View 5 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded the software - having backed up my phone using the backup and restore facility. The old backup software was removed so i downloaded a new one from sony website. However this downloads but will not install - says 'Application not installed' with a tick by it ! and so I can;t restore my phone information.
HELP !!!
I got used to end calls quickly that way in Android 1.6 and it worked pretty well for me for several moths. I actually found it a very good idea, one of the best and most intuitive since I started to use it.ow I often do not end my calls properly and that cauese me a lot of trouble. Local SE customer support told me that it is a firmware matter and cannot be changed. Isn't there any HW buttons configurator or another way to configure the HW buttons on the phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI originally rooted my phone when my software was android 4.4.1 but when i ran the update the root went away. I have factory reset my phone but the software defaults to android 4.4.2. I have tried TOWELROOT (says device not supported) and STUMP ROOT (says device rooted, but is not) with no luck. I am on T-Mobile and my phone is an LG G3 LG-D851. Just tried purpledrake and that does not work as well.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo my phone said that there's an update and I went ahead and pressed okay for it to install. It went straight to Android system recovery and now every time I push reboot system now, it goes right back to the system recovery page, and when I take my phone battery out and put it back in, it still does the same. Is my phone completely messed up now or something?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I was running screwd ROM with elementalX kernel. Everything was working great but I'm a long time DU user. Went to their G+ page flashed ROM. I had issues with it so I wiped and restored my backup of screwd ROM through TWRP. The first go around I selected to restore all partitions. It got stuck on the boot logo. Booted back into recovery and restored android again. This time I unchecked the vendor image box and restored the rest of the partitions. Worked like a charm.
View 7 Replies View RelatedJust wondering, does anybody find on the s2 that the soft back key doesn't always respond? I'm sometimes having to tap mine several times before it responds and it's driving me bonkers.
Also, I have noticed that the android os is high on this phone and the strange thing is, the percentage seems to go up when the phone isn't actually being used for anything, as in, sat idle for a few hours. Just wondering what the average percentage should actually be with this phone.
My battery life is rubbish too. Thursday and Friday, it was fine but I didn't use the phone much at all. Today it was fine until 6pm, again, didn't really use the phone but this evening, I have been texting and it dropped 40% in three hours and I've had to put it on charge.
I'm not happy with this and will be contacting Samsung on Monday but before I do, would be interested to hear what other people are experiencing with the android os and back key. Battery life is more or less irrelevant as that varies from person to person according to usage. I'm just disappointed as I seldom had to charge my galaxy s before bedtime unless I tethered, which I hadn't done today until I had to put the phone on charge.
The android system (6.0) update notification came on my phone yesterday (Moto X Pure 2015). Since I couldn't connect to a WiFi where I was, I decided to switch to my cellular data. But as soon as I did that the notification disappeared. I tried finding it on my phone settings, where you go to settings-->about phone-->system updates. It says my device it upto date. How can I retrieve the notification? I was waiting for my android OS update for a month and then this happened.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThat's pretty disappointing if this has been permanently removed. It's not a trivial change for someone who prefers notifications a certain way.
View 11 Replies View RelatedFew months back i had installed the Android M preview and then to root the device i had installed a custom Kernel on my Google Nexus 5. I bought a new Xperia X8. When ever I checked with others they all said you can download apps from android market. So i thought i have to go to web address www.android.com/market and download my apps. But unfortunately I was wrong. I realised that is not how I should do and found that my phone came without Android Market app on it. where I can download Android Market app. Right now I have to use Third-Party android market which I do not trust completely, but I have no choice.
