View 11 Replies View RelatedI would like to buy the XOOM speaker dock and play music from my XOOM on a daily basis.... I'm worried about having it plugged (and charging) in too much and that I might GREATLY reduce the battery life by charging my XOOM too much.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWith honeycomb, when you removed the tablet from the dock (and it was in standby) the screen turned on, but now with ICS I only get to hear the 'sound' but the screen doesn't turn on, I have to use the on button to turn the screen on..
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently ordered a Droid 3, which came with free car dock and home dock. But when the phone is hooked up to the car dock-which is suppose to help the phone be "hands free"- the sound won't work. In other words, when I get a text and it says, "say Listen to hear your text" I can't ? This also happens when I try to use the navigation. I can see and it works fine, but I can't hear the instructions unless I take it off the dock, which is where I need it to be.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince the 2.3.4 update (and the factory reset that went with it) I'm getting my notification sounds at night while in the charging cradle. I thought the cradle software was supposed to automatically mute those notification sounds, but there must be something I've not set right somewhere. Anyone know how to fix it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've searched here and several other forums without success for an answer to how to suppress the notification sound that occurs when inserting the Droid 3 into the HD dock. I did see another thread that seems to mention this but it deals more with ongoing notifications throughout the night and I don't have any problems with that. don't want to use silent mode because I want calls to come through, but I don't want the notification sound to play on insert. I've tried the Bedside dock app becuase it selectively suppresses notification sounds (no email alert, can choose phone or SMS alerts). Bedside works great to handle email notifications but it insn't active until after the dock insert sound has played. This is a real nusiance when my wife is already asleep when I place the phone in the dock.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI picked up a standard dock for the Razr today and I noticed something odd about the volume. If I have my headphones plugged directly into the dock itself the volume is considerably lower and have to have the media volume all the way up. When I have the headphones plugged directly into the phone the sound levels are normal. Would really like to be able to just keep my headphones plugged into the back of the dock - how to increase the dock volume?
View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes any hear a crackling sound on their speaker when on their Razr? I am talking about the earpiece not the loudspeaker. I can hear it on 100% Volume but anything under 100% and I can't hear it or can hardly hear it. Is this normal and who else has this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was wandering is there any way I can boost the speaker sound on the xprt .The alarm can not wake me and the ringtone I barely here .Everything is to the max , I even downloaded volume plus from android market but did not help at all .
View 5 Replies View RelatedYesterday my sound on my Photon became distorted to the point of sounding like a distorted buzz. This includes system sounds and anything else that plays even when I pull out the battery and then boot into safe mode. I thought it may have been due to a bug in an update, but everything is up to date and I don't see any other complaints on this or any other forums. Oddly enough, everything sounds fine using headphones. Maybe it is a speaker/hardware failure, but that would seem very unusual. Everything else seems to be working OK.
For the record, here are the software versions running currently:
Android 2.3.4
Kernel 2.6.32.9
hearing a clicking sound when playing videos or netflix from the Bionic? I was trying netflix for the first time playing futurama episode 44 "were the buggal" and when ever there was sound from the speakers it was makeing a clicking sound even when it it is about half way turned down.I tryed to take of the back and it still dose it....is it just my new phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedFor the first time, my Bionic started making a sound, somewhat between a slow crackle and a tick (although not perfectly regular in timing), that was audible with the phone setting on a sofa cushion. It sounded like it was coming from the area of the mic, but I suppose it was coming from the speaker on the rear near the bottom. I was not actively using any apps at the time, although Google Music and Pocket Casts had both been used (via Bluetooth headset) earlier today.
I tried sleeping the phone and waking it up, and the sound resumed. Power off, waiting a minute or two, and then power on seems to have fixed it, at least for the 10 or so minutes since I restarted it. For the record, this phone has been nearly 100% reliable -- the battery cover has never been off since leaving the Verizon store, about a week after launch.
The only way i get sound back is to plug in my headphones and then unplug them. After i do that i get the sound back again

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently; within the past week, my Maxx is intermittently loosing sound from the external speaker. I've tried rebooting, reinstalling the OS, etc... so I took to the internet: [URL]. Pressing on the kevlar cover works for a brief time; but when I am missing calls or notifications, its a little late to be pressing on the back cover to make the speaker connection. I dropped my phone when I first got it (March '12) so the warranty center is going to claim physical damage and charge me full retail for the phone. I can't go for much longer with a phone that doesn't ring.
View 6 Replies View Relatedwe play music out of the speakers all the time, and to be honest the speakers are really good for this type of device. But is there any speaker docks available? Would be great to have one that charges to. I'm in UK btw.Or does the rapid charger dock have a speaker/connection out to connect to some do speaker's ? If not what do people use?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince I installed the ICS update, I have no sound control. The speaker shows a slash through it indicating off, but it will not allow me to turn sound on.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMost of the time when I startup my Xoom it will not play any sound that I can hear. If I hold the volume up button and the power button to reboot then the sound is fine. Has anyone else heard of this problem and is there a fix or just to continue what i have been doing.

View 8 Replies View Relatedon mine XOOM /WI-FI tab, it seems that i need to first push the on button then let go an push an hold again for a sec then it will power on? Is this the normal way to turn on from a total power off state? As in sleep mode only need to be pushed 1x and screen comes awake. There actualy is nothing of any extent on the power button in the emanual that I could see for normal power up.Also as iv seen some comments elsewhere on the Sound Output quality, well on a set of earbuds its good quality sound, on the built in speakers ..well for a device of this small size one should expect decent sound but cant expect very much as to high end sound really it is only tiny sound. But ..the HDMI out sound is very poor quality , on a TV in or AVAmp in the same..very flat, dulll, boxee sound-tested using same music vidaudio file as from laptop, or other small device. and resulting sound is ..well crap... just only real neg comment otherwise.

A new issue with the 3.2 update. I set the speaker volume to zero and pressed OK. Later I attempted to reset the volume to full on. Next I initiated an MP4 movie (using the latest Quicktime); the movie plays fine but with no sound. I stop the movie go back to the sound setting and it has reset itself to zero. The same result with an MP3 music file. Is this a software compatibility issue?
