Feb 8, 2012when the phone is connected to 3g, then i cannot receive sms, nor receive the call if the 3G is in use.how can i fix this?

Jun 26, 2011this is honestly the worst phone I have ever owned. I had a blackberry that about a month ago stopped getting about half the emails I should have gotten. After a month of talking with IT about this and trying all kinds of fixes I gave up and decided to get and android phone to bypass the blackberry servers I assumed were the culprit. Well I am going to return this phone tomorrow and use my blackberry again. Yes, after 5 days of trying ever possible setting I have given up. I had the emails working for about 5 minutes and then after setting up a gmail account they stopped. I did a reset on the phone thinking this would help. Nope. And today mysteriously my old gmail account showed up even though I never set it up. Google is evil. And this phone is a piece of crap.
One of the big problems with this phone are the additional security settings under the advanced settings for incoming and outgoing servers. Out of about 10 Motrola IT people I talked to on the phone or chatted with had no idea what these were. I kept asking if they were for SSL and no one knew. Then yesterday I was told by the only intelligent person they are an additional secruity password you can get from your ISP and are similar to SSL keys. I had them checked (the port numbers will automatically change) the first time I had the phone working. But unchecked them and was able to sent two emails to my own email address and yet received no other emails yesterday as a test. Today I tried to send myself another email and it didn't go through though it appeared on my desktop.

Jun 13, 2011I've been evaluating different Sprint phones for our company and decided to try the XPRT after using the Nexus S4G for a couple of weeks and dealing with the signal issues. I really like everything about this phone but I'm having other callers complain about my voice/call quality on their end. I'm told it sounds digitized and sometimes parts of the words seem to be lost almost like noise cancellation. I've tested this myself using my office phones and have had the same call quality issues. I did install the latest update which didn't seem to make a difference. I know the Droids had some of these same problems but it looks like those were fixed with a firmware update. Is anyone else having call quality issues on the far end?

Nov 8, 2011Clean boot (restart), the proximity sensor works fine (when on call it turns screen off, when moved away from face screen on). As soon as I make or receive call via bluetooth (Motorola brand btw.) The proximity sensor stops working. When on call it will not turn the screen off... Rebooting the phone will fix until a call is made/received via bluetooth. This was confirmed with other Moto phones (Photon...) as well as different bluetooth devices.

BB Bold :: Can't Send Or Receive SMS / Make Or Receive Call?
Oct 22, 2010I have had my Blackberry 9700 since July 2010 with no problem until this past week it has stopped making and receiving phone calls and I can't send or receive SMS. When I try to make a call, it instantly comes up with "Call Failed". I have talked to my carrier (o2) and they too cannot come up with a fix, there is no issue from there part as the sim card works fine on another phone. Strange thing is I can still use the internet on 3G, send and receive emails and my BBM works.
In Manage Connections >> Services Status, it says:
Status: not available
Connection: not connected
Blackberry internet service:
Connection: Mobile network

Jul 23, 2012I have a completely stock Moto XPRT running 4.1.15.MB612. When I select to check for updates, it says 4.1.110.MB612 is available so I click to download. I'm on wifi so thankfully it's not too slow. The phone reboots, shows the Android guy doing his thing then quickly boots back in to Android before eventually popping up with the error "failed to update". So I lurked the forums and see to hold the @ symbol down when in recovery and do so, here's what pops up.

Motorola XPRT :: Turning On By Itself After Gingerbread?
Nov 8, 2012I have at least 6 XPRT's in my company that users are complaining they turn on by themselves in the middle of the night. This started happening after the Gingerbread update and has happened on phones that I've done a factory reset on. I've had them remove them from the cases to make sure they are pressing on the power button but the problem persists. I've seen some posts from Droid users having had the same problem and one XPRT user on the Sprint forums.
Could it be an app that get's installed. I've confirmed they are shutting them off and not just putting them in "low power" mode.
