No GPS data was detected. That's the message I see after synching my latest run from this morning to the web portal. I had the run scheduled on the portal calendar, and it appeared in my device as a planned run. When I selected that run on my device it gave me Outdoor or Indoor options. I chose Outdoor and it began searching for my heart rate monitor and GPS signal. Locked on heart rate monitor immediately and gave me the "GPS Locked" ,essage after about 2 minutes. I pressed Start and ran for 20 minutes. Returned home and synched the device. No GPS data was detected.
I just did a 15km outdoor run, and used the race yourself feature. Everything worked fine, the gps was detected at the start, and I got my pace and distance information throughout the run. However when I uploaded the run there is no map or elevation information and it says "No GPS data was detected".
I finished my first indoor run today and the run data on the motoactv device and treadmill don't match. I completed my workout and came home and synced my data. Is there a way to update the run data on the website to match the treadmill data or does the update have to happen on the device prior to syncing?
I currently use Sports Tracker (www.sports-tracker.com) to monitor my runs. Now that I have purchased the MOTOACTV 8GB I want to export my workout data from Sports Tracker and import it to MOTOACTV.com
All of my runs start and end in the same place (in reality). However, the last n minutes (or miles?) of every run seem to be getting lost somewhere. The problem exists in both the device and on the site, so I'd assume it's getting lost in the device.
I am a new user and it seems that motoactv is using something like cloud station to let us uploading our workouts data there. The layout of the motoactv.com is nice. Well, if just in case, the motoactv.com platform stops operating, how can we backup our training workouts data?
I know other company has software for users to install in the PCs so that they can transfer their workouts data from their devices to their PCs. However, motoactv does not offer this kind of software.
I find there is "export" button in motoactv.com. However, for the four kinds of format we can choose, "KML, TCX, GPX (route data), CSV", I really don't know how to use and view them. May I ask anybody who can teach me here?
Well, the only thing I can think of is there is a workout summary in the motoactv. It already give us much information of our workouts except the Zone data. Perhaps we can transfer those data to our record manually. However, I really hope that there should be a much better solution.
I've been using my MotoACTV for just over a month and I've been running a sync over wifi after each workout. I took the device on holiday with me for 2 weeks and tracked ~5/6 runs on the device while I was away. I just ran a sync via the USB when I got back and it looks like it's lost the data for the 5/6 runs. The data isn't online and they are no longer appear to be on the device
just choose download from under workout stats, go to the link below, choose the file you just downloaded (rawDataCvs.cvs) hit convert and it will auto download a file (Motoactv.tcx) that can be uploaded into RunKeeper and other Garmin sites.I don't even know who created this, but I would love to shake their hand. url..
Been searching the forums and have not found a solution. My activ will no sync any work out data to my phone at all despite re-pairing, rebooting, and reinstalling app. I have also done a factory reset.Still nothing shows up on the phone application.
-all software is up to date.
-notifications to device still work (text, phone call, etc)
I would like to go to one location to view and/or manipulate my data (over a long period). Currently, I don't see how or if it is even possible. Another issue is that when I view the workout data and look at the speed data, it does not reflect actual speed. The data is not representative of the ride. For example, I know I hit a top speed of 32 mph, but nowhere in the downloaded data is a number anywhere near 32.
I have synced the device after each run and today it doesn't show the run I did online, but shows on the device as synced. Using Windows exploerer to view...
I recalibrated my device for both walking and running. I ran for 30 minutes. I have attached a picture of the data. As you can see, even though I am running at about the same pace throughout the run, there are huge empty spaces where it must think I am not moving. why that is the case or am I just not understanding the data display
Is there any way to extract data from training I did without having to sync to Motoactv.com? Is there a way to get .gpx or the csv file from the sdcard?
I just completed an indoor 5.75 mile jog. I hit the stop button. The unit showed 0 for distance on screen.Confused, I then confirmed to end the workout. The unit repeated the summary to me at 1:02:36 and 5.65 miles(within atenth of a mile of the treadmill, good deal). Still the display info showed no distance laps or heartrate info. Why did it not record the data, but the audible summary was correct?
My account suddenly lost all the workout data. My goals, settings, workout plans, calender....all that data is present. And when I log in I see my latest workout, but when I click on the view details button or click on the wellness tab I get nada.
I have been using my MA with ANT+ HR Monitor sensor nearly every day since I got this as a Christmas present for a several hours.I noticed at the end of about 3 months that the HR Sensor was flacky, so I replaced the 2032 3 volt battery in the sensor. This seemed to fix the problem. The device worked well for a few more weeks and than I was having similar problems, so I replaced the battery a 2nd time.Yesterday, I was able to use the HR Sensor for my morning workout, but the sensor was no longer transmitting when I went for a 5 mile walk.i replaced the battery again and repaired the sensor with the device. It seemed to connect fine, but there is not any live data being displayed from the HR sensor.I have tried repairing the sensor and it will pair, but their is no data being recieved by the MA device.Has anyone else had problems like this with their ANT+ HR Sensor?
Had my motoactv about a month. Traveled from the US to ireland. Did a successful sync of one run here. Changed the watch to local time, and did another run - now I'm getting "Fitness data sync failed." The motoactv software tells me to check the logs for more details. I do. More details = "Fitness data sync failed.". Not a very helpful 'more details'. I'm assuming this has something to do with the time change, but upon setting the time back to Eastern, it still fails.
I bought the 16GB MOTOACTV, and I've been struggling for days to get it working. After countless restarts, uninstalls, reinstalls, configuration, etc., I think it finally works... except for one thing. The device fails to sync fitness data through MotoCast USB. Every time I connect, a window pops up titled "Connection Error" that says "Your MOTOACTV device cannot connect to the internet."
Of course, I've updated the device software to MA 1.6.12 N16 and Motocast to 1.2.9 (with Motcast USB at version 1.7.0151.0). and I've let everything related to the MOTOACTV through my firewall. The music sync works, and I can see all my playlists from iTunes and Windows Media Player, and I can even sync the fitness data through Wi-Fi (Settings->Wireless->Workout Sync->Sync now).
I just got done reinstalling MotoCast and MotoHelper 2.1.40 Driver 5.5.0, and that didn't help, and I've done a factory reset and tons of reboots. What else is there that I can try?
Windows 7 Professional SP 1 x64 MotoCast for Windows Version 1.2.9 MotoCast USB Version 1.7.0151.0 MOTOACTV Software Version MA 1.6.12 N16 Model Number Motorla-F100
is anyone else unable to view their elevation data since moving to the new MA portal? I am experiencing this issue even when viewing older workout data.
I just tried syncing music to my MotoACTV. It was going along fine, and then I got an error along the lines of "There is a network failure on drive F:. The data is lost." I have done a factory reset, and have uninstalled and reinstalled the motocast software. When I try to sync, it goes through the "Analyzing files" stage and then gets to "Syncing Music to Device" and freezes. I have tried syncing several different playlists, and nothing works.
I just shared my latest workout to facebook. When it generates the link, the information that it puts in the little description is NOT the metrics of my run. For example, I uploaded a 4.25 mile run......when it posted to facebook, it says I had a workout of 2.32 km. Now, if someone clicks on the link, they will see the correct data, but still this bothers me.
I have previously used Garmin Connect for uploading & sharing my routes & data. The data & map could be printed, or saved as a 2 page PDF. However, when I print from this site I get 7 pages of mostly useless generic stuff- such as scheduled workouts, etc. The details I'm looking for don't start until page 6! Is there currently a way to efficiently print, save, or share the detailed report of a specific workout, distance, pace, route map, elevation, heart rate, calories burned & music?
As of today, my month-old Motoactv will no longer sync my fitness data either through a direct USB connection or Wi-Fi network. I've synced many times over the past four weeks both ways without any trouble, but after today's run, I tried to sync and nothing happens. Motocast USB will start up when I connect to my PC, it will attempt to sync, then returns with this message:
Total Transferred files size = 0.0 B Fitness data sync failed.
Start sync with "MOTOACTV" at 2012-02-26 16:28:28 Syncing Fitness data with the MOTOACTV.com Fitness data sync failed.

When I attempt to sync via Wi-Fi, I get the error: "Network Error. Internet Connection unavailable". Everything was working until today. Now, neither options work.
How to get the phone detected in USB data mode in OSX El-Capitan?I have a rmbp. I've tried the Windows Phone app but it does not work. The osx Photos app will open automatically when I connect the usb cable but the phone is not showing.
When I set a target of type "distance & time" (e.g 5 km in 25 minutes), I can not see my progress against my virtual opponent, that is, I can not see how far or how fast I am doing against that target. Just appears my data, and none from the opponent. I already have the opponent screen enabled. When I compete against a previously saved workout, it works fine.
can I see my progress against the opponent when I set a "distance & time" target, or it only works when I compete against previously saved workouts?
Name the distance and type of race, I've likely done it several times over. I've trained with heart rate monitors, GPS devices, and Power Meters (for cycling). I push myself hard during workouts. I'm not saying this to impress anybody, trust me - I'm no pro. But I write this in the hopes that someone from Motorola actually reads this and thinks, "this guy represents our target audience. Maybe we should hear him out..." After all, there are plenty of people who train like me. If you're one of them, or if you're a MOTOACTV user who just sees the value in being able to see your data when paused, please add your vote.
The fact that the screen freezes when a workout is paused is the single reason I reach for my Garmin when I'm going out for a serious run. The ability to hit pause, assess how the workout is going, and make adjustments midway is critical. When I stop to take a drink of water, the first thing I do is hit the pause button. The second thing I do is see how I'm doing. Am I going too fast, too slow? Is my heartrate where it should be? What can I do to get back on track? My Garmin gives me all the information necessary to answer these questions. The MOTOACTV gives me nothing other than a song to listen to when I'm fuming over the ridiculousness of this "feature", or rather, the lackthereof.
There is a reason even professional athletes gather around their coach during every time-out, between quarters and during half-time. It's to assess the situation and make adjustments before it's too late. Imagine if, during every time-out or other break in the action, someone comes and tapes the coach's mouth shut and ties his hands behind his back. "How am I doing, coach?" Shrug. "Any advice for me coach?" Shrug. The game resumes, and the coach is allowed to speak again. Yup, there's your MOTOACTV. It's your coach, and he's no where to be found when you need him most.
I had to do a factory reset (finess sync had stopped working); how do I get the workout data back onto the device?Right now it says ""No Recent Workouts Recorded".
