View 3 RepliesThe other day, my wife accidently took a video rather than a simple still photo with our Droid X. All but the first few frames were not usable, but it was over 3 minutes before I realized what happened. Now I have this long video and I want to extract a still image from the first few seconds of the overall clip. How do I do this? I tried uploaded the file to my computer (running Windows XP SP3) but I don't have any s/w that will edit the file that was in .3gp format.
I guess there's no way to edit the clip on the camera? Assuming not, how to edit that format?
Every time I take a photo in portrait mode and then upload to email, text or face book, the photo is automatically sent out in landscape format. How do I have the phone send the photo out the way I took it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am wondering, as I am trying to transfer pictures, and I am using both Adobe Bridge, Photoshop CS5, Camera RAW, and the Verizon application. None of these are able to pull the pictures from the phone, and it is station that the jpeg format is invalid? I did use the 8MP settingas this phone actually takes decent pictures(at least from the look on the screen) and I would like to use them?
View 3 Replies View Relatedam trying to fully clean up my phone for the next potential owner by doing a cache wipe, wiping all data from the phone and doing an SD card format.I had no problems getting into the recovery console and doing the cache & data wipe, but every time I go into settings/storage (in the normal phone powered up mode), the option to format the SD card is greyed out? I was able to connect the DX in PC mode to my computer and manually delete the items on it, but I wanted to do a clean format.

View 15 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I take pictures and/or videos with my phone, I can't see the picture or video on my phone. I take a photo. The phone acts like it took a photo. I see a thumbnail initially. When I try to view it again, there is just an icon and the photo is gone. It will say it isn't viewable or a video isn't playable. Can't view them if I transfer them to my computer either. I don't understand what the problem is because sometimes it works just fine. I can still see old photos or videos. The formats are exactly the same as the old photos. I didn't change the settings.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am using Gingerbread's encryption feature. I took a bunch of photos on vacation, went to transfer them to my computer via USB cable, and was dismayed to find they came across as "unknown files". They had the correct name and jpg extension, but I couldn't view the photos. This is only true of photos I have taken since encrypting the device. tried disabling the encryption feature, and doing it again, with the same result. What am I doing wrong? How can I view my own files, while still using encryption? Also, where is the encryption feature documentation located?

The stock browser User Agent is still accessible through about:debug but most sites are still redirected to a mobile version even when "Desktop" is selected. my favorite browser wont deliver a non-mobile view unless you select the UA as I-Pad. That can't be good. Anyway....all was well on my OG Droid and now I'm about to give up on this dilemma and just install DolphinHD or something.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my DX, whenever I went to the Gallery, I was presented with the folders on my SD card that contained photos and videos. One folder I had was called "Wallpapers". On the DX2, all photos and videos get lumped together and there is no way of navigating to the folder that contains the photos or videos you want to see or play.I understand that there is a way to "group" photos and videos by day, week, or month. Fine. But why not also let you group them by the folders they are in on your SD card?If you click on "My library" and then click on the "My Library: Timeline" drop-down button at the top of the screen, you get a popup that shows you can view your "My library" by Albums, Locations, Tags, and Timeline. Again, why not also include the folders that they are in on your SD card? I was hoping that was what viewing your library by "Albums" would be, but that's not the case. When I click on that, I get two albums: "All videos" and "All photos". Not very convenient if you want to view a particular movie, video clip, or photo. I don't want to have to sort through a folder containing ALL of the videos or ALL of the photos.
Here's the problem as I see it in practice:Say you want to change your wallpaper. Okay, long-press on your home screen and select "Wallpapers". Now, select where you want to pull your wallpaper from. "Gallery". On my DX, it would take me to the Gallery and it would show separate folders for Camera, All Photos, and the folder I created for all of my wallpapers, called "Wallpapers". So then I could click on the "Wallpapers" folder and easily select the image I wanted as my wallpaper.ith the DX2, after long-pressing on your home screen and selecting "Wallpapers" and then "Gallery" as the source, it takes you straight to ALL of your pictures. I have more than 1,700 on my SD card so I don't want to scroll through all of them just to find the wallpaper images I saved that are mixed in with photos I took with my phone, downloaded images, etc. Sure, if you click on the Menu button and select "Group by", you can group all of the thousands of images by Day, Week, or Month, but again that doesn't help since who the heck knows when those wallpapers were created?
I'm using Google calendar on Motorola Droid 2 and Motorola Droid Razr. The same google calendar issue exists on both phones.1) I like to see my calendar on Agenda view, but when I close the calendar app and then open it up again later, it is shown in month view. Why can't it stay in Agenda view? Is there something I can do so that it stays in whatever view I viewed last?2) If I click on "show today", sometimes it shows today's date in Agenda view, but then it may jump to an earlier date.If I again click "show today", then it jumps to an even earlier date. After about 5-6 tries, it usually goes back to today's date.

I see the droid connected to the router ( IP and Mac addresses ) I go to the file folder and scan for the shared folders and the IP addresses of these computer are visible, however I can not access any the of shared folders as before. I contacted the service provider ( Verizon ). They tried to say it was a computer issue rather than a cell phone issue. All shared files are marked and set up to be shared to anyone who has access to the wireless network. The computers were check by a computer engineer and fould not to be the problem. I have tried so many areas to resolve this issue as has the computer engineer who checked the computers.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a relatively new Razr M. I have taken several pictures with it over the past 2 months with no problems. Starting a few days ago, I am having this problem: I'll be viewing photos in the gallery, and all of the sudden the photos go blank. There is just a gray square. I can flip from gray square to gray square -- no image shows. If I go back to the main gallery, it may or may not show pictures. There might just be gray squares, or all the pictures might be there. I have tried turning my phone off, then back on. The pictures will show up initially, but then when I start flipping through them, suddenly they turn to gray squares again. I have transferred the pictures to my computer, just to make sure they are saved somewhere. But can't figure out why they will show up and then turn to gray squares.

Open up stock browser, in the url type "about:debug" Nothing will appear to happen. Now press menu>More>Settings>(in debug area) UAString>Desktop.
