My AOL mail will not sync on my droid razr maxx hd. It had not synced for 2 days, I deleted the account, when I tried to add it again it will not connect to the server.
View 4 RepliesThe Verizon Sales assistant assured me that I'd be able to Sync my Outlook with my Droid Razr as easily as I synced it with my old Blackberry Tour. Now, after several days' worth of set-up, google searches, forum searches and FAQ's, I'm come to the conclusion that Motorola did NOT build this function into the Droid Razr, and I have to pay a hefty fee for a decent 3rd-party app to do what my Blackberry did for free. Have I missed something?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using the Razr Maxx for just about a week now, and the push mail on my iMap account does not sync consistently. Sometimes it works fine, but usually mail just doesn't get pushed. When this happens, toggling the Background Data option seems to re-start the sync process, and the mails start coming in. However, after a while, it just gets stuck again. At first I thought that the trigger might be a disconnect from the network. especially during a drop from 3G to 2G, but it fails even if the network connection is stable. The POP accounts which are on a fetch-schedule work just fine.Suggestions for third-party clients such as K9 and MailDroid are fine, but these do not integrate with the Universal Inbox widget, which I feel is a great tool, especially since it combines text messaging, FaceBook and Twitter all in one.

I guess my question would be is there a problem with yahoo servers or is motorola and yahoo just not playing nice? I keep getting emails in triplicate and Im not sure what causes it. Some days it will work just fine and I'll get my email correctly and other times I wake up with like 30 emails but there will be just repeat messages in triplicate.

Motorola's support section says that Optimum recommends using a browser to access mobile email (what???? I have to go get it??? It won't come to me???) but then provides the settings to use in the email app. Using auto configuration, I'm receiving my email in seconds, but I can't send email from the phone. I've tried to configure it manually (the automatic configuration provides the wrong name for the outgoing server) but so far, no combination of settings has resulted in my ability to send an email from optimum on my Droid Razr.

View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen setting up your Gmail in the stock email app to use it that way or take advantage of the Universal Inbox you should do it this way.
1. if you set it up already by My Accounts > Add Account > Email Accounts > Gmail then you need to delete that account
2. go to My Accounts > Add Account > Email Accounts > Other
3. use the following:
Incoming Settings
IMAP server: imap.gmail.com
Port: 993
Security type: SSL (always)
Outgoing settings
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
Security type: SSL (always)
this will now work as it should.the problem was that if you set it up with Gmail selected instead of Other then when you checked an email on the RAZR it would not show as Read on your Gmail account and same with Sent folder etc...
I have recently downloaded the new Yahoo mail app and after doing so I no longer receive a notification that I have received an email. I use light flow and it is set up properly for all other notifications.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince using ICS on my RazrMaxx When checking email it takes forever (ok 4-8 minutes) to connect and check the mail. It is a gmail based email set up under messaging. Battery Life has dropped dramatically. No universal volume controls for messaging and calls (For example if I want to adjust my phone ringtone to be very soft by using the rocker switch on the side it now only controls just the phone ringer. Messaging would still be at the volume you have the settings at. Previously the rocker switch controlled all volume.)

View 2 Replies View Relatedi cant seem to sync my fb contacts.i entered my fb email/pass into the accounts appit said it was ok, but no contacts show up in my contacts nor do any show up in my gallery app. i tried re-entering the info, removing the acct, adding it again, rebooting my phone etc. now, it looks like there is a tiny bit of progress.. i can see "me" but that's it. in the contacts app, if i only select to display fb contacts, it just shows me and not body else. in the gallery app, if i hit menu and then hit "friends" again, it only shows me. why is this not pulling in any contacts/friends?
View 2 Replies View RelatedTapping my way through "Go to all settings" > "Accounts" > "Google". I see my gmail account shown, and under that it says "Sync is OFF". Before the update to Jellybean I could find where to turn this on and off. Further tapping on my account name I get to a screen titled "Sync" at the top-left. The options icon gives me "Sync now" and "Remove account" options. The screen is filled with a list of Google things I can sync. Tapping any of those syncs that Google thing. But, none of them are configurable.

Tried rebooting phone and deleting and adding back account. In the settings did the verify account and it says sucessful. Works for email if I use the "Email Accounts" option and not "Corporate Sync" option but I need my contacts and calander also to work.

I used an OG Droid before the Razr and never had this issue- they are deleted on the Droid when the account syncs.

View 6 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, I'm currently unable to sync my facebook events to my phone calendar. In the Settings>Accounts, my facebook account is listed. When i tap on my account and enter my username/password, I'm brought back to the list of accounts, and I can't sync either my contacts or my calendar with my phone.
I used to be able to do this on my Galaxy S and could do it for a minute on the Razr. Does anyone know what happened, and if I can re-establish the sync? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling facebook, but it didn't do anything.
When I got my phone, the Verizon rep helped move my 3000 contacts from my old phone to the new one.They are all there in the phone.But, they will not sync up into Outlook via MS Exchange.It WILL sync a newly added Contact, so sync is working between my phone and Outook.This works both directions, whether I create a new record on my phone or create the new record in Outlook.It just won't work with the ones loaded on the phone at the time of purchase.How tag all my original Contacts on my phone so they will flow up into Exchange/Outlook?

I don't think background apps are running when this occurs, but anyway I want to know if a successful sync can take place while it is enabled only when plugged in to a charger.
