I originally rooted my phone when my software was android 4.4.1 but when i ran the update the root went away. I have factory reset my phone but the software defaults to android 4.4.2. I have tried TOWELROOT (says device not supported) and STUMP ROOT (says device rooted, but is not) with no luck. I am on T-Mobile and my phone is an LG G3 LG-D851. Just tried purpledrake and that does not work as well.

I have the "SM-G920F" And was using Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
I've updated X8 from 1.6 android version to 2.1 and the home (middle) button doesn't work anymore. Also the touch screen sometimes doesn't respond. I regret for updating because before this everything was working perfect. I've carefully done step by step the update according to the instructions on PC companion and on site. So is there a way to delete the 2.1 update and return to the root version 1.6?

The old backup software was removed so i downloaded a new one from sony website. However this downloads but will not install - says 'Application not installed' with a tick by it ! and so I can;t restore my phone information.

So I was running screwd ROM with elementalX kernel. Everything was working great but I'm a long time DU user. Went to their G+ page flashed ROM. I had issues with it so I wiped and restored my backup of screwd ROM through TWRP. The first go around I selected to restore all partitions. It got stuck on the boot logo. Booted back into recovery and restored android again. This time I unchecked the vendor image box and restored the rest of the partitions. Worked like a charm.

I actually found it a very good idea, one of the best and most intuitive since I started to use it.ow I often do not end my calls properly and that cauese me a lot of trouble. Also, I have noticed that the android os is high on this phone and the strange thing is, the percentage seems to go up when the phone isn't actually being used for anything, as in, sat idle for a few hours. Just wondering what the average percentage should actually be with this phone.
My battery life is rubbish too. Thursday and Friday, it was fine but I didn't use the phone much at all. Today it was fine until 6pm, again, didn't really use the phone but this evening, I have been texting and it dropped 40% in three hours and I've had to put it on charge.
I'm not happy with this and will be contacting Samsung on Monday but before I do, would be interested to hear what other people are experiencing with the android os and back key. Battery life is more or less irrelevant as that varies from person to person according to usage. I'm just disappointed as I seldom had to charge my galaxy s before bedtime unless I tethered, which I hadn't done today until I had to put the phone on charge.
The android system (6.0) update notification came on my phone yesterday (Moto X Pure 2015). Since I couldn't connect to a WiFi where I was, I decided to switch to my cellular data. But as soon as I did that the notification disappeared. I tried finding it on my phone settings, where you go to settings-->about phone-->system updates. It says my device it upto date. How can I retrieve the notification? I was waiting for my android OS update for a month and then this happened.

So i found a newer version of the supersu and install it. After i installed it and reboot, my phone went to htc logo screen, after a few seconds, it went black, but it seems the phone is running. I went back to the teamwin recovery project, I forgot what I did which deleted my os, and now when i switch on my phone, i goes to the teamwin recovery project.
