Motorola :: Trouble Downloading From The Android Market?

Mar 3, 2010

I wasnt able to start the market app for 5 days on the phone because the account that was tied to my Milestone was deleted from my Google Apps domain. You have to wait 5 days to reinstate an account with the same name.

So... 5 days later, I can bring up the market app, and search, but when I try to download I get a generic "Download of xxxxxxxx was unsuccessful, try again later". Anyone else having issues? Anyone have any ideas? From what I can tell everything else seems to be ok. I can get mail from my domain account and my gmail account as well as my exchange account.

I get this error with wifi on, wifi off, free apps, paid apps..... I have been able to download them before. If I look in the markets at "downloads", the only thing it shows I have downloaded in Google Maps, but I have download about 8 other apps.

Motorola Photon 4G :: Market Apps Not Downloading?

Dec 5, 2011

Any app I try to download wont download. It just has a continuous downloading status but never actually downloads. Has anyone seen this problem before? I spoke to a sprint rep and she did a refresh but the same problem still persists. I even restarted the phone but still have the same issue. My internet and everything else works. The rep told me I can do a factory reset to see if that will fix the problem. I will take it to a sprint store but wanted to see if anyone else had this problem and fixed it without doing a hard reset.

Motorola Droid Bionic :: Market Weirdness After .902

Feb 13, 2012

Took a couple minutes, but 4G just blanked out to white bars for the duration, until it reconnected. Both times the browser said "No Data Connection".As far as the Market goes, I urge everyone to check their apps, and scroll all the way down to see if you have anything listed under the "Not Installed" section of the market apps.We have two Bionics.. mine only shows 1 app under that section. It lists "VCAST Music" as Not Installed. When you click it, the option is to just "Download". I figure this app was bumped out after the .902 update, that's fine. Just wish it wasn't on the list of my Market Apps as Not Installed all the time. Now my wife's bionic has many more apps listed under the Not Installed section: VZ Navigator for Bionic, Amazon MP3, Street view on Google Maps, VCAST Music, and Videos (by google, inc.) - all listed under "Not installed".

I clicked on the Navigator, and it allowed me to update that. It vanished from that list and went into the Installed section. As for the other apps listed there, there is no option to install, uninstall, or update.. only "Open" ..so they are actually installed even though they are listed under the Not installed section.Of course I closed the Market, cleared the cache, etc. They will not leave that section. When I sign into the Market direct from PC Browser they are listed there as Installed.I tried to uninstall Google Maps updates and reinstall, but the Street View addon remains under Not Installed.Markets on both phones were always wacked out even before .893 and the intial release. Sometimes it would list 60 apps installed, 58 apps, 59 apps, whatever it felt like when checking for Market Updates over different days of the week. Now it seems stable with the same # of apps listed as installed everytime I check, but just those important ones listed under Not Installed are a little annoying. or will this just work itself out when the developers push an updated version of those apps.I do not want to factory reset yet again. Both phones seem to be running normal even with this little issue.

Android has been a long for a long time now. New market and everything, yet there is still no way for the Android Market to reliably and consistently recover apps? Motorola Droid :: Old Version Of Market After Factory Reset

Dec 8, 2011

did a factory reset due to the market kept insisting I had updates, and when I go to maket none were available. And I got tired of doing this So I did the factory reset. This is the second time I have done this task. Last time it was a breeze, and once done all the apps I had prior automatically re-downloaded of their own. Didn't happen this time, and that is no biggy,But what is bothering me is I still have the old version of the market. At least it works, but it has been a little over 24 hours since I did the reset...shouldnt the latest version of market been made available to me by now?

How to I delete apps that i have downloaded and uninstalled in the past. I had a update notification for some of the Razr apps and i see old apps that i have uninstalled when i had my Samsung Vibrant. Do they stay there indefinitely even though there uninstalled and not running?

I have like 15 updates already. Is there a way to delete Netflix? I'm guessing only the Downloaded apps that are in "Applications" can be deleted right?

Motorola Droid X :: Market, Gtalk Unavailable After Factory Reset

Oct 15, 2011

I was having a flickering backlight issue with my droid X so as part of the process of troubleshooting it, I did a factory reset. Good news is that the flickering backlight issue seems to be gone but now I have other more important issues.

During the activation process I successfully signed into my google account and it synched my contacts, my gmail, my calendar etc. Then I received a warning notification that signing to Gtalk authentication had failed. Also, when I try to download an app from the market, it will not download. Nor will downloads start initiated by installing them from the web front market.

I've noticed that neither my cell reception indicator nor my 3G/wifi icons on the notification bar are blue. They are just white. They usually were blue before the factory reset. I've read that this could indicate that Android is still synching my phone after the reset but its been a few hours now and it wont go blue

Motorola Droid X :: Android Market Only Showing 7 Installed Apps Out Of Dozens

May 2, 2011

I just opened the Market to see whether any apps of mine needed updating and "My apps" shows that I have only 7 apps installed--and that doesn't include Gmail, Google Voice, Google Search, etc. I realize that this may be unrelated to Motorola or the Droid X, but you never know. Just thought I'd ask to see if anyone else is noticing this. Perhaps Google is in the process of updating the Android Market?

Motorola Droid Bionic :: Apps Not Downloading

Dec 21, 2011

I activated my phone 3 hours ago. Browser works fine in 4g mode. I have been unable to download a single app from the market. Every app I try returns, "Download was unsuccessful, please try again." I have turned the phone off and on again, no luck. I have checked my google synch to make sure it's working, all 4 categories synch (i am also receiving my emails.) I have gone into settings and checked "data saver." It was off by default. I turned it on, went to the market, and attempted to download an app. It said something to the effect of "your app will be qued for download." Before I could even return to settings to turn off data saver and see if it worked, I received the same error message (download was unsucessful, please try again." I have tried this with multiple apps, including both apps I had on my previous phone and apps I have never downloaded before. In "my apps" it shows the two apps I purchased on my previous device, but none of the free ones.

With the Turbo you can't do a select all to delete so it's one at a time or check all and then hit delete. I can't keep doing this. I've checked email settings and I see nothing where I can get this to stop.
