How to get the phone detected in USB data mode in OSX El-Capitan?I have a rmbp. I've tried the Windows Phone app but it does not work. The osx Photos app will open automatically when I connect the usb cable but the phone is not showing.

I tried using the detect photos option in Nokia Camera setting but still nothing. The photo is copied correctly when in file explorer on PC but does not show up on the phone.
I wanted to copy it back to use it in a photo app on the phone. How to do this?
I tried updating my iPhone 4s (iOS 5.1 , not jailbroken) to the latest firmware using iTunes . I backedup my phone to my computer and proceded to update the firmare . During the process , after a few minutes , my phone just showed the "Connect to iTunes" picture , and the message on iTunes was " itunes is updating the software " .I waited about 15 mins to see if there was any change or progress .
So I disconnected my phone and reconnected it and iTunes didn't recognize or show any device being connected . I tried entering DFU mode to restore the phone , but it isn't entering DFU mode ( I tried the 3 sec pressing power/sleep button +10 secs of simultaneous power/home buttons + 10 secs of home button ) . I tried this atleast 30 times . I have successfully entered DFU mode with my previous iphone 3gs few months back , so I know how it's supposed to be done . Still my phone isn't being detected by iTunes .
I unintalled/reinstalled all apple software on my Win7 , (including bonjour, quicktime, itunes , and other apple software) .And even after that it isn't being detected.

I just did a 15km outdoor run, and used the race yourself feature. Everything worked fine, the gps was detected at the start, and I got my pace and distance information throughout the run. However when I uploaded the run there is no map or elevation information and it says "No GPS data was detected".
View 4 Replies View RelatedNo GPS data was detected. That's the message I see after synching my latest run from this morning to the web portal. I had the run scheduled on the portal calendar, and it appeared in my device as a planned run. When I selected that run on my device it gave me Outdoor or Indoor options. I chose Outdoor and it began searching for my heart rate monitor and GPS signal. Locked on heart rate monitor immediately and gave me the "GPS Locked" ,essage after about 2 minutes. I pressed Start and ran for 20 minutes. Returned home and synched the device. No GPS data was detected.

And the point is I forgot to make a backup and I had moved my previous backups to my pc, because they were so many, and I thought, i'll make anther before flashing but i forgot. No my phone is broken and has no OS. I however can still access recovery mode. MY question is, is it in any way possible to access my phone from my computer during recovery mode.

The problem is the USB/Microphone daughterboard that is connected to the mainboard by a ribbon cable and two antenna cables. The fault lies in this board and replacing it will fix the symptoms.
I'm using my Lumia 950XL connected to an external monitor via the HD-500 display dock. All the fonts look blurry on the connected monitor. I tried using another HD-500 display dock, reset my phone and using other monitors and I get the same results. I tried monitors that supported different resolution (1920X1080 and lower) but I still find that the smaller fonts are blurry.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've done a good deal of testing with the 1020. Shown is a resolution test with the 1020 in DNG mode. I judge the resolution at 100 LP/mm ( 35mm equivalent ). For comparison, my 14MP Sigma only makes it to about 50. My friends 20MP Canon earns about 65. 35mm color print film maxes out at about 85 and Tech Pan, 120. I use my 1020 in JEPG mode which yields about 90 but is considerably faster and less noisy than DNG mode. All these tests are " apples to apples ". In other words, the test chart fits the frame on all devices.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI cracked my screen on my original 1520. AT&T sent a replacement device (via Insurance). As soon as I got the phone, I installed Preview for Developers and checked for phone update. After updating and restarting, the phone is stuck on airplane mode. When you go into settings and try to tap the button to switch to off it doesn't do anything, however, when I swipe it to the left the toggle moves but once you let go it goes right back to the right. You can toggle the airplain mode on/off in the notifications bar but the phone still shows it is on airplane mode with no data or phone service.
I have already turned phone off and on and have also hard resetted the phone to no avail. What is odd is before the update, phone was working fine with phone service and everything, now it's just stuck on airplane mode with no service, but everything else works fine.
I upgraded to the Lumia 950 at the AT&T store near me. Don't know if it's a Lumia thing or a Windows 10 thing, but I noticed that the signal bars at the top now have little arrows coming out of them that light up when the phone is transmitting.
Sunday night I figured it was just restoring all my stuff, no big deal. But it did this all day yesterday as well. I have pretty fast Wi-Fi, so it really shouldn't be taking this long. When I woke up this morning and looked at the phone, still transmitting.
I looked at the data usage page before I went to bed, and compared it to what I saw first thing this morning, and from what I can tell it appears to be OneDrive. It used 200MB of Wi-Fi while I was sleeping. Not sure if it's downloading ALL my files to my device, or what. I went to the OneDrive app to see what they sync settings are--I couldn't find any. :-( I'd be happy if it didn't sync anything to my phone unless I specifically requested it.
I've just bought a nokia n8 but I can't put in it my sim card or my father's. It won't read it and will only display a message that reads "Offline" (hors connexion in french). I can't access my contacts. I've always had nokia phones so I don't understand why this one suddenly won't work.

View 20 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a sandisk 32gb class 10 ultra memory card and faced following problems while transferring data:
1. Moved twitter app to sd card: It took around 10-15 mins and after that i couldnt open twitter. I had to uninstall it and then install again to use it and in the process lost the data.
2. Moved all my images from phone to sd card but it didnt free up phone memory at all and sd memory filled up
I used storage sense for moving twitter app and used gallery to move images.
I am going to be traveling and will be without data / internet access or wifi for extended periods. I want to take my 1020 with me to take tons of pics but it is certain that I will run out of space on it eventually. I want to be able to move photos off of the phone quickly and easily without Data / Internet or a PC.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia E72 which was working perfectly until about a month and a half back. I might have deleted some important file on my phone, but I don't remember doing so. Anyways, now, in PC Suite mode, the computer doesn't detect my cellphone and still waits for a cellphone to be connected. This is on both Mac and PC. For Nokia Map Loader (Mac and PC) and Ovi Suite and for Nokia Media Transfer (Mac).
iSync still works as do the other modes (mass media transfer and the other ones). I've hard reset my phone. Uninstalled and re-installed all the application on the computer related to this. Even took it to a Nokia Care Point in Jeddah (my warranty is valid in Saudi Arabia only). They however were very incompetent and didn't do anything about it. I've even tested my friend's E72 and it works perfectly. So it's not the computer, rather something to do with the phone.
For two months my s6 had no problem.Like any normal smartphones it would connect to pc and can use for data transfer. Yesterday when i connected my s6 to pc it said just cable charging. I removed and connected the cable several times but no luck .Now when i connect my phone to fast charging adapter which came with the s6 ...it says cable charging and takes 1hour 40 mins...Actually it would take only 1hour 20mins. When i connect otg usb (Strontium Nitro 16gb otg usb) nothing happens. It shows only device storage...
View 6 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the PC suite from the Vivaz via the memory card and USB cable (as prompted by the program). I subsequently downloaded it from the website various times. I'm asked by PC suite to connect first the USB followed by the phone. The program momentarily detects the phone and then proudly announces that the PC suite is unable to detect the phone. Please go back to start or troubleshooting. Which I have done many times, to no avail! I've tried everything! The computer can detect the phone as storage device but the PC suite finds nothing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am unable to end calls on my Lumia 800. As soon as I hit send on a phone call, whether the phone is close to my face or not, the phone goes black, and stays black until the other end hangs up.
I went into the Diagnostics to check the Proximity Sensor and it is stuck in "Detected" mode. My phone has no screen cover and is only about a month old. There's nothing obstructing the top right side corner over the sensor. This behavior didn't begin after any update, and I have no background tasks running (though I don't believe the sensor is available via the APIs anyways).
Since there's a ton of people on xda-developers with the same issue, is there any fix to this or is my phone faulty? Is Nokia aware of this and has there been any effort to contact providers or Lumia 800 customers to let them know this is a major, wide reaching problem with this phone?

Since 2/23, I have had massive data usage at random times. 1GB here and there, sometimes in the middle of the night.My Data Sense shows that the "Restore data" app has used 8.17 GB in the last two days. All of my other apps are using negligible amounts of data.What is the "Restore data" app, and how do I tell it to stop using so much data?
One additional bit of info: 2/23 was also the date that the Microsoft Health app updated. I use a MS Band. It seems like there may have been some type of update pending on the band. When I called Verizon's tech support, they said that the pending update might have something to do with the massive data usage. We completed the update to the Band, and they said to give it another day to see if the data usage continues. What this "Restore data" app is, it doesn't sound like it has anything to do with the Band.
I am trying to get my Jabra Freeway to operate correctly with my SGSII.Although in my list of contacts on my phone I have configured the settings to only show one set of contacts, (the ones I sync with google) my Jabra Freeway sees the other two sets of contacts. The ones on my sim card and the ones (I think) on my phone).How can I get rid of the sim and phone contacts but just keep the ones synced with Google so that when I try and make a voice operated call via my Jabra Freeway, I am not told I have 3 contacts with the name I want to call.
