I try to root my htc one m7, when i install supersu, my phone works fine, it will boot normally, but i cant open the supersu, it will close immediately when i open it. So i found a newer version of the supersu and install it. After i installed it and reboot, my phone went to htc logo screen, after a few seconds, it went black, but it seems the phone is running. I went back to the teamwin recovery project, I forgot what I did which deleted my os, and now when i switch on my phone, i goes to the teamwin recovery project.
Good evening. I've got this question in my mind: If I Root my phone and Uninstall the apps which I don't use, is it possible to Unroot my phone WITHOUT loosing my warranty? Is it safe to do such a thing?
Trying to root my Galaxy s6 SM-G920I India version but no luck. Had to restore stock firmware thrice today. Every time I used ODIN 3.10.6 with Unibase or Unikernal it would say kernel is not SEAndroid enforcing and stick to a bootloop. If I use the CF auto root method it says Recovery is not SEAndroid enforcing and again bootloop.
I have a small question regarding a nexus 5. Is there a way to know if my Nexus 5 has ever been rooted? In my office, we are having a connectivity problem with a nexus 5 and after talking with google they request us to send them the phone. They asked if the phone is or has been rooted which, I guess, voids the warranty. We use the phones for developing software and research proejcts, and I know that some of them some times are rooted, some times use not official-roms, etc.
So despite it looks that the broken nexus 5 is a stock one, I'd like to check it and to make sure that it has never been rooted. Is there a way to do so?
Apparently the Nexus 5 is not rooted: play store apps say so, and the bootloader is locked. Still, I cannot be completely sure that the phone has never been unrooted. Is there a way to check that?
I had recently bought Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900H (Software Version: G900HXXU1ANCJ) but from the second day itself I am facing bootloop issue in the same. It works fine for sometime and then somehow it goes into the bootloop and I tried to hard reset the phone using recovery mode a couple of times and delete the data but again it gives me the same problem after a day or so. I want to flash the rom in the same. Which rom should I flash in the same and some instructions and the link to download the rom. Also do I need to root my phone to install the rom, I have enabled the USB Debugging from developer option, wouldn't that be suffice.
So to get to the point my nexus 5 is running android 6.0.1 and i was wondering for download to root it without my pc? My computers hard drive keeps acting up and crashing.
so I have a nexus 6 I am trying to root and I am using nexus 6 root toolkit I do everything they say to do but when I install the custom rom it says I don't have root access what am I doing wrong. I have tried to root it like 3 times now and it does the same thing.
i already did the update for my xperia pro but now i want to root it, i`ve tried wioth unlockroot but i just can get it, how can i do it without downgrade
i want to downgrade my phone from ICS to Gingerbird. I dont want to take my phone to service center bcos they asked to wait from few days for downgrade process.I am going to other state forsome months in mid of next week . So its not possible to wait for some days to downgrade via service centre and also i dont like this laggy ICS on my phone. I want the steps to downgrade my phone by own and also i dont want to break my warrenty bcos i have more than 8 months of warenty period.Still i m confuse about rooting in phone. Is rooting will affect the warenty? if yes means, without root how can we downgrade?
I now have a S6 and so far it is not rooted. The one thing I miss a lot is the ability to "completely" remove all ads. AdAway does a great job but you need to be rooted to use it. Ad Blocker tries but does not get all the ads . Of all the things I miss by not rooting this is at the top of my list.
I originally rooted my phone when my software was android 4.4.1 but when i ran the update the root went away. I have factory reset my phone but the software defaults to android 4.4.2. I have tried TOWELROOT (says device not supported) and STUMP ROOT (says device rooted, but is not) with no luck. I am on T-Mobile and my phone is an LG G3 LG-D851. Just tried purpledrake and that does not work as well.
I've a galaxy s6 with stock rom. I've rooted my device and I like to encrypt my device. But when I do so, it stuck on the encryption screen for 1 day. When rebooting, the device tell me to wipe the phone because of a failure of encryption.
I currently have Galaxy S6 G920FD. I prevously I am on 5.0.2 with CSC:GLB (Country:Philippines, Network:Globe). I successfuly flashed the French 5.1.1 ROM. Now I flashed back to my native Globe 5.1.1. Problem is the CSC is Thailand and not Globe. How do I change the CSC without root? Tried going to Recovery mode doing full cache wipe and full reset but still it sets the Thailand CSC.
First of all i Understand that this would potentially void my Warranty, but what if im Perfectly fine with that?Is it possible to gain root privileges on Xperia X10 and / or flash modified System Images, lots of developers and Power users would benefit from that.
