Does anyone know of a browser aside from Sandrob that supports SSL client side certificates on Android?Does the native ICS browswer or does Chrome support SSL client side certificates?Sandrob works but isn't as fast as some 3rd party browsers like Dolphin.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIf you have multiple email accounts setup in the email client, how do you switch between the accounts? It would be real intuitive if that little drop down arrow next to the account name was to select another account but all that does is bring up options for the inbox, sent, etc. The only way I know is to go into config and set the default account to the one you currently want to look at. It can't be that hard!

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive a meeting invite via my Google mail client on my D3 it comes in formatted differently than my Google mail client on my laptop. I do not get the option to accept the meeting invite to my calendar, specifically Yes, No, Maybe. Is there anything I can do to get this functionality back in the mail client for the D3?
Second if I download the .ICS file that accompanies the meeting invite, and try to apply it to my calendar, it defaults to the phone's calendar rather than my Google calendar. Is there anyway to change this so that the Google calendar is always the default?
My phone doesn't consistently sync, even though I have push email enabled. Happens when I'm both connected to wifi and on 4G/3G. When it's not syncing, mail doesn't even sync when I open the app; I have to manually do it. Completely unacceptable, never had this problem on any other smartphone I've owned (which have all been HTCs). Maybe this is helpful, but the gmail widget and the email widget also do not consistently sync on my device. Maybe there's a trend here that points to a larger problem or solution. But I' m not worried about the widgets; I just want to be able to get my email onto my device, which should be happening with no issues.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis happens on my RAZR M as well. Take a picture, from the gallery select it and "share" via GMail - it just sits there saying "sending" - never goes out. I've force-stopped the app, toggle airplane mode, and rebooted the phone. Sometimes it just starts working, other times not.

I thought it was working when I first setup the account, but I may have been imagining things. View 5 Replies View Relatedthere is a small insert that removes from the dock in case you have a case on the D3. if you remove that and just snip off the far left side (top of M opposite side of headphone jack) it works great. when you clamp it down there is a slight wiggle since its smaller than D3 but not enough to bother anything and nothing if your not touching it.if you have one of these from the D3 and you try and place the M in it you will see immediately the little corner i am talking about when you try to put the M in the dock.

This was why we bought that "Nirvana"-Phone. There are visions to replace ThinClients and Notebooks with Atrix-Phones in combination with Multimedia Docks and Lapdocks for selected users. Our CIO and CFO are keen to see it in action, but all we receive is the well known SSL Error 61.
In the Webtop-Firefox the Certificates look ok and I also made it to work on the Android Citrix Receiver, but I need to be able to use the screen resolution of the connected monitor and not the phone's resolution.

I can't get the default email client to behave like a pop3 client. Apart from some small bugs, like if inbox is empty you can't get to your sent folder, I can send and receive emails properly. However, I can't find a normal pop3 setting Leave mail on server. Which means it will download all new messages from the server, and nothing else.Now it more or less behaves like a mapi client and syncs against the server and removes all messages from the inbox that I have deleted from the server. But I want to have the messages on the phone until I delete them.Any email program out there that I can use on the Nokia E7 that can be used as a normal pop3 client? Apart from this email problem I would say that Nokia E7 is the best phone I have had so far. If I only could get the Nokia E7 hardware and use N900 software it would be perfect

In preparation i decided to install it on my pc and give it a whirl. Everytime i try to install the windows client i get an error "The setup is about to be interrupted for the following reason: The JRE setup has been abnormally interrupted" and it cancels the install. It looks like it's a java problem so i uninstalled jave..cleaned up any leftover traces and reinstalled new java and still get the same message...

However, my girlfriend and I are currently on a Verizon family plan and despite me constantly explaining how the iPhone will be the best investment she will ever make (I even used to have my own iPhone at the same time as the Verizon phone), she still needs more convincing that AT&T is at least pretty similar to Verizon's service and monthly bill.

I just thought of something else. Incase Apple is so busy tonight that they don't want to cancel Verizon and set me up with AT&T until they "officially" open the store (10am), can I still just pay for the two phones and set them up with our old Verizon numbers and new AT&T plan at a later time? Obviously I would do this to insure I have the phones in my possession and won't need to wait until they have new stock.

Once I uninstalled it, Internet access was restored. It's probably an issue with the way we have our firewall set up at the office, but wanted to raise it in case anyone else had similar problems.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to make a connection to a certain IMAP server that requires TLS/SSL. I did setup the connection in the EMAIL application that comes with my Nokia E72, but even though I never received an error, it did not work. (Connecting to other mail servers, IMAP and POP, with and without SSL works just fine using EMAIL, so I guess I know what I am doing...)
Using Profimail on the E72, I discovered that there is actually a Symbian generated error when trying to establish the connection, the error code is "-5". Reading about this, I discovered that I need to import a DER style certificate for the mail server. So I exported the certificate for that server in the correct type from my Thunderbird installation on the desktop and tried to import it using the file manager on the E72. However, the file manager comes up with "Unable to open. File type not supported" The strange part is, I went ahead and exported the DER style certificate for the SAME mail server from last year, which is now expired... and it imports just fine. (however, it is useless, as the certificate expired)
I know this is a rather complex scenario! I am trying to describe all the relevant steps here but I am happy to provide even more details.
So I am wondering.... how comes the file manager will import some DER certificates just fine, and others not? I attached both certificates to that posting, the "rijndael_current.der" is the one that does not import, the "rijndael_expired.der" imports just fine. Both certificates look the same to me, and they look the same to my Thunderbird mail client on the desktop. (just found out I can only attache jpegs... great... :-( )
I've got a cricket-hacked LG Dare VX9700, and while being cricket-hacked means that I can't get gamesapps on it, I'm still very happy with the PhoneTxtpicweb functionality. And I still prefer this over anything that Cricket currently offers themselves.I'm somewhat concerned though; I was noticing that the RSA Data Security certificate is going to expire on January 7th (Two days from now); and I could swear that this was a fairly common security certificate.My concern is this: The phone no longer updates itself(due to being flashed for Cricket), so when the certificate expires, is this going to affect my ability to use the web functions? Will I still be able to continue using mobile web for things like gmail, facebook, twitter, and craigslist like I do now; or is this going to cause a lot of sites to stop functioning correctly?
The battery on this thing is on it's last leg as it is; I can replace the battery for about $10, but I don't want to do so if the phone is going to lose major functionality.
