I have had my Xprt for a few weeks now; I can't get video to play out of the web browser (like watching ESPN highlights). I tried restoring the browser settings; I even installed a new browser (opera) to see if it would work. i got nothing.

View 15 Replies View Relatedi have a xoom that i got today and am totally in love with it.... or was until an hour ago! i've tried to watch embedded videos (ranging from 8-35 minutes long) from multiple sources (my schools website, Internet.com, etc) and every single time it starts playing great and i can see the buffering indicator moving along until it gets about 1/3 complete and then it stops. suddenly the buffer indicator jumps to the end and the video plays until it reached the point in which it stopped earlier. at that point the video ends and gives me the "replay" option. i've factory data reset the device already, tried watching long videos through the Internet app (that works perfectly), and uninstalled and reinstalled adobe flash 10.3.

When I tried to play it I got ann error message that said "This file cannot be displayed or played". If it is too large a file for the phones video player does anyone know of an app that I could play or edit it with?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought an Atrix a few months ago and have had a few problems, but have had NO time to address it. So, I've just ignored it. The main problem is that I cannot play a video that has been sent to me via text. I am able to play videos that I record on the Atrix. I have even sent myself a video from my Atrix and it has played. I don't know why my phone is unable to play videos that have been texted to me.
Another problem is that my ringtone will not stay correct. Sometimes my ringtone will be what I have selected and other times it plays an old ringtone that I had set from my previous phone. I have checked the settings for my ringtone. I don't have any specialized ringtones for any specific people on my contacts list. So my ringtone can be one of 3 songs that are on my songs list. compared to the one listed above. I dont know how a phone this "smart" cannot play videos received.
When I try to play an AVI video file (from an 808 keychain camera) that I copied from my computer to the phone SD card, the file comes up & plays but all I get is audio with a blank/black screen. The files play fine on the computer. I tried small ( 8mg ) files but no difference. I use the stock media player w/ flash player which has worked great for everything up till now. OS is 2.3.6.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a wifi only xoom running android 4.0.3. yesterday i got the ics update and my ability to watch video from amazon on my xoom in my browser went bad. prior to the update it worked on and off but when it had problems they were never like this, and when it had problems they showed up on all computers i own that tried to use the service. the problem on the xoom tablet continues today. the video is pixelated and very choppy. the audio is very crackly and popping. this is not the way it worked prior to the upgrade.
i can watch the same video on my desktop chrome browser and it works fine. i can watch it on firefox browser and it works. on the xoom i can use the andriod marketplace to buy a video and watch it and it works fine. i can use the xoom browser to view ted and Internet videos and they work fine. is it the browser, the ics update, or is the amazon delivery system antagonistic to ics? also i noticed a very sharp drop in audio volume output of all kinds once the isc upgrade had been done. i simply can not turn up the volume loud enough to hear it easily.

A friend of mine owns a tablet and his tablet plays the videos on that site his tablet opens the video player to play the video but my DROID RAZR maxx doesnt do anything do I need flash player to play the videos or my phone just can't play the videos on that site.

View 8 Replies View RelatedAfter a recent update to ES File Explorer it is now possible to open and view video directly from a shared folder in a wifi network. I used to stream video using DLNA and upnplay from my nas, but now I can play the files directly from the share on the nas! Much simpler and it seems better. It's almost like having a few TB of storage on the Xoom.

I tried it on several videos one of which I uploaded from my phone and my wife could play it fine with her Thunderbolt and was quick to say it was because her phone was better than mine.

When I try to look at weather animations (i.e. radar loops), the page rebuils quickly and correctly except for where the "looped" image should be. There is either a blank white space(National weather service) or a blank black space (weather .com). Pulling battery made no difference. These loops used to work and I am not aware of any changes/deletions/new apps etc that could have caused the animations to stop working.
I HAVE BOUGHT A MOTORLA XPRT A MONTH AGO AND I ADDED THE 3G MOBILE HOTSPOT TO IT A WEEK LATER. FOR A WEEK MY PHONE WAS DOING FINE AND THEN WHEN I USE THE 3G MOBILE HOTSPOT I KEEP MY PHONE PLUGGED IN AND THE BATTERY SAYS IT IS CHARGING BUT IT IS DOING THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE AND GOING DEAD. MY PHONE KEEPS TURNING OFF IN 4-5 HOURS AND IT IS SAYING IT IS DEAD. AND ALSO MY PHONE GETS HOT AT THE TOP OF THE PHONE, THE BOTTOM OF THE PHONE STAYS COOL.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a completely stock Moto XPRT running 4.1.15.MB612. When I select to check for updates, it says 4.1.110.MB612 is available so I click to download. I'm on wifi so thankfully it's not too slow. The phone reboots, shows the Android guy doing his thing then quickly boots back in to Android before eventually popping up with the error "failed to update". So I lurked the forums and see to hold the @ symbol down when in recovery and do so, here's what pops up.

I have at least 6 XPRT's in my company that users are complaining they turn on by themselves in the middle of the night. This started happening after the Gingerbread update and has happened on phones that I've done a factory reset on. I've had them remove them from the cases to make sure they are pressing on the power button but the problem persists. I've seen some posts from Droid users having had the same problem and one XPRT user on the Sprint forums.
Could it be an app that get's installed. I've confirmed they are shutting them off and not just putting them in "low power" mode.
