View 1 RepliesI've been trying to take advantage of googles 10p app promotion but it seems that for any app I buy I get stuck at the "starting download" screen. This is the first time I've tried buying an app and its just not working. I can download free apps from the Market just fine, its just the paid apps that are giving me grief! I've googled about and tried the "clear cache" from Market app and "clear data" from download manager but it just doesn't work!
Rooted GS2 on standard O2 firmware connecting via wifi.
Anyone having trouble with Android Market downloads?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI wasnt able to start the market app for 5 days on the phone because the account that was tied to my Milestone was deleted from my Google Apps domain. You have to wait 5 days to reinstate an account with the same name.
So... 5 days later, I can bring up the market app, and search, but when I try to download I get a generic "Download of xxxxxxxx was unsuccessful, try again later". Anyone else having issues? Anyone have any ideas? From what I can tell everything else seems to be ok. I can get mail from my domain account and my gmail account as well as my exchange account.
I get this error with wifi on, wifi off, free apps, paid apps..... I have been able to download them before. If I look in the markets at "downloads", the only thing it shows I have downloaded in Google Maps, but I have download about 8 other apps.
I can't download anything from Android market. If I click install a message appears "Download was unsuccessful. Please try again".

View 11 Replies View RelatedAny app I try to download wont download. It just has a continuous downloading status but never actually downloads. Has anyone seen this problem before? I spoke to a sprint rep and she did a refresh but the same problem still persists. I even restarted the phone but still have the same issue. My internet and everything else works. The rep told me I can do a factory reset to see if that will fix the problem. I will take it to a sprint store but wanted to see if anyone else had this problem and fixed it without doing a hard reset.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAndExplorer discovered a .data folder on my SD card that contains htcGreader and hundreds of unknown jpgs. Google search claims htcgreader is an reader, but this doesn't fit what I'm seeing. There also a sub folder called .feedicons which I deleted yest eve but both folders have reappeared overnight and populated. The jpgs are thumbnails of mobile phone ads, afghan rebels, people generally, or unknown news items. But as they're downloading automatically and I've no idea of content, its a concern.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy phone prompted me to upgrade to 4.1.83 and when I said ok, there is a notification icon saying "Download will start when connected to a WiFi network". So I connected to a WiFi network, the download did not start. Gave it some time, switched WiFi on and off a couple of times, powered off/on the phone a couple of times, still do not see it starting to download. I also tried to download some apps from android market place (on wifi) works fine, but the software update never starts. Or Is there a way to manually get the 4.1.83 update to update from 4.1.57 and load it to the phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a big problem with my Xperia Z3, I i am using lollipop 5.0.2 . It worked fine with no issue until yesterday when I restart my xperia z3 it just keep on restarting . I switched it off and the on again.
Now its stuck at” Android upgrading, starting apps” all the time and it keeps restarting. I have tried to soft –reset nothing is happening. I have reached at a level to lose everything in the phone especially my contacts by deciding to do a hard/factory reset but still I cant do that using volume up or down. I am totally stuck. How to get rid of this. I cant get into recovery mode coz nothing is happening when I press key combination.
I just got my new X8 almost two weeks now, and was finally able to update to 2.1. However, I cannot download any apps from the Android Market, as they just get stuck at the "Starting download" phase. I'm using a WiFi connection, and the browser works just fine so it's not a connectivity issue. I've factory reset the phone several times, uninstalled Android Market and cleared its cache countless times, and the downloads still stay stuck.

"Downloading update... Waiting for download

6P is connected to Verizon mobile hotspot wifi. Verizon wifi speed more than 6Mbps, ping 60 ms (tested from Dolphin browser without data compression)
The 6P Wi-Fi list indicates
Status- Connected
Signal strength- Excellant
Link speed- 72Mbps
Frequency- 2.4 GHz
Security- WPA2 PSK
The 6P phone "Update phone" screen proves internet access by connecting to Google terms of service and privacy policy web pages and allowing web page links to work. Even able to navigate to the Google search/sign in page from the 6P "Update phone" screen, but can't sign in because no keyboard pop up.
Verified the wifi network works for all my other devices. Tried forgetting/rescaning wifi network many times, tried with and without the Google Fi sim card many times, tried wiping cache, factory reset, and recovery modes many times. Tried leaving the 6P connected to the Verizon mobile hotspot for more than 15 hours. Tried the Fi LTE.
After more than 25 restart/initialization attempts, only the previously mentioned web pages display on the 6P "Update phone" screen, on wifi or LTE.
I am trying to flash 4.4.3 to my N5, but fashboot flash command is stuck at "sending.." and the fastboot screen is stuck at "downloading..." If I hold the power button to reboot the phone then it boots fine.

My phone ran out of battery so I put it on charge, as normal. Upon returning to my phone 30 minutes later it was on a bright, light blue / green screen that said "Factory Mode" in the top left corner and "Downloading - Do Not Turn Off Target" in the centre. I left this for an hour as I couldn't do anything, and it is still the same? Can't even turn the device off, or on.
I've not even had the phone a month, only have a handful of social media apps and last used it to take photos. Phone ran out of battery again. Rebooted after a charge and it is fine.
After downloading "iTunes app" my iPhone 4 only shows a "plug to iTunes" and I cannot do anything else. How can I restart my phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know my way around PC hardware and OS's.My problem sarted when I went to the T-mobile update. Phone stuck on "downloading update...", blue text on white background. Unable to boot into recovery, but was able to get into download mode. I found the correct ICS firmware update .tar file, but Odin 1.85 will not work. It always sticks on Setup Connection. Others fixed this by using differnt USB port and/or cable. Tried all 10 USB ports, nada; don't have another cable, but I'm out to get one this morning. I assume if I can get to download mode I'm not totally bricked. Only way I can get into d/l mode is to remove the battery, otherwise phone just boots to white update screen.I'm looking at a $200 brick! Wonder if I should just walk in to a T-mobile outlet and demand a fix.
