All of the sudden I am no longer getting mirror display or any of the other options when I dock of the phone. Thus I am getting no output to my tv screen.
View 6 RepliesIs it possible to do HDMI mirroring to the Laptop dock? I'm guessing you'd need a mini HDMI to mini HDMI (male to male) cable and a mini HDMI female to female adapter to be able to plug into just the HDMI port on the Laptop dock.
Gaming full screen via Webtop is just too laggy. At least it is on my Atrix.
When I plug the phone into the USB port on my PC it charges. When I plug the Multimedia dock into the PC and dock my phone it does not.I moved from the Droid1 to the Droid4 and have a dock from my Droid1 that works as it should. The new Multimedia dock for my Droid 4 will not charge the phone while docked unless I plug it into the dedicated charging plug. Doing this, I lose the ability to transfer data back and forth via USB.

I thought the cradle software was supposed to automatically mute those notification sounds, but there must be something I've not set right somewhere. Anyone know how to fix it?

It doesn't seem to recognize that I have plugged a USB cable from the dock to my PC? What I wanted to do, was use it in the USB Mass Storage mode just like I do with a cable--nice fast file transfers, using the file explorer on my PC...
I have a Droid X which has the Gingerbread update received OTA. I do not know if this is a Gingerbread issue, I just know it started recently.
When I put my phone in the Motorola Multimedia Dock (SPN5612A) my phone rapidly cycles between charging and not charging. It constantly flashes the "Disconnected" message which advises that I unplug the power adaptor to save the Earth. Power cycling the phone does not change this behavior.
I have taken the plug from the back of the dock and plugged it directly into my phone and the phone charges normally, so I know it has something to do with the multimedia dock. I also use the Motorola Car Dock (don't know model #) and my phone charges fine there, as well as with several different power adaptors, including one from my old HTC Droid Eris.
I just upgraded from the original droid and I am a little frustrated by the DroidX2.While the phone is docked, the notification sound is randomly (seemingly) going off, multiple times thoughout the night. I have the button unchecked for notification of full charge and I am on my second piece of hardware. Does anyone know how to stop the random notification sounds?

View 7 Replies View RelatedPurchased the Navigation Dock few weeks ago and at first the dock worked great with a few modifications to my phone case. I would place it in the dock and Car mode came up instantly and it would start charging. I noticed after about 2 weeks it took more pusing down to get it to recognize. I since got a TPU case, which is thinner and the issue is even worse. I even tried to remove it from the case with the adapter and I have to shove it down hard and even then it takes several tries.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm probably going to have to take this in to the local US Cellular store to see if they can figure out what is going on. I tried sending texts to three different individuals this morning and all are not going through. Initially I was using Go SMS Pro as my default SMS program. Thinking something may be messed up with that program, I switched my default SMS program to the phone's Text Messaging program. Still cannot send or receive any messages. I am on a business plan (which my wife is on as well). She is receiving and sending texts fine. I tried sending her a test text, and it tells me "Message Not Sent". I had her send a test text to me. It shows that it sends fine on her end, but I never get anything.
Is there any error log I can look at to see what's going on? I have powered my phone off and on 3 times already this morning and that hasn't fixed the issue. Any suggestions or am I just going to have to take it in? I hate doing that because they're just going to do a Factory Reset I'm sure since they aren't too good on the technical side of things.
Ran into a new problem this morning, Took my electrify off the charger and turned it on and it started up but the display will not light up. The buttons at the bottom all light up and it looks like there is a back light that is on, (if you look at the screen from the side you can see like a back light) and the green indicator light is flashing.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWondering if anyone else if experiencing this. I've replaced it in the mm dock several times and it is so dim I can barely see it. I have tried setting the display brightness to max and setting it to auto with no effect.I've set the night mode brightness on the mm dock setting to as bright as it can get with no change. BTW it is 1:30 in the afternoon. Interesting that at night when it should be dim it is as bright as it can be. Checked the clock and the DX2 knows the correct time.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIam a Uscc agent and I have a customer with the electrify and their phone is dying within a couple of hours and only sending a couple of text messages and making one phone call I have given a battery swap and checked the phone for any bad apps but there were no additional applications installed and settings do not seem out of place and compared it to mine that I have abd everything matches and mine lasts me an entire day of heavy use. I am just wondering if there is anything else that could be draining the battery or a way to fix it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought the Atrix just for the docks (I have the car and lapdock) and after spending that much money I expect better from Motorola. I've updated to gingerbread if that help. The car dock hasn't rebooted the phone as much as the lapdock does but my lapdock is now useless.
View 6 Replies View RelatedToday I woke up and it said a photo sharing cable was plugged in and there was nothing plugged into it. So I restarted my phone and then it wouldn't keep any app open for more than 5 seconds and it would exit out of it and didn't let me use the back button but the left one and the home button still worked. It also keeps saying the dock is connected when it isn't and when I tried charging it it kept not charging after a couple of seconds. Restarted again and this problem continued and then my phone said it was overheating but it wasn't even hot and it would turn off and now every time I turn on the phone within 5 minutes it says it is overheating and shuts down but it is cool as a cucumber.
Also it won't let me charge it because the battery is "too hot" and it's only at 30% so should I take it back to verizon?
I've been using the universal dock for almost 2 years with my iPhone 5 (using a genuine adapter from 30pin to lightening) and everything was ok.
a week ago I've opened the iPhone to switch the flex cable because the on/off button barely worked and also switched the battery with a new one, everything was genuine and now the dock refuses to work
it does charges the iPhone but the remote doesn't work and the audio doesn't go to the speakers connected to the dock, it get out of the iPhone speaker.

The multimedia key on my Nokia N79 is broken (nr 3 in the picture). My plan was to map the 'multimedia menu' functionality on the left selection key (nr 2). But the 'multimedia menu' doesn't appear in the list of possible mappings. It is also impossible to reach the 'multimedia menu' via the normal menu.
Conclusion: if the multimedia key is broken, it appears that it is impossible to use the 'multimedia menu'
Does anyone know a workaround? Or, if Nokia is reading this, can you add the 'multimedia menu' to the mapping-options for the selection keys?
Testing the multi touch functionality of my phone, to my dismay, shows acknowledgement of two points of contact. Needless to say, the piano app that I use.( for jotting down quick ideas, I am a music director at my church and a songwriter) is nearly unusable because piano often uses more than two fingers. I know that the hacking community has been able to enable up to 8 points if multitouch. Is this going to be enabled for this phone? I would hate to get rid of it since I love everything else about it, and have no problems at all with any functionality. ( aside from that whole pesky multitouch thing).
