I have just downloaded and went to install the newest iphone update, and it keeps going around in cirlces. Down loading the update saying I my phone is in restore mode. So I hit restore then it goes to download the update again. Then it starts all over

My circle widget freezes and crashes after a period of time since the new update. I had not had this problem earlier. I have to stop the process with System Panel and the widget restarts.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy question is about the circles widget. It is beyond frustration to me that it takes what seems like hours to update the weather. Even after touching the weather circle and it displaying the weather app, it still will typically not update. Maybe it's just me, but I see zero use in having a widget that tells me the weather from 2 hours ago. It is also incredibly annoying to be driving to work, the sun has been out shining bright for an hour and a half, it's 50-60F degrees outside, and I unlock the phone to see an image of the night sky and the moon, and a temp of 30F.
I would have more forgiveness if this was some random widget I downloaded from the Play store, but this came installed with the phone, created by Motorola, designed for my device. For the time being, I have actually removed it from the main screen because it has just become frustrating and I am tired of constantly tapping on the weather and hoping it will update. There doesn't even seem to be a refresh option once the weather opens. What I would really like, and what I have not found, is a way to change the frequency in which the weather is updated. Setting the location statically versus automatic doesn't seem to have an effect either. I am in an area with great signal, 4-5 bars, and always with LTE, otherwise I have WiFi, so it's not a network connection issue. It's not like I want it to update all the time while the phone is off either (and risk draining the battery), but when I unlock the phone, that seems like a good time for the widget to check and see if it's been more than X minutes since it last updated (X being the number I can configure).
My husband has a LG G3 and has noticed that in the call log each call has a different color circle next to the name and number..some are purple, some are tan with white stripes, and still others are tan....what does this mean?

View 4 Replies View RelatedBasically I never get any notification of app updates, not do they update automatically. I have to go into app store regularly, then to updates and thereafter it shows the updates available, and shows the badge on the app store logo (ie red 3 for three new updates).
I've tried logging out of the current apple ID, powering off, on, putting apple ID back, no difference.
Tried turning off automatic updates, powering off, on, putting it back on, no difference (it's currently set in obviously).
Also difficult yo test as each time I need to wait for new updates to be issues to see if it works or not.

I've just upgraded iTunes and am trying to update to iOS5.1.1 and keep getting the message saying the update will delete all the apps etc, to preserve content apply the update on the computer where you sync apps, music etc. The thing is this is the computer where I sync everything, when I plug the phone in it autosyncs just fine.

I don't have Internet at home and I've been trying to update to 4.1 manually... But it wont let me! I direct downloaded the correct file, then plugged in my iPhone. I selected the device in itunes10 and the. Held down "option" and clicked "update" I selected the downloaded file and it looked like everything was working. But, then it said that it couldn't install the update because it couldn't reach the apple update server... Isn't that the point? So t doesn't need to hit the server?

I have an iPhone 4 that will not update to the 5.1 update. I stopped my firewall on my MacBook Pro, I went direct into the internet box, bypassing the wireless router and it still will not update on my iTunes. I also tried to update the phone through the general settings by hooking up to power and using the Netgear wireless router, but it also said it could not hook up. I have been doing this for days now. I am out of options and I have done everything that I see others have talked about. I would hate to do a hard reset of my phone and loose everything.

a couple of days ago I tried to do an update on my W995a via the SEUS program (latest version used, downloaded the day I did the update), It got to about 90% then stopped and stayed at 90% for about 2 - 4 minutes then it came up with Update Failed, I've retried the process a few times and all have failed, I've used the repair feature in the PC Suite program to try to fix the phone but it fails about about 90% as well, I had no issues or software glitches with the phone before attempting the Update. The phone now will not load the OS but instead just sits there with the keypad lights on. Is there a solution to this problem? As this is my main phone and the SEUS program has broken it.

View 9 Replies View RelatedFinally the ICS update has become available for my phone (SI 1253-7151) -PC Companion pops up a message about the new update. If I click "Update", PC Companion starts downloading the update, finishes the download and says "Preparing computer for program updates".
Then it proceeds to "Unable to install or start components for update of phone system" and my phone does not get updated.Then I have tried Sony Update Service, but now I can't even start it properly; the program crashes right after opening it. It just says "Synchronizing" and then "An unexpected error has occured. The application will shut down." so I never get any possibility to see why.Again, my phone does not get updated. Since both programs crash there must be a serious problem with the downloaded files (and they're probably shared between the programs?).Apparently I'm not the only one experiencing it; I can see in a Norwegian forum that other people have the same problem - and in the original thread that you have hidden (!).

Today my JB'd 3G on 3.1.2 went into a funky state and I attempted to reboot. Since then I've been stuck on the Apple logo at start up and nothing.
So, i put the phone in DFU mode and Itunes 9 is giving me the option to "Update & Restore", HOWEVER, I dont want to do this because I want to stay on 3.1.2 for obvious reasons. I also have been reading stuff about SHSH but I have no clue what this is so one can assume I never did anything prior regarding SHSH.
When itunes has the pop up on the screen saying "update and restore" can I hold "shift and click "update&restore" to choose a 312 ipsw, or is that option only available if restoring without being in DFU mode.

I'm base in Sydney Australia and have just received a msg from Nokia that I can update my firmware for my N900.(firmware version 10.2010.19.)The problem is that I receive a message that I could not update because of: poor-quality ,slow or intermittent internet connection. This could also be because of problems with our servers. Is it that NSU does not support N900 and if so why would Nokia sell a phone and not provide software to update the phone with.
