I cannot find a way to do a mass delete of e-mails from a folder...mostly, from my "Trash" e-mail. You must delete (tap on each e-mails "box") one at a time...prior to selecting "delete".This is extremely time consuming for someone receiving a lot of e-mails.

I have a lot of pictures transfered over and I'd like to selectively delete them but I can only figure out how to do it one at a time from within the Bionic. I guess I could hook it up to the computer and selectively delete that way, but when away from the computer, is there another way?

I used BB Desktop Software to Back Up and Restore my contacts beetween the handsets However I have also carried over ALL my old SMS and email which I did not want to..... Now my BB appears to be working very slowly and keeps freezing. Everytime I get a new SMS the following POP UP appears:" BlackBerry message memory is full! Not sure if I'm missing a setting or what but my old Droid DNA synced just fine. I'm using the default email app on the phone. It all works great, but is there SOME way to delete emails from there without it deleting them from my email server? My email is in gmail; on the desktop at home I read it through Firefox. If I delete ANY messages on the phone, even messages that have been read, they are deleted from my gmail account at home (they are in the trash). I've looked and looked and can't find a setting on the phone that would prevent this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI had recently purchased my first Android device, a Moto Defy+. This is not a carrier locked phone.
I use my gmail contacts as the default address book and when i signed up for Moto blur account, it somehow made a backup of all my gmail contacts on motoblur. Now, i can see the same contact details twice for every address book entry. During the backup process, motoblur deleted the leading zeros from all phone numbers. Even though gmail is my default address book, the phone picks up motoblur stored info while making calls - due to which I am now unable to make long distance calls from my phone unless i manually go and edit/delete the phone numbers from the motoblur section on the address book. needless to say, this is very irritating as i have over a 1000 contacts.
How do i delete all my contacts from the motoblur section? i do not really use the motoblur account for anything and if deleting the motoblur account is a solution, i'll be happy to do that. however, i do not want to do a factory setting restore.
I have a Nokia x6 16 gb..I had it for about a week in which time I added 14gb of music and the uk maps..All was working perfectly. However.... Last Saturday I decided to use the "comes with music" voucher that came with it..I selected the music I wanted and downloaded it and was told that I had to download the DRM software to play...I clicked yes and then waited and waited..it seemed my phone had frozen as ovi player would not transfer any music to it.. I unplugged it and tried to plug back in but got the dreaded "mtp device driver failed". I have tried everything I have read on these forums and the web including:- Deleting the folder in the private folder on the mass storage card. performing a hard reset on the phone (although my music was still on the card?) Deleting all of the nokia software and running the nokia cleaner and reinstalling... Doing the above but disabling Windows media player and reanabling it a later date still no joy.. I have windows 7 home premium 64 bit on my desktop so no options to reinstall WMP just disable. I have tried to plug it into my wifes' laptop which has windows 7 home premium 32 bit and I get the same message however her nokia 5800 works fine in her laptop..

View 5 Replies View RelatedI had the number changed on my phone. Everyting worked until then. I can connect in all modes except for USB Mass Storage. I have updated my drivers, enabled USB debugging, etc. It works on another Windows 7 computer, but not on my main laptop. No matter what I do, it will not find the Mass Storage drivers. Everything else works great. I have to run in Mass Storage mode to get to some files for a work app.

I know people who plug their phones in USB to their car CD Players and use it as if it were a flash drive. Now those users who may just have purchased a new phone are now screwed. You add features for upgrades not remove them. I am shocked and truthfully appualed to see where this new type of developer planning can lead to. Next were going to get pushed onto the cloud. If I'm going to remain an Android enthusiast and recommend Android to others you will not take away the things that brought me to Android! I could seriously put my Env touch before ever getting the FIRST OG Droid in Mass Storage Mode.This is not being posted to ruffle the feathers of users on this forum. This is intended as a wake up call to the developers to realize it was us phone enthusiasts that started this smart phone revolution anyways. We ousted Blackberry when they started acting like a bunch of tools. Don't do the same.

This feature is very important to me as a Linux user. This feature was present when I purchased the phone and Android 4.0.4 (ICS). View 13 Replies View RelatedEverytime I connect my Droid3 to the computer my Droid Pulls pictures and music FROM my PC and puts it on the phone. Sometimes it will pull All of my pictures, and sometimes it randomly selects 2 or 3 HUNDRED of them. I recently decided to add some music to my phone and as I was creating my "playlist" to sync to my droid, I noticed that something was happening. Before I even hit sync, my phone pulled ALL of the music off my computer and stored it on my phone.
I have tried to delete the pictures by going into the file on the computer and I get half way through when it locks up. I have to delete EACH picture.
I have gone to the Verizon Store, they have never heard of this happening. They did a reset, which thrilled me because I lost all of my ringtones and downloaded apps. It also erased all the personalized ringtones I had set.
I have the phone connected to Windows (XP) and I can't disconnect it as a mass storage device from the phone.. I pull the drop-down down and tap "Connected as mass storage" and then try to uncheck Mass Storage... and nothing happens. Wonderful. I guess I have to disconnect through Windows or just rip the cable out of the computer; now I feel safer.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSince I got the Motorola Droid Turbo I have not been able to send out mass text. my last droid phone I could click on people which then opened my contact list, there was boxes next to each contact for me to check multiple people. On the Droid Turbo, when I need to send out a text with multiple people there is no way I see to get to my contacts and click on multiple people. I send out a mass text every week and need to get this quirk fixed. I have also tried a few texting apps. but when I send out the mass text a message box pops up that says "SMS is sending a large amount of... do you want to allow? I click allow, but the box will continue to pop up over and over, but does not actually send out all of the texts. I only send 20 text at a time, so I'm not sure why it is not working as far as the texting app goes. Mostly I would like to be able to use the regular texting app that comes with the phone again.

0) I have two message in my Inbox, Remove and replace the battery and switch on the device. After that I format E:Mass Storage and close File manager
1) In Messaging Options I select Settings and than Other and change the Memory in user to E:Mass Storage
2) I'm asked if I'd like to "copy all messages to the new message memory". I click on "Yes"
3) I'm asked if I'd like to "Save original messages" and I click "No" as I'd like to use the new stoage exclusively
After that the Inbox is empty.
My Bionic is connected to my Exchange Server @ my Firm. My Firm requires Device/Storage Encryption, which the Bionic supports just fine. Now that our phones/SD cards are encrypted when the phone is connected to a PC and the SD card mounted the pics are no longer readable because they are encrypted. Windows is unable to read them, if I email that pic from my phone to my gmail I can open it just fine. If I try to open it direct from the SD its a NO GO. I already ruled out that its my PC I tried 5 other including my personal PC at home...NO GO! So how to I access the pictures direct off the SD?

Is there any way to stop this ?
