Nokia :: E72 - Phone Not Detected By Computer Anymore
May 1, 2010I have a Nokia E72 which was working perfectly until about a month and a half back. I might have deleted some important file on my phone, but I don't remember doing so. Anyways, now, in PC Suite mode, the computer doesn't detect my cellphone and still waits for a cellphone to be connected. This is on both Mac and PC. For Nokia Map Loader (Mac and PC) and Ovi Suite and for Nokia Media Transfer (Mac).
iSync still works as do the other modes (mass media transfer and the other ones). I've hard reset my phone. Uninstalled and re-installed all the application on the computer related to this. Even took it to a Nokia Care Point in Jeddah (my warranty is valid in Saudi Arabia only). They however were very incompetent and didn't do anything about it. I've even tested my friend's E72 and it works perfectly. So it's not the computer, rather something to do with the phone.

Jul 16, 2010I downloaded the PC suite from the Vivaz via the memory card and USB cable (as prompted by the program). I subsequently downloaded it from the website various times. I'm asked by PC suite to connect first the USB followed by the phone. The program momentarily detects the phone and then proudly announces that the PC suite is unable to detect the phone. Please go back to start or troubleshooting. Which I have done many times, to no avail! I've tried everything! The computer can detect the phone as storage device but the PC suite finds nothing.

I tried using the detect photos option in Nokia Camera setting but still nothing. The photo is copied correctly when in file explorer on PC but does not show up on the phone.

Jun 10, 2012Basically I have a problem my blackberry curve 8520 is only 4 months old, it's been working fine until today the screen has poped saying ' No GPS device detected! Please activate GPS on your blackberry for accurate location readings.' I can't do anything else click on the home on/off button nothing works I have took the battery out several times but nothing is working.

In Memory settings everything is switched to 'On' but the handset doesn't want to recognise the card for some reason. Oct 23, 2012i am using xperia neo v for the past 9 months. its running stock ICS and its rooted. two days backs i was using my sim in my usb modem to connect pc and all was working fine.when i tried to put back the sim into my phone found, the sim was not getting inserted in the gap provided. after applying some pressure it went in and when i switched on the phone it was saying "Emergency Calls Only No Sim". i switched off the phone and tried to pull out the sim but it was like stuck there and was not coming out. after some serious pulling it came out. i tried my sim in another phone it was working fine and also tried other sims on my phone all the time its saying No Sim. after some attempts to insert and remove the sim now the slim slides in and out of the gap easily.after searching the issues in internet i updated the phone using sony update center but the issue still persists.is it an issue with the hardware? do i have to take it to the service center?

Mar 4, 2015I just returned home from abroad where I was using a local sim card rather than my own. When I use a different sim card, the settings inevitably get messed up. My phone now won't recognize my headphones after Throw kicks in. What happens is that I can get music to play if I manually stop Throw. As soon as Throw restarts, the music stops playing on my headphones and goes to my external speaker. My phone won't give me the option of disabling Throw. I've tried disabling Smart Connect, disabling the headphone compatibility app, adjusting settings in throw and Smart Connect, and still have gotten nowhere after hours wasted. Losing patience.

Mar 29, 2012My iPhone recently stopped getting signals. It says "No Service" on the top, I tried putting different SIM cards, yet no difference. So I cannot receive or make calls.
So I decided to connect my iPhone to iTunes to restore it, because it may fix the issue. I connected it to 2 different computers, 5 different USB ports, running latest version of iTunes (10.6), but the iPhone would not ever be detected by iTunes.
I tried getting my iPhone into DFU mode, it shows up a cable and itunes logo, but still the iTunes doesn't detect the iPhone.

Mar 31, 2012when i plug my iphone 4s into my computer it is not detected in itunes, device manager or by drivers. it makes the connection noise and shows the charge indicator, nothing else my classic and shuffle connect fine on my computer my friends iphone 4s phones connect and are detected fine on my computer i have tried my iphone on my friends computer and it does not detect (apart from charge) i have tried a full format and re-install of windows i have tried full phone reset of settings and data it does detect and work when plugged into a sound dock (although i cant load music onto it so just played off Internet) to me it like a part of ios that syncs with the computer is broken, but i have no idea how to sort this as its not detected when plugged into a computer?

Jun 22, 2012I did a complete format on my PC with Windows 7 Professional. Just like a do once a year if it needs it or not.All software reinstalled normally as usual Installed iTunes yesterday and got my iPhone 4 hooked up to it just to setup a sync with it again, which it did.After a restart of the computer, iTunes was not seeing the phone whatsoever. Still shows up in Computer devices as shown here:As well, as followed normal troubleshooting with iTunes [url] settings and Firewall (Comodo Firewall) and Antivirus (Avast!) disabled both, and connected to phone again after restarting iTunes.Issue persisted A couple times I connected I received 2 different error messages (this does not come up all the time however)Obviously nothing has been changed on the iPhone since the format. The only different thing that occured was when the phone was connected initially to the computer and I did my primary sync I was prompted to Either "Merge" the data, or have it "replace". Of course I selected Merge. No data was changed with this and all information synced as normal.
This evening I have reinstalled iTunes completely as well as the Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Application support, etc. cleaned registry, restarted and reinstalled. As I assumed, iTunes opened and found the phone connected and synced.Restarted the computer again. opened itunes. I notice it hangs (no phone connected) for about 15-20 seconds then finally opens. It did this previously as well before the reinstall. Also booting iTunes in Safe mode (Ctrl+shift) does the same thing.
