it seems as though the edit avatar function will.well..not let me upload my own avatar. LOL, and when I go to search for a picture of the Milestone there are like 476 pictures for Motorola, and it would take a LONG time to scroll though those..So, how do I upload my own avatar?(Or what Page # is the Milestone/Droid avatar picture on?)
View 7 RepliesMy Facebook avatar / square on my phone went from the blue Facebook logo to suddenly importing and using the background picture I have on my FB page. I do not want that. I've delete that FB picture and replaced it with just "black" but still the phone is displaying that old background photo. I've pinned and unpinned and it's still there. I've turned the phone off and on. It's still there.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got this phone, and the ringtone won't change. I went to 'Sound' 'Phone ringtone' and I select the one I want, and it selects it okay.. but when someone actually calls, it has this annoying voice saying 'Home is calling' or something like that. It's kind of hard to make out what it's saying, so I find it really annoying. I also put my own music on, and they're not coming up on the list of ringtones.
PS. Does this phone take a while to dial out and recieve calls? I tried calling myself and it took about 10-15 secs to actually hear it ringing.
I own a French Retail A953 Milestone 2 and I'm looking forward to android 2.3 update. So, after followed the thread [URL]and it's on ! View 3 Replies View Relatedis there anything i can do to improve flash video playback? after the 2.2 update i was excited to be able to use flash on my phone, but video playback on it seems so bad that it's unwatchable.it's like a slideshow at best, and at worse i'm only getting one frame every thirty seconds or so. oddly enough the sound never skips or stutters at all.i've tried it over wifi and 3g. Internet videos in the native app and other non-flash streaming media seem to work perfectly.i'm using the stock browser with flash player 10.2.157.51 (the latest one available in the android market), and i've tried several different videos linked from m.flash.com
View 4 Replies View RelatedI updated my Milestone which is UAE version to Froyo yesterday after a long delay, was really excited all evening until i discovered two problems with my wifi.The Device does not connect to the corporate network as my office uses 802.1x EAP and there is no place to enter proxy where as my friends using samsung galaxy s (Froyo 2.2) connect to the network and browse using the wifi advanced settings to enter the proxy in their device.

But after some minute It restart with a blank screen then reboot to OS and MSU says update failed. My last resort is to flash it via RSDLITE but when im trying to get into bootloader it shows blank screen then reboot to OS. I cant enter to my bootloader.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHave a brand new install of Windows 7 64bit and a 6 month old Milestone 2 which has always succesfully connected to PC/Mac in USB mass storage mode, but when trying to connect to new Windows & PC the PC tries to install MTP drivers that fail.Solution is to select the failed device in device manager and manually install the driver selecting the device as a USB mass storage device and not the default MTP device.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter spending 2 hours on the forums and 2 hrs on motorola website, downloading the motorola software update and finding that the updater says that your phone is up to date with 2.1 (where as the motorola site says 2.2 is now available) and browsing thru unending discussions, I was unable to update my Motorola milestone to Android 2.2. I last week sent my phone to the service center to ask them to update it to 2.2, they returned the phone saying it is up to date.I am sick of removing applications and always worrying about the remaining ROM availability. View 2 Replies View RelatedI can't get an image to appear for me in Hangouts SMS. I'm referring to the user image on the right side of the screen during conversations/threads. It just shows the generic person graphic.
If I send a txt to myself then the left-side avatar (the sender) shows up correctly (my Google+ profile image), but the right-side image is still the generic one.
At first I thought this was due to me not having an image assigned in the top part of "My local profile" when I open myself up in the People app. I assigned myself a photo but still nothing appears (after a reboot). (I did note that on the N4 there was nothing assigned to that image option either, and SMS simply used my Google+ image.)
It happened with 5.0.2, it happens now with 5.1.1. Owner avatar is not shown even if it's set. Tested after repair with PC companion.

Trying out Milestone in home. Keeps disconnecting from wifi have to keep checking it and reconnecting. Btw, is there an app that gives a wifi symbol at the top of the screen? Wifi works perfectly with my laptop.

Screen shows some lines n then when i press the screen lock button the screen goes black and the shortcut screen still glows.Phone recieves the call and if i press the volume button it correctly vibrates and beeps. I have tried formatting, flashing from the service centre everything. The people here in service centre are dumb. They say that the fone have problem in flex, but My phone used to work fine when I had 2.1.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an unlocked motorola milestile that I just bought about 2 weeks ago and had it unlocked for bell. Anyways, recently bell called me saying that I owe them about $250 for tethering my phone, I apparently used about 15mb by tethering. I got pissed and told them I never did that and they said the best they could do is reduce the bill to $100, I took what I could get.
After talking with them, I realized that I always connected my phone to my computer in order to recharge it during the night (it's more convenient and safer then using the wall jack, the wall jacks are in places people can step on my phone). I figured I must have been accidentally tethering with it.Anyways, I still wanna use my computer to recharge the phone when it needs recharging. So how do I disable the tethering to make sure this doesn't happen again? Also, is there a good way for me to confirm that tethering is disabled?
I've tried several times but the message I'm sending with the photo seems to just hang with the timer symbol to the right of the message. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if there's another step I'm leaving out.
