issue only happens when opening the browser from inside another app - by clicking on a link in the gmail app, for instance.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSince the 3.2 update my screen dims and hangs in many programs such as choosing a picture to upload to facebook. Screen just dims and doesn't do anything. Not happy with this update.
View 9 Replies View RelatedOn occasion, when I hold my Xoom so that it is tilted backwards (i.e. I'm lying down and the Xoom is held in front of me slightly tiled back) the screen becomes totally unresponsive to taps. If I tilt the screen forward and retap it seems to work fine or if I press the standby/power button on and off it seems to reset and work fine. This happens about 25% of the time and once it starts it continues until I reboot.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to take a shot of my Xoom screen without rooting my device or paying for an app? The only one I've found for sale for non-rooted devices is the best part of $10, which I will pay if I have to but it seems weird that the device doesn't do this anyway.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWith honeycomb, when you removed the tablet from the dock (and it was in standby) the screen turned on, but now with ICS I only get to hear the 'sound' but the screen doesn't turn on, I have to use the on button to turn the screen on..
View 1 Replies View RelatedI unboxed my first Woot! purchase 30 mintues ago (a Xoom Wifi refurb), which unfortunately has a 3/4" crack in the internal screen (picture attached below). The crack is internal and the box it was shipped in looks pristine, it must have happened before/while it was getting refurbed maybe? Or just missed?
What are my options? I put out my feeler to Woot to see if I can exchange it, but I'm guessing they will just point me to Moto for it to be fixed. [URL]
I have read the discussions on the screen glare on the xoom and do not find the answer to my question. I was told by sales person to install the Zagg Screen protectant. I did so and what a mess, so I took it back to Best Buy and they replaced it and installed it for another $15. I went outside to take some pictures of a quail and her 15 babies and could seen nothing on the screen. Tried different ways. Then I thought about doing work or play with my Xoom outside on the deck and that was a lost cause too.
What can I do to get rid of the glare on the Xoom screen with the Zagg installed? Can I put something over the Zagg? It was not cheap and I paid to have it installed. The person who answered my question I though was just making a joke. I tried full brightness of the screen and my sunglasses. IT WORKED> Kind of dark but good enough to see what I was taking a picture of I need to find the name of the last reply because that was the one with the answer that worked.
my screen is flickering when i use the browser or gtalk

View 4 Replies View RelatedI discovered this evening while wiping the screen with a micro-fiber cloth while there was a scrollable list on the screen that my finger touches were registering right through the cloth! So I played with that a little bit and I thought that was sorta clumsy tryingto keep thecloth wrapped around my finger.I wondered if finger touches would register if I was wearing a finger cot.So I tried one and was stunned when it WORKED!!It worked right through the latex or whatever they are made from. You can get them at the drug store. Just ask for finger cots at the pharmacy. If they don't know what they are, some people call them Mexican condoms. No offense intended for any hispanics on the board.Just roll it on your finger as far as is comfortable. All you need is to cover the tip of your finger.
