Sep 28, 2012Whenever I try to connect my Lumia 900 to Zune for this latest upgrade, it tells me the connection fails and tells me to reboot my phone and try again. Rebooting and trying again does not help.I had this same problem with the previous upgrade. Back then I succeeded in upgrading after I deleted certificates and Forgot the phone on Zune. (The only other time that Zune connected to my phone successfully was when I first installed it.) This time I've deleted the certificates but cannot forget the phone because it doesn't connect.
I asked my two friends who have Lumias if I may try connecting to their computers (I received advice to try on another computer on this board). Both said they don't use Zune because it never works for them. I tried on one of their computers nevertheless, but of course it didn't work.
Does this mean I will never get an upgrade ever again? If so, how do I stop my phone from telling me every two days that I have an upgrade available and should connect to Zune to run it? tell me I'll have to hard reset my phone to connect it with the application that I'm supposed to use for backing up my data.

Why can't nokia comes up with there own PC SUITE for windows phone..... pc suite for symbian phones is ultimate and user friendly. we can't even synchronise our TEXT MESSAGES with zune. May 22, 2012I just got a Nokia Lumia 710, but I am having problems using Facebook Chat in it ( The one integrated with messaging). I have setup windows live and facebook to connect with each other and also imported contacts from facebook into windows messenger. I have turned facebook chat on, synchronized both windows live and facebook accounts on my Lumia, but still when I go to online option in "messaging" it says "No one's online" even when there are actually friends online. It does not show a 500 error or something else, it just says no one's online and doesnt update at all. The consequence of the above is that I cant send chat messages from my phone to facebook chat.

Nokia Lumia :: Incoming Call Shows Incorrect Contact?
Sep 24, 2012Our office recently bought a handful of the Nokia Lumia 880 phones for our "out of office" staff. These phones have all been updated to the latest versions of the software/firmware using Zune on a desktop.
There still appears to be a problem with incoming calls showing the incorrect contact. It appears to be ignoring the first 4 digits of the phone number and only matches the last part. We live in Australia and have to mobile syntax of 04 XXXX XXXX. Numbers saved in the phone are saved without spaces like: 0401234567
Here's an example of how to repeat the bug.
Say this is a friends number: 0450100200 and you have that saved in your phone as Friend 1
If you have a second friend with a similar number on a different network like: 0417100200 and Friend 2 calls you, the contact name for Friend 1 will appear on the call screen.
We tested this theory by adding my number into the phone as a brand new contact, but we changed the first few digits of the number. My phone number was not originally in the phone, but when I called, my name appeared on the screen, even though the number saved was different to my actual number.
I don't know whether anyone else has this issue, but I would like to get it resolved. It seems sloppy design for the numbers to be loosly matched like this.
