I'm not sure how to describe this annoyance, but hopefully someone knows how to resolve the issue.About a month ago I received a spam Email (AOL) which I have linked to the default Email client.I deleted the Email without opening the Email but ever since the header appears everytime I receive a new Email notification in the systray.Fortunately it wasn't anything of a comprmising nature just a sales pitch for the "Original Orgreenic Pan".I've tried removing the account as well as deleting the email cache to no avail.
View 3 Replies View Relatedwhile I was working from my laptop for a few days I didn't want mail being duplicated on to my Xoom too so I did something that prevented mail from downloading.I have two email accounts set up and they have both worked fine previously. One is an Exchange account and the other is not.Unfortunately I can't remember what I did and now that I want to receive email on my tablet again I can't do it. Can't even send a test message. I've gone through account settings and my server details are correct, got it set to 15 minutes inbox check, ticked email notifications, got the servers checked to sync, etc.What other settings am I missing that may be behind this problem
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have three POP3 comcast accts set up, currently scheduled to refresh every 10 mins.The application is just not loading new emails; even when I try to manually refresh the refresh icon just spins ans spins with no progress- not good.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the original Xoom 4G, Android 4.0.4 and use it every day. Here's my issue .... When I delete an email message, I get a new email notification shortly after. If I delete 3 messages, I get a notification that I have 3 new messages.Of course when I check, there are none. I tried removing the email account and reconfiguring it, but that didn't help.

The documentation for ICS 4.0 states that the update brings "improved email": "To help you locate and organize IMAP and Exchange email, the Email app now supports nested mail subfolders, each with synchronization rules. View 5 Replies View RelatedI just realized that as of April 19, I have not been able to send anything on my Outlook Exchange email accoutn. It's receiving just fine, but my Outbox is full of unsent mail! I remember a problem we had in the past with not being able to reply to messsages, but these are both replies and new messages. My settings are all exactly the same as my DroidX phone, which sends just fine. I have a command at the top of my Outbox that says "Send All Messages," but it doesn't do anything.I've rebooted a couple of times, with no change.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery now and again, I miss an email in the non-gmail inbox. As well, I usually notice that I've gotten a duplicate alert for an already seen email. Example: Today I had a fedex confirmation from 10:30 come through at 3, for which I had already read two emails newer. The fedex email was not at the top of the stack, it was unread in the third slot.

Basically, if I create a new message it will send from my WiFi only Xoom via my Exchange account. However, if I reply to a message it just sits in the Outbox forever.
POP3 is fine.
It was fine before I upgraded to 3.1, and my HTC Desire running 2.2 works fine too.
I have been having a problem where the email widget is not updating except when I reboot. the email is working and syncing but the widget itself is not showing the new mail. The gmail one is working fine. Also the calender widget does not change dates until reboot. If all else fails Reset I guess but I am trying to avoid that. I have a Canadian Xoom running Android 3.2 no Root.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI receive lots of email from friends and family that contain pictures that have been inserted between lines of text. They show up fine in outlook and webmail, but on the Xoom they show up with tiny placeholders (boxes with green question marksressing on "show pictures" does not help. Emails with regular attacements can be viewed by clicking on attachements, and advertising pics are shown after clicking "show pictures" Only embedded or inserted pictures are not displayedI have seen posts about this on the android forum, but could not find any answers.Hopefully there is a solution, especially since the Xoom has the latest
View 3 Replies View RelatedUp until yesterday, I was able to click on a link in my email and open the browswer with that link. All of a sudden, the screen dims, (with like a blueish tint) but does nothing.I have tried clearing the cache, a hard reset (volume up and on button) and even used the reset to default in the browser settings. This is both for the stock browser and Dolphin Browser HD.

The browsing speed is very very slow and most sites dont open.The signal strength shown in xoom is - (-105 dBm 3 asu).Is this a issue with Android 3.2 update or my home wifi is weak? View 10 Replies View RelatedThis post is for all of us who bought the Xoom because 4g speed was an important factor to us. We've been informed by email that our Xoom 4G upgrade will be available in September (2011), early Sept or late Sept who knows. We'll also have to send the Xoom back for the upgrade so the inconvenience factor to get our 4g is high.
Well for those of us [i.e. myself] who bought early in the hopes that Motorola would exceed our personal expectations and put the upgrade in our Xooms quickly after the initial Xoom release on Feb 24, 2011, we've been disappointed with this unreasonably long delay.
The bar of what we expect from Motorola is now set by the Galaxy tab 4G and the tab speeds are, well, phenomenal.[URL].. So, a personal observation, the upgrade had better be stellar and fast now that the Xoom will [maybe?] be the No. 2 4g tablet on the Verizon network. You can't win the first to 4g tablet market race but you sure better not blow the performance side of 4g.
There is a lot to like about the tablet, but some features I'm disappointed in. I was looking at the "supported devices" page for the Motocast USB software and it does not include this tablet. At the bottom of the page, it also says "MotoCast USB software works with most but not all of Motorola's Android devices." Is it possible to use it on the FE?
