I would like to know if there is a way to disable the notifications that came on the electrify so that I can use the missed calls app instead. The apps seem to fight each other. This is my first android so I am very new to this,
View 10 RepliesThe stock SMS program is so devoid of features like being able to set font size, text notification vibrate quality, and the look of the interface that it's really useless to me.I have both Handcent and Chomp installed as alternates, but am currently using Handcent which is rich with tweakable features.Even after disabling "notification" from the messaging app, I am still getting popups from the stock sms app whenever a text is received.

Notification keeps popping up from task manager saying app has been running for 45 min.. Have to choose yes or no to close notification. I put app on and want to stop that notification or disable task manager. I have unchecked notifications in settings in task manager. That did not stop pop up notification.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've used exclusively Google Voice for voicemails, and not the VZW service, for over 6 months. I figure all VZW voicemails are cleared out by now. But still, the little "tape" icon is displayed in the notification banner. When I enter the voicemail app, I see that I do have one voicemail. Also, the green LED blinks incessantly sometimes (but sometimes not??). I think the voicemail notification and LED blinking are related.Is there any way to disable notifications for the VZW voicemail, both the notification icon and/or the LED blinking? The Menu button has no effect in the voicemail app, and I don't see any applicable setting in the phone's Settings menu.Or, is there some way to clear/empty/disable my VZW voice mailbox without deactivating Google voicemail for my phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to start a discussion to see how many people have this rare error and to get any insight on how it comes about. Since I got my phone in early January, I have been having a random "error code" (I don't know what else to call it) in my pull-down notifications tab. Where it is supposed to say "U.S. Cellular" at the bottom middle of the screen, it will sometimes be replaced with "31000". I don't know what is causing it and every time I think to take a screenshot, it won't be there. I haven't found anything else wrong with the phone, so I don't think it is effecting anything either. I went to the Service Center in my hometown and this was only the second time they had seen this happen (which is pretty rare as I live in Tulsa and they have an abundance of U.S. Cellular customers). They told me it was a very rare software error, not to worry about it, and that it will hopefully be fixed in the next update. I was just wondering if the Mods had any knowledge of this "error" and if it has been resolved. I also wanted to see if anyone else has had this error.

I check my google calendar which is syncing fine and see all of my past appointements, however they are gone from the phone. Additionally, even though my google calendar is scheduled out for the entire year, my phone calendar stops at December 15th, 2012.

I've tranferred the files to both Mac and PC and neither have worked. View 2 Replies View RelatedIam a Uscc agent and I have a customer with the electrify and their phone is dying within a couple of hours and only sending a couple of text messages and making one phone call I have given a battery swap and checked the phone for any bad apps but there were no additional applications installed and settings do not seem out of place and compared it to mine that I have abd everything matches and mine lasts me an entire day of heavy use. I am just wondering if there is anything else that could be draining the battery or a way to fix it?

Needless to say, the piano app that I use.( for jotting down quick ideas, I am a music director at my church and a songwriter) is nearly unusable because piano often uses more than two fingers. I know that the hacking community has been able to enable up to 8 points if multitouch. Is this going to be enabled for this phone? I would hate to get rid of it since I love everything else about it, and have no problems at all with any functionality. ( aside from that whole pesky multitouch thing).

If I read the text using Crunch, the notification for Crunch disappears but the regular sms notification stays there until i check the message in my regular sms box. View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have 2 calendars, my personal gmail calendar, and my work (exchange) calendar. I like the gmail calendar to have a certain notification sound, and I like the work calendar to use another.
I also use Microsoft's Outlook app for my work email and calendar, and set those notification sounds how I want them.
What happens is if I have a work calendar notification popup, I get the right notification and sound from the Outlook app, but then I also get a notification and wrong sound (it uses the gmail calendar sound) from the Android calendar app.
I know I could just disable the work calendar within the Android calendar app, but I want it in there because I have a widget set up that shows my agenda from both my personal and work calendars. If I removed the work calendar, it would leave the widget.
So I don't know if all that was confusing or not, but here is what I want: Personal gmail account calendar notifications from Android calendar appWork exchange account calendar notifications from Outlook calendar app. Both personal gmail calendar and exchange calendar set up in Android calendar app so I can see them both in my agenda widget
What I don't want is when a work event occurs, is to get 2 notifications about it using 2 different notification sounds. I only want to be notified from the Outlook calendar app.
disable notifications (mainly the audio ones, but the status bar ones as well would be nice!) On Delivery Reports. I've just moved to the HD from the Desire and was able to have Delivery Reports enabled and not get any annoying notifications! If I wanted to see a report in just held on the message and tapped 'view report' from the menu, but on the HD, enabling Delivery Reports causes an audio and visual notification to happen, like a new message has come in. This is a real pain in the ass and is fast becoming a deal breaker for me as I like to have Delivery Reports on.
