How to access maps for South Africa. For some reason these arent available for download. I've tried the Navdroyd method for generating the osm maps but this method doesnt seem to work.

1. How do I set up so that my gmail comes directly to my phone? Is this possible or do I have to log into gmail through the internet? I have a Vodacom contract (South Africa).
2. Is there a place where I can download the COMPLETE user manual from? All I got with the phone is a quick reference guide, and instructions to view the Help files on the phone. But these are quite small and I can't jump back to them everytime, or print them out.
3. Need some help operating the GPS as well, but if I can get the full manual I'm sure I'll figure it out!
4. I also find that the battery barely lasts 3 days. I haven't even used the internet, made calls or sent sms's yet. I've checked the active applications, and closed everything. It still doesn't help. According to the phone specs the battery is supposed to last 480hours on standby - that's 20 days! I don't expect that but surely it should last for a week.
I imported B Berry Bold 9650 from America and everything worked well with the local network provider for more than a year. On July 25 th my internet connection stopped working. My network provider says they did a network upgrade and all foreign phones are now unable to connect to the internet. They say their is nothing that they can do for me. Just before my ph was disconnected I tried to download the Blackberry App World Version 3.1.4.25 Could this have caused the problem?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to download maps to my Motoactv device. When I click on a particular map on the maps screen, all I get is garbled data (presumably raw image files?). This seems to be the case for any map I select. I've tried right-clicking and saving the map files, however it saves them as *.htm files, which is presumably the wrong format for the device.I'm using IE9 on Windows 7 64-bit.

I'm about to start looking to the internal map files but I thought I'd post it up here to see if anyone else had looked at this.Right now I have my local trails in google earth as paths. I know you can add routes to my motoactv but this doesn't work very well for a complete trail system. And then I have to decide ahead of time which trail I'm going to take that day. I'd much rather just look down and see all the connections wtih my position included on my motoactv.

No matter how I try to access my webpage, the URL changes to [URL] on two different computers. Meanwhile, my daughter can access my webpage on her computer while sitting next to me. I might as well purchased a cheap *** pedometer, if I can't access my webpage!

It stays on Simple Shot Tracking no matter how many times I push detailed. I have tried to do a factory reset as well as checked my software version (1.7.10 N16)
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have owned a Curve 8310, a Bold 9000, and now a Bold 9700. I have never been able to get Maps to work! I am always showing diagonal lines. I am on O2, I am connected to a BES server, other users on my BES can access Maps but I cannot. I know the GPS works as it locates me but the data downloaded always shows 0.0kb and all I have is them annoying diagonal lines.

I my dad recently bought the Nokia N8 after playing about with mine, I recieved the phone unlocked and set about setting it up for him, though i'm having foul problems with the maps! i've installed them, re-installed them, uninstalled and then reinstalled again and no luck, there wasn't even a Maps icon any time it was installed, but on my Nokia N8 when it was installed if went straight onto my home screen? how can I finally download these maps to this phone for my dad? he's starting to become really impatient because he needs to use the maps for his job

I requested a delivery receipt and I eventually got the notification that it failed, but didn't give any reason. I am based in the UK and am sending to a Guinea number. Any tips?

I plugged it into both my desktop and laptop running Windows 7 and it correctly identified the device as LG SU-430 but neither has the driver and as a result, she's unable to charge the phone.
I went to 5 different cell phone stores in a local shopping mall today to see if they have an AC adapter that fits this model but no such luck.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

It has proved impossible to access the maps and despite e.mails and phone calls to Nokia, Carphone Warehouse, and Talk Mobile, no one is able to resolve this problem, or reply to e.mails.I have also spent nearly four hours, in two visits to a branch of Carphone Warehouse, and despite the best efforts of the staff, no one can come up with a solution. Every time I try to connect, I receive " connection failed, please try later," no maps, nothing but empty screens.It would appear that it is impossible for this phone to achieve "what it says on the box."

View 19 Replies View RelatedMy phone has all of the settings sent by the phone company. It will access the internet no problem by going through the browser. However attempting to click on the preinstalled 'store' and 'maps' button starts the programs which then error 'connection failed' connection unavailable'. Clicking on SW updates gives the same error plus "unable to check for updates. Please try later". I haven't updated my phone - not sure how to now the SW updates won't work. Is it just a case of updating the preinstalled software?

Perhaps it's a problem with my unit, but if I wear the MA as a watch, no Bluetooth, no music etc. I have it timed out at 15 secs (makes a boring watch) and the brightness guite low... it never lasts the whole day before I have to recharge it. Seems a bit pointless having a "watch" that runs out of power before the day is through.If you use the MA simply as a watch (ignoring the silly steps counter which can't be turned off!) how long do you get?
