My Photon Froze when the battery was almost out, then turned itself off. Now will not turn on, only get the opening screen where it says dual core technology. Ive tried everything, taking out the battery, charging the phone, turning it on without the battery. A few times it has said boot failed in the top corner.
View 12 RepliesSo I have had my AT&T G4 since last June and it's worked perfectly fine. Suddenly tonight as I was just watching YouTube my phone froze and shut down. I tried taking out the battery and it won't turn back on at all. The LG screen shows up and then it loops a bit before going dark and the power button won't work. Not until I replace the battery again. And the cycle begins anew. Sometimes the white AT&T screen shows, but still nothing. Once I got it to a screen that was optimizing apps I think. But that quickly failed.
I haven't factory reset yet because I do not want to loose my information and I don't know if I even have a back up. I don't know what to do and I can't be without my phone.
i was opening an app when my phone froze, i held the power button till it turned off. it then took over 2 mins to switch off, it will now not turn on or charge. my laptop does not reconise that it is connected to it.

My iphone 4S froze and got "hot". All I had was an asterisk on the screen so I rebooted it as suggested. Now I wonder if I should be turning it off more often?

My phone shut off earlier, while I was using it. The battery was just about fully charged, and it was plugged in. I've tried holding down the power button, power and volume down, power, volume down, and home. I tried taking the battery out as well. Its been a few hours, and it still wont turn on.

The phone reboots itself sometimes when I try to make or receive a phone call (2 or 3 times a day). I know this is happening to other Photon owners and I already tried the factory reset twice. My build # is 4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_6. Does anyone know a fix for that?
View 15 Replies View RelatedMy flipside as i was loading a webpage just went black(while plugged into computer for charging). i hit the power button and nothing happended. So tried plugging into wall outlet and the green light will flicker a few times but will not charge. If i pull the plug out just a slight bit i can keep the green light but phone still does not charge. I have had previous problems of phone randomly discharging with 30 percent battery left. glitch? but the fact that the phone will not even power to charging screen indicates somethign must be wrong. I tried a friends charger of the same phone without any luck. Battery has not indicated any signs of wearing out. It would last as long as the first day i bought the thing. Anyone else had similar problems?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased my N97 about a year ago and I absolutely adore it. I haven't run into any problems until last week. When I turn on my phone, enter the unlock code and use it to do whatever I need to do, it works fine. However, if I lock the phone or let the backlight shut off, it won't turn back on and neither do the lights on the number keys. Here is the funny part: If I press the power key (as if I were to change my profile) the backlight turns on, allowing me to see the screen, but the number keys don't light up! Does anyone know what I can do?
I'm not very tech savvy (so please don't laugh if my solutions are completely wrong), but here are some of the things I have done to try and rectify the problem:
- Let the battery drain completely and charged it in the hopes that it would rectify itself like it has in the past with other issues
- Took out the battery, SIM card and memory card just to make sure everything was inserted properly
- Restored the phone to factory settings

Within two hours of it being up and operational my phone has froze up on me and is making noises as it's connecting to the dock when it's not near it. I called Verizon and they told me to do a master reset of my phone. After explaining to them several times I have done this twice already they said that there was nothing that they could do for me except send me another phone yet again.

Also, it sometimes still has the LED flashing but attempts to wake it by pressing the menu button or on/off switch don't work at all and the only resolution is to do a battery pull.Anyone else having these issues?I am also very disappinted with the speaker volume. I had an original Motorola Droid and that speaker was loud and powerful. This speaker is pitiful. There's no use using it as an alarm clock. The vibrate doesn't work half the time either.

Overall, I am very impressed with the phone, however my wife's is randomly rebooting, and will not turn back on without disconnecting the battery or plugging back into the wall. I see that a lot of people have had trouble with their 9900s not turning on or charging. I've tried connecting the phone to the computer and it will not recognize it, the instructions for making a device recognized is not working either. There was no water damage.
