LG :: VX9700 Root Certificates / Can't Get Games App?
Jan 5, 2010
I've got a cricket-hacked LG Dare VX9700, and while being cricket-hacked means that I can't get gamesapps on it, I'm still very happy with the PhoneTxtpicweb functionality. And I still prefer this over anything that Cricket currently offers themselves.I'm somewhat concerned though; I was noticing that the RSA Data Security certificate is going to expire on January 7th (Two days from now); and I could swear that this was a fairly common security certificate. My concern is this: The phone no longer updates itself(due to being flashed for Cricket), so when the certificate expires, is this going to affect my ability to use the web functions? Will I still be able to continue using mobile web for things like gmail, facebook, twitter, and craigslist like I do now; or is this going to cause a lot of sites to stop functioning correctly?
The battery on this thing is on it's last leg as it is; I can replace the battery for about $10, but I don't want to do so if the phone is going to lose major functionality.
Is anyone aware of an official (or rooting-free) way to add Root Certificates to the Webtop, which will then be used by the built-in Citrix Receiver?
This was why we bought that "Nirvana"-Phone. There are visions to replace ThinClients and Notebooks with Atrix-Phones in combination with Multimedia Docks and Lapdocks for selected users. Our CIO and CFO are keen to see it in action, but all we receive is the well known SSL Error 61.
In the Webtop-Firefox the Certificates look ok and I also made it to work on the Android Citrix Receiver, but I need to be able to use the screen resolution of the connected monitor and not the phone's resolution.
I've updated my asha 200 Nokia mobile with latest software unknowingly i lost all my user and authority certificates along with the update .Without those certificates most of the pre installed certificates are not working
Is there a way I can make some of the pre-loaded games like Crash Bandicoot or Star Battalion and just make them like regular games so I can move them to an SD card and get get them off my phone?
I don't really want to delete them, as I like them, I just don't want them to be part of my phone if possible.
I just bought a Samsung Impact (T794) without a data plan. Is there a way to copy downloaded Java games into the Games Cell Folder through the USB?Whenever I try, I can only copy it to the other folders on the phone or Mini-SD card and the phone will not recognize/run the program in Java.
I would like to make a connection to a certain IMAP server that requires TLS/SSL. I did setup the connection in the EMAIL application that comes with my Nokia E72, but even though I never received an error, it did not work. (Connecting to other mail servers, IMAP and POP, with and without SSL works just fine using EMAIL, so I guess I know what I am doing...)
Using Profimail on the E72, I discovered that there is actually a Symbian generated error when trying to establish the connection, the error code is "-5". Reading about this, I discovered that I need to import a DER style certificate for the mail server. So I exported the certificate for that server in the correct type from my Thunderbird installation on the desktop and tried to import it using the file manager on the E72. However, the file manager comes up with "Unable to open. File type not supported" The strange part is, I went ahead and exported the DER style certificate for the SAME mail server from last year, which is now expired... and it imports just fine. (however, it is useless, as the certificate expired)
I know this is a rather complex scenario! I am trying to describe all the relevant steps here but I am happy to provide even more details. So I am wondering.... how comes the file manager will import some DER certificates just fine, and others not? I attached both certificates to that posting, the "rijndael_current.der" is the one that does not import, the "rijndael_expired.der" imports just fine. Both certificates look the same to me, and they look the same to my Thunderbird mail client on the desktop. (just found out I can only attache jpegs... great... :-( )
From all what I requested,I am in a big problem my X3,failed to start the engine,I took it for repair and they said the program was contaminated with some viruses. It was flashed, but later discovered that its not accepting downloading it says no certifites in phone or simcard,Images its not opening it says no photos
Does anyone know of a browser aside from Sandrob that supports SSL client side certificates on Android?Does the native ICS browswer or does Chrome support SSL client side certificates?Sandrob works but isn't as fast as some 3rd party browsers like Dolphin.
I edit the "select use" in authority certifitcates in my n2690. i mark all the box (app. Signing; cross-certif.; server authen.). Cause that i can't use my opera mini, and display error page like this "Failed to Connect to the Internet.Verification of server certificate failed. Please check the date setting in your device.
after the belle update I have had nothing but problems. I finally got most of my deleted eamil accounts back on after 2 days of it not letting me do so. But now each time it tries to check my mail on the accounts it asks me to accept the certificate one time or not.I cannot find out how to stop this pop up?Is there a way to accept it premanently or how do I fix this annoying problem.Sure wish we could go back to the previous o/s
For a long time AT&T nee Cingular has locked me out of their MEdia (AT&T) Mall, and prevented me from running desirable apps by signing them with a "secret" certificate only available on their branded phones.Well, thanks to a2uploader and the recent acquisition of a locked AT&T phone I have been able to snag these Preferred and Trusted Java signing root certificates. As well as the entire AT&T customization package, which gives me a good template to play with my own if I so desire. (As an aside, I can also now download from the AT&T Mall using a Firefox add-on which allows me to spoof a particular supported phone's User-Agent string.)I digress. When I sent these certificates to my unlocked K850i it places them in the Trusted Cert store rather than the Java Cert store and the apps still have problems running and fail to install using the signed JAD. I have not tried it, but I assume my K790a will behave the same way. Now, the XML which defines the AT&T customizations references the certificates as well as the proper store location for them. Is this my only way to force a cert into the Java store? This also leads into how can I install client certificates?
I try to root my htc one m7, when i install supersu, my phone works fine, it will boot normally, but i cant open the supersu, it will close immediately when i open it. So i found a newer version of the supersu and install it. After i installed it and reboot, my phone went to htc logo screen, after a few seconds, it went black, but it seems the phone is running. I went back to the teamwin recovery project, I forgot what I did which deleted my os, and now when i switch on my phone, i goes to the teamwin recovery project.
i already did the update for my xperia pro but now i want to root it, i`ve tried wioth unlockroot but i just can get it, how can i do it without downgrade
i want to downgrade my phone from ICS to Gingerbird. I dont want to take my phone to service center bcos they asked to wait from few days for downgrade process.I am going to other state forsome months in mid of next week . So its not possible to wait for some days to downgrade via service centre and also i dont like this laggy ICS on my phone. I want the steps to downgrade my phone by own and also i dont want to break my warrenty bcos i have more than 8 months of warenty period.Still i m confuse about rooting in phone. Is rooting will affect the warenty? if yes means, without root how can we downgrade?
I now have a S6 and so far it is not rooted. The one thing I miss a lot is the ability to "completely" remove all ads. AdAway does a great job but you need to be rooted to use it. Ad Blocker tries but does not get all the ads . Of all the things I miss by not rooting this is at the top of my list.
I originally rooted my phone when my software was android 4.4.1 but when i ran the update the root went away. I have factory reset my phone but the software defaults to android 4.4.2. I have tried TOWELROOT (says device not supported) and STUMP ROOT (says device rooted, but is not) with no luck. I am on T-Mobile and my phone is an LG G3 LG-D851. Just tried purpledrake and that does not work as well.
