Got a new Lum 1320, but my zune app is not detecting my phone. My laptop is in win 8 and when i connect my phone it shows as windows phone in my computer, but Zone says - phone not connected. I ve restarted my phone with the laptop still on, no joy. I ve restarted laptop with phone on - no joy. This is the 1st laptop my phone was connected primarily. I need to update my phone to 8.1, what are my options ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I try to connect my Lumia 900 to Zune for this latest upgrade, it tells me the connection fails and tells me to reboot my phone and try again. Rebooting and trying again does not help.I had this same problem with the previous upgrade. Back then I succeeded in upgrading after I deleted certificates and Forgot the phone on Zune. (The only other time that Zune connected to my phone successfully was when I first installed it.) This time I've deleted the certificates but cannot forget the phone because it doesn't connect.
I asked my two friends who have Lumias if I may try connecting to their computers (I received advice to try on another computer on this board). Both said they don't use Zune because it never works for them. I tried on one of their computers nevertheless, but of course it didn't work.
Does this mean I will never get an upgrade ever again? If so, how do I stop my phone from telling me every two days that I have an upgrade available and should connect to Zune to run it? tell me I'll have to hard reset my phone to connect it with the application that I'm supposed to use for backing up my data.
I am trying to connect my lumia 800 to my windows 7 computer but zune keeps saying: cannot connect to phone. Turn your phone off and try again. (something like that, the message is not in English).
I have tried everything I could find to solve this problem but nothing worked so far.

1)Why there is no equalizer in zune (lumia 800) and zune software (pc) is alo not user friendly. Why can't nokia comes up with there own PC SUITE for windows phone..... pc suite for symbian phones is ultimate and user friendly. we can't even synchronise our TEXT MESSAGES with zune. Is there is any possibility tht in future nokia comes up with there own pc suite for windows phones OR can update and make some changes to zune software.2) Is there is any possibility in future that we can share stuff with bluetooh to every mobile phone?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from a Lumia 521 to a Lumia 1320 last week. I can't run Windows Phone 8.1 DP on my new 1320. Apparently it's something to do with Cricket Wireless. WP 8.1 DP will install, but then it's frequent crash/restart loops. On my Lumia 521, there was a setting to enable pushing store apps/updates from Windows Phone Store in IE 11 on my Windows 8.1 Pro x64 pc to my phone.
I can't remember where the setting was in Windows Phone 8.1 for enabling this. Also, on my Lumia 521 in the Lock Screen settings, I could set the time to never, 30 minutes, 15 minutes. 5 minutes, 3 minutes or 1 minute. On my Lumia 1320 the settings are only 1 minute, 3 minutes or 5 minutes. Is there a way to get the old settings for this back ? The 30 minutes or never is useful for updates or backups. The 5 minute crap stinks.

Everything worked fine until i copied music and Video files from PC and old card. It happens that everything copied but on phone it doesn't appear anywhere except Music and Videos which are in Others and also the pictures.
I can access music files and videos through Players and also from file manager but i'm not able to see Pictures in Windows Photos but i can in File manager.
My Others folder is like 18+ GB. How do i make my wallpaper and old photos appear on phone ? Why MS is Dumb on this matter?
