Motorola :: VA76r Possible To Change Application Permissions?
Jan 14, 2010I'm struggling trying to figure out how or if it is possible to change the application permissions on the Motorola VA76r. I use the GMail app, and each time I press refresh it asks me for permission, and gives instructions on how to change them however when I try to change them I'm unable to. The only options I have are to ask, or not allow access at all, the rest are greyed out.

May 10, 2010Is there a tool which can change the ESN via software on an E815? I am replacing mine and I have some working main boards and lots of parts. I want to set the ESN to the same as the original one so I can swap boards at will without going to Verizon. My phones get rough service and 815s are still pretty good and really easy to work on once properly flashed and seemd, except when they wear out or otherwise break.

Nov 20, 2011I just got this phone, and the ringtone won't change. I went to 'Sound' 'Phone ringtone' and I select the one I want, and it selects it okay.. but when someone actually calls, it has this annoying voice saying 'Home is calling' or something like that. It's kind of hard to make out what it's saying, so I find it really annoying. I also put my own music on, and they're not coming up on the list of ringtones.
PS. Does this phone take a while to dial out and recieve calls? I tried calling myself and it took about 10-15 secs to actually hear it ringing.

May 12, 2012I have had my Atrix 2 for two weeks now. But ever since I have been at work. Now im actually getting a chance to play with it. So far only a couple of questions. On every font I have (widgets, text, email, home screen), It shows up as a cursive type. I thought when you purchase a phone it is bold normal type. change this font back to regular bold style. How do you have defualt or normal font? This cursive style is way to hard on the eyes for enjoyment.

Bell and Telus seem to run on the exact same network, but I am unable to get things up and running with them as the Xoom just cant "activate". Feb 25, 2012I live in South Korea, and when the phone installs MOTOCAST, it is in Korean. When I download the MOTOCAST client from the web, it does an IP autodetect and installs the Korean client. As far as I can tell, and I have done a lot of probing, I cannot change the language of the program in the system. There doesn't seem to be a primary options menu at all. My Korean is pretty bad, and this makes this valuable program difficult to use.

Nov 6, 2012I recently updated my Motorola Atrix 2 to the new 4.0.4 OS. Previously, I had my phone set up so that I had to enter a pin # if my phone had been asleep for 30 minutes or more. Otherwise, if less than 30 minutes, turning the phone on (from sleep) went directly to the home screen (no swiping or unlock needed). Under the new OS, I cannot seem to keep this. Now, there is a 2-step unlock process (selecting key icon, and then unlock option -- lock icon -- in order to get to main screen). The only way to avoid this annoying 2-step process (that doesn't really add any security) is to turn off all locks, but I would prefer to have some security (i.e. through pin lock after 30 minutes asleep). Anyway to disable this annoying 2-step/swype feature when turning on phone without disabling all locks? If not, is there anyway to go back to my previous OS?
