I had to do a factory reset (finess sync had stopped working); how do I get the workout data back onto the device?Right now it says ""No Recent Workouts Recorded".

In the watch I can see the informations and the route, but in the site I receive this message and 2 workouts from is missing!
I did two activities in my last run, and when I check in MOTOACTV website, it shows "Workout does not contain any raw data".
Did I set it wrong by combining 2 activities in 1 run?
All of my runs start and end in the same place (in reality). However, the last n minutes (or miles?) of every run seem to be getting lost somewhere. The problem exists in both the device and on the site, so I'd assume it's getting lost in the device.

I took the device on holiday with me for 2 weeks and tracked ~5/6 runs on the device while I was away. I just ran a sync via the USB when I got back and it looks like it's lost the data for the 5/6 runs. The data isn't online and they are no longer appear to be on the device

View 14 Replies View RelatedI just completed an indoor 5.75 mile jog. I hit the stop button. The unit showed 0 for distance on screen.Confused, I then confirmed to end the workout. The unit repeated the summary to me at 1:02:36 and 5.65 miles(within atenth of a mile of the treadmill, good deal). Still the display info showed no distance laps or heartrate info. Why did it not record the data, but the audible summary was correct?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter I owned my Motoactv for about a month, the device refused to sync workouts. I tried everything with the help of tech support, and finally sent the device into Motorola for repair. It came back with a note saying everything was great. Unfortunately, that did not solve the problem (music would sync, but workout sync was always "failure").I decided to try creating an entirely new account for the motoactv, and that actually worked. I have no idea why, but it worked and I have not had any problems for the past month with syncing.The only thought I have as to why is that just before the device "broke" I had tried to schedule a workout from the website for a pre-determined route for bicycling, but oddly the workout never showed up on the device.The Motorola tech support, though thoughtful, was completely unable to resolve this, even when I sent the device in for repair.I do wish I could try the schedule workout again to pre-plan a route for running or biking, but I don't want to have to come up with yet another new account on a new email address (I have run out of email addresses).

For example, I uploaded a 4.25 mile run......when it posted to facebook, it says I had a workout of 2.32 km. Now, if someone clicks on the link, they will see the correct data, but still this bothers me.

However, when I print from this site I get 7 pages of mostly useless generic stuff- such as scheduled workouts, etc. The details I'm looking for don't start until page 6! I follow the steps to unlock the phone, after I run command "fastboot boot twrp.img", then the phone rebooted and perform something around 10 minutes, after the phone resumed to system, seem all the data(apps/photo/video) are deleted, seem perform a factory reset. before that, some files didn't perform backup, now how to I recover those files after factory reset??
I try many tools said can recover after factory reset or wiped, for example Dr.Fone, EaseUS MobiSaver, Recuva, DiskDigger on Android, some can found files but all not I needed and the phone already rooted. How to recover some, not all.
I had a great workout this morning, but when I was done, the calorie count was at 111. I worked out for 50 minutes and was expecting this to be at least 600.
When I uploaded the data, the calorie count stopped at about 10 minutes into the workout and the distance also stopped incrementing. I had heart rate information, but it was much lower than what I expected (I was working out much harder than the heart rate information shows.).
The image shows the results of the data. what could have caused this malfunction of the device?
Name the distance and type of race, I've likely done it several times over. I've trained with heart rate monitors, GPS devices, and Power Meters (for cycling). I push myself hard during workouts. I'm not saying this to impress anybody, trust me - I'm no pro. But I write this in the hopes that someone from Motorola actually reads this and thinks, "this guy represents our target audience. Maybe we should hear him out..." After all, there are plenty of people who train like me. If you're one of them, or if you're a MOTOACTV user who just sees the value in being able to see your data when paused, please add your vote.
The fact that the screen freezes when a workout is paused is the single reason I reach for my Garmin when I'm going out for a serious run. The ability to hit pause, assess how the workout is going, and make adjustments midway is critical. When I stop to take a drink of water, the first thing I do is hit the pause button. The second thing I do is see how I'm doing. Am I going too fast, too slow? Is my heartrate where it should be? What can I do to get back on track? My Garmin gives me all the information necessary to answer these questions. The MOTOACTV gives me nothing other than a song to listen to when I'm fuming over the ridiculousness of this "feature", or rather, the lackthereof.
There is a reason even professional athletes gather around their coach during every time-out, between quarters and during half-time. It's to assess the situation and make adjustments before it's too late. Imagine if, during every time-out or other break in the action, someone comes and tapes the coach's mouth shut and ties his hands behind his back. "How am I doing, coach?" Shrug. "Any advice for me coach?" Shrug. The game resumes, and the coach is allowed to speak again. Yup, there's your MOTOACTV. It's your coach, and he's no where to be found when you need him most.
I am another dissatisfied user who just upgraded from 4.4 to lollipop. I am having problems with the autowiz prompt coming up often like other users, how to back up this configuration before i do a factory reset. If I backup with kids, will I lose anything we. I recover the backup onto a fresh lollipop system?

I go to https://motoactv.com/workout/show and get an engineering-guy-wrote-the-nonuserfriendly-copy popover that says "Workout does not contain any raw data".Then, I come here to ask a question and I'm asked to fill out 5 separate, non-sequential forms before I get to access the Post Question link. Someone on your Support Forum UI team REALLY needs to sit down and look at these steps and try to unify them in one flow. Quite possibly the most ridiculous support form sign up process I've seen of any OEM, ever.

Pulled out the headset from the jack and was going to make a call. When the screen turned on there was the Android icon with what looked like a green "electron cloud" type symbol animated in its open "belly". After a few minutes with that on the display, tried to shut the phone off, it wouldn't power down so I did the volume down and power button. When it came back, the phone was cleared asking me to select a language.

It also says that using the Settings method is preferable. Does anyone know why the Settings method is preferred? Is the outcome of both methods the same? The instructions (and user guide) say that the Settings method doesn't erase your external SD card, and will only erase internal storage if you choose to. Does the External Keys method work the same way? (I've used those key strokes to clear the data cache, but can't remember what the other choices are).

This isn't right is it? I should get the weather updates every hour regardless of mode.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI attempted to set up a multisport workout (10 minute warm up run, interval repeats, 10 minute cool down) and ran it today. I must have mis-configured the workout because the device did not auto start the interval activity after the warm-up run. So, I just started a new, quick-start workout for my intervals and cool-down.I've been working on a script to convert the csv data to .tcx data (I have several years of fitness data in .tcx already), and was hoping to stitch the workouts together. When I sync'ed to the motoactv site, I couldn't access the botched multi-sport workout. The site displayed an error that read something to the effect of "Workout contains no raw data". I deleted the workout from the site and was hoping to re-upload since the activity is still on my device. But it looks like it won't sync again.
