Scheduled a fitness test on the website yesterday, it DL'd to the Motoactv, I ran it - and it uploaded to the Motoactv site as a run.I'd like to start a training program, but I can't as it hasn't registered my fitness test.
View 3 RepliesDid a running fitness test this evening and it gave me the audio prompt that I'd completed it. Its showing on the portal as having been completed, but its still showing on the watch as planned even after I sync'd.

I tried restarting the device, restarting my comp, resetting the modem.Any ideas? View 2 Replies View RelatedHad my motoactv about a month. Traveled from the US to ireland. Did a successful sync of one run here. Changed the watch to local time, and did another run - now I'm getting "Fitness data sync failed." The motoactv software tells me to check the logs for more details. I do. More details = "Fitness data sync failed.". Not a very helpful 'more details'. I'm assuming this has something to do with the time change, but upon setting the time back to Eastern, it still fails.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought the 16GB MOTOACTV, and I've been struggling for days to get it working. After countless restarts, uninstalls, reinstalls, configuration, etc., I think it finally works... except for one thing. The device fails to sync fitness data through MotoCast USB. Every time I connect, a window pops up titled "Connection Error" that says "Your MOTOACTV device cannot connect to the internet."
Of course, I've updated the device software to MA 1.6.12 N16 and Motocast to 1.2.9 (with Motcast USB at version 1.7.0151.0). and I've let everything related to the MOTOACTV through my firewall. The music sync works, and I can see all my playlists from iTunes and Windows Media Player, and I can even sync the fitness data through Wi-Fi (Settings->Wireless->Workout Sync->Sync now).
I just got done reinstalling MotoCast and MotoHelper 2.1.40 Driver 5.5.0, and that didn't help, and I've done a factory reset and tons of reboots. What else is there that I can try?

I've only had my MOTOACTV for a few weeks, and its been slowly developing my fitness music playlist. I thought this was a really cool concept when I got the device. Now the issue is, I have a lot of music on my device that I just like to listen to on a regular basis, but not so much during a workout. When I was working out and those songs that kill my buzz play I skip them, but even with a second of playtime, it logged the music with my average heart rate and activity during the song... which then placed the song into my fitness playlist.

I've synced many times over the past four weeks both ways without any trouble, but after today's run, I tried to sync and nothing happens. Motocast USB will start up when I connect to my PC, it will attempt to sync, then returns with this message:

When I attempt to sync via Wi-Fi, I get the error: "Network Error. Internet Connection unavailable". Everything was working until today. Now, neither options work.
Is there a plan to incorporate support for the ANT+ Fitness Equipment Device profile? Seems that this is the only fitness related profile that is missing from the MOTOACTV. I would love to be able to use this device primarily with the Concept2 Indoor Rowing machine (as well as some Spin bikes at the gym). The Concept2 monitor software supports the FE profile and it would be nice to be able to pair the MOTOACTV to track the many meters that I'll be rowing this winter indoors. In addition... just a future thought... the accelerometer would open up the possibility of using this device as a stroke coach for on-water rowing (i.e. stroke cadence)! Nothing wearable exists like this on the market for us rowers...we have to log our workouts manually and don't have a means to retain detailed metrics such as power graph over time etc.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just completed an indoor 5.75 mile jog. I hit the stop button. The unit showed 0 for distance on screen.Confused, I then confirmed to end the workout. The unit repeated the summary to me at 1:02:36 and 5.65 miles(within atenth of a mile of the treadmill, good deal). Still the display info showed no distance laps or heartrate info. Why did it not record the data, but the audible summary was correct?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am missing a workout, but I know it was recorded because I have only had the device for a little over a week and the workout was recorded as a personal best for both time and distance. I have synced and it doesn't show up. It doesn't show in my recent workouts on the device. I also tried recording a short workout to see if it will reappear, but that didn't work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to test on the data speeds of a REV 0 device on Sprint using an older Motorola V3m. And for the life of me i cant get any normal speedtesting sites to work that measure how fast my data is.First I tried using the built in browser(Obigo Browser Q04C1-1.17) with http://mobilespeedtest.com and when running the test it gets stuck at the test running page and never redirects to my results. The second site I tried with the browser is http://text.broadbandreports.com/mspeed in which if I try to run a 1M test I get the message that the maximum download size has been exceeded. None of the smaller test sizes are large enough to produce results.
Is there some kind of a download size limit in this phone? maybe a changeable setting?The last thing I have tried is a J2me based bandwith testing app however that app would give me an error about not being able to download the test file.Does anyone have any ideas on what might work to test my data speeds on a Sprint Motorola Razr v3m? any good java apps i could load onto the phone out there that might work? also pardon my noobishness when it comes to cdma motos.
My Daughter has and iPhone 3gs and when she sends me videos she has recorded with her phone I can't open them. I have tried a number of different video player apps (moto x, rockstar, mobo) (I think those are the rightnames) and none of tehm will play it. Does anyone know what I can do to be able to watch those videos?

View 14 Replies View RelatedWe've had nothing but problems, and Verizon nor Moto through any sort of advertising weight behind these phones.What's more, you can't really even buy one right now, because everyone is "sold out."Pft.More like, they aren't selling anymore because we were the soak test guinea pigs for the Bionic, and they know that the D3 is a buggy mess and people are returning them in hordes for replacements.We have the same exact everything, except less RAM, and adding LTE.So in other words they worked out the software (and probably hardware as well) kinks on us with less RAM so that coding for something with more RAM would be easy. So the plot is, quietly release a phone so that only people who read tech blogs would know about it (aka, low sales) and then wait to see what issues arise from this extended real world soak test so they will have some additional last minute data for the Bionic.

When I try to do much of anything with the phone, the notification bar will disappear and the green light at the top starts blinking. After this happens, I cannot receive any test messages or phone calls. the only way that I can get the phone to work correctly again is to cut it off and reboot it. Yesterday it showed the update for the new software but wouldn't download it.

The quality and sound is superb, but it's just slightly out of sync. The video is about 14 minutes in length and is 1.10GB in size. On playback on the phone, it sometimes stutters (like the music stutter) and drops frames, but watch it from a computer with the file still on the SD card, and it plays flawlessly. I know the Tegra 2 is capable of 1080p encoding/decoding, so it should have no issues with 720p. What did Motorola do to this thing?
