Jan 9, 2012On both Pandora and slacker radio my songs are randomly "skipping" as if I was hitting the skip button. They might play for 5secs or the whole song. The only time the problem goes away is when I'm out of skips! Between that and the awful wifi that cuts out just as randomly, its rather unlistenable. I stream music all day at work, and I've started just using 3g because it doesn't cut out like the wifi, but its eating data and still skips. If I don't find fixes to these issues this phone is going on craigslist... I got it assuming it would out perform my mesmerize which so far it does not.(at least for audio) Also, the streaming audio glitches out every time I press the top hard button.

Dec 5, 2011Was working fine before the update. Rarely locked up, maybe rebooted on its own once, ever.Today, I am simply listening to music, and the phone keeps stopping out of the blue and reboots. Happening on local music (played w/Meridian app), Rhapsody, and Pandora. Pandora was the only app I'd installed since the update, and thought maybe it'd caused problems, so it's been uninstalled.Re-seated SD card, pulled batt. a few times, still randomly rebooting.

Feb 1, 2013I want to start a discussion to see how many people have this rare error and to get any insight on how it comes about. Since I got my phone in early January, I have been having a random "error code" (I don't know what else to call it) in my pull-down notifications tab. Where it is supposed to say "U.S. Cellular" at the bottom middle of the screen, it will sometimes be replaced with "31000". I don't know what is causing it and every time I think to take a screenshot, it won't be there. I haven't found anything else wrong with the phone, so I don't think it is effecting anything either. I went to the Service Center in my hometown and this was only the second time they had seen this happen (which is pretty rare as I live in Tulsa and they have an abundance of U.S. Cellular customers). They told me it was a very rare software error, not to worry about it, and that it will hopefully be fixed in the next update. I was just wondering if the Mods had any knowledge of this "error" and if it has been resolved. I also wanted to see if anyone else has had this error.

I check my google calendar which is syncing fine and see all of my past appointements, however they are gone from the phone. Jan 22, 2012Iam a Uscc agent and I have a customer with the electrify and their phone is dying within a couple of hours and only sending a couple of text messages and making one phone call I have given a battery swap and checked the phone for any bad apps but there were no additional applications installed and settings do not seem out of place and compared it to mine that I have abd everything matches and mine lasts me an entire day of heavy use. I am just wondering if there is anything else that could be draining the battery or a way to fix it?

Nov 17, 2011Testing the multi touch functionality of my phone, to my dismay, shows acknowledgement of two points of contact. Needless to say, the piano app that I use.( for jotting down quick ideas, I am a music director at my church and a songwriter) is nearly unusable because piano often uses more than two fingers. I know that the hacking community has been able to enable up to 8 points if multitouch. Is this going to be enabled for this phone? I would hate to get rid of it since I love everything else about it, and have no problems at all with any functionality. ( aside from that whole pesky multitouch thing).

Dec 1, 2012My question is about the circles widget. It is beyond frustration to me that it takes what seems like hours to update the weather. Even after touching the weather circle and it displaying the weather app, it still will typically not update. Maybe it's just me, but I see zero use in having a widget that tells me the weather from 2 hours ago. It is also incredibly annoying to be driving to work, the sun has been out shining bright for an hour and a half, it's 50-60F degrees outside, and I unlock the phone to see an image of the night sky and the moon, and a temp of 30F.
I would have more forgiveness if this was some random widget I downloaded from the Play store, but this came installed with the phone, created by Motorola, designed for my device. For the time being, I have actually removed it from the main screen because it has just become frustrating and I am tired of constantly tapping on the weather and hoping it will update. There doesn't even seem to be a refresh option once the weather opens. What I would really like, and what I have not found, is a way to change the frequency in which the weather is updated. Setting the location statically versus automatic doesn't seem to have an effect either. I am in an area with great signal, 4-5 bars, and always with LTE, otherwise I have WiFi, so it's not a network connection issue. It's not like I want it to update all the time while the phone is off either (and risk draining the battery), but when I unlock the phone, that seems like a good time for the widget to check and see if it's been more than X minutes since it last updated (X being the number I can configure).

All I can find on this is to go through the Music app, but that doesn't see any of the ringtones from the apps. Are there certain ringtone apps that work only with the Electrify? The apps themselves don't appear to have a way to download. All I've been able to do is listen to the sound. I had a Samsung Galaxy before this and it was so easy for me to get ringtones.
