I dont want to take my phone to service center bcos they asked to wait from few days for downgrade process.I am going to other state forsome months in mid of next week . So its not possible to wait for some days to downgrade via service centre and also i dont like this laggy ICS on my phone. Is rooting will affect the warenty? if yes means, without root how can we downgrade?

View 9 Replies View RelatedMost apps work great with the status (top) and navigation (bottom) bars in my Xperia Z5 compact. For instance, Netflix will disable both bars in fullscreen videos. Most games do the same.
However, some apps like Xplane or German media apps keep showing the navigation bar. This looks rather silly and takes away precious space on my screen.
Is there any option to manually remove the bars in these situations? Is there a way without "root"?
Good evening. I've got this question in my mind: If I Root my phone and Uninstall the apps which I don't use, is it possible to Unroot my phone WITHOUT loosing my warranty? Is it safe to do such a thing?
View 5 Replies View RelatedRooting (or Jailbreaking if you're used to the iPhone) is pretty awesome - it enables you to use a whole bunch of apps that are previously offlimits (such as Titanium Backup - a piece of software that will back up all of your .apks. It also enables you to remove some of the built-in bloat that Sony stuffed onto the Xperia Play which frees up a bit more space for new apps (Who honestly needs the Chinese keyboard on their phone?!)The classic way to root a phone is to first unlock the boatloader and then through that, install a version of your ROM that allows root access. However, although SE are providing a way to unlock the bootloader on a Play, this is not ideal because:Unlocking the bootloader automatically invalidates your warrantyWhen you have unlocked your bootloader, the software update function on your phone stops working as SE consider your phone to be "modified"Most phones are SIM-locked to a particular network and are therefore not even candidates to be bootloader unlocked The solution is to root your phone without unlocking the bootloader. How? A new application called Gingerbreak does it all for you! Literally, all you need to do is download the Gingerbreak .apk, run it and enjoy your new rooted Play. I can confirm that it is 100% working and took about 5 minutes from start to finish.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was having GB version of android on my Xperia Pro. I am using X-plore file manager. When I tried to go to root enabled setting from settings menu of the app. the app said root access disabled and I was never able to get root access. Yesterday I updated to ICS from PC Companion and my app. was already there on my memory card. When I opened the app I was able to go to root folder and the app. haven't said that the root access is disabled. I disabled root enabled setting from settings menu of the app. but I am worrying about wheather any other app. that I install can change my root (default) files. Also my phone is in warranty and it is said that warranty will void if you root your phone. But I have updated my phone through PC Companion and just want to confirm that my warranty won't void.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI DLd apps before I got my phone, not knowing I'd need root. I was using a file explorer last night to browse my phone, found the apps which remained untouched, then opened and used the installer...bam 2 apps installed, after DLing them using my laptop and transferring them to my phone. Get that! WITHOUT ROOT!
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been looking all around the internets for how to root my r800at running 2.3.3, to no avail. It seems like there isn't any way to do this on the new .285 build. I have tried the DooMLord, UnlockRoot &Super OneClick approaches and all have failed. I have installed the Java JDK, Android SDK, and the SE PC Companion software on my computer, so if any of that is useful, I'm willing to use it. I am a complete noob, but finally decided to root after constantly getting the "Low on space" error message every time I try to update something for the last week. I'm looking for a solution to either a) root the phone without unlocking the bootloader (which is my first choice) or b) solve the "low on space" issue. I love my XPERIA Play and changing phones is not something I'm willing to do. Hopefully you guys can help. Also, being a noob, any answers provided should be done with the mindset that you're talking to a five-year-old.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've updated X8 from 1.6 android version to 2.1 and the home (middle) button doesn't work anymore. Also the touch screen sometimes doesn't respond. I regret for updating because before this everything was working perfect. I've carefully done step by step the update according to the instructions on PC companion and on site. So is there a way to delete the 2.1 update and return to the root version 1.6?

View 1 Replies View Relateda few days ago I bought my SE X10 mini pro.I now have a problem with my battery. A few hours ago, my battery level was around 35%
A few hours later, it remained at 35% indication.Since this couldn't be correct, i restarted the phone. Now, my battery indication was 100%. False again.I turned the phone off. It wouldn't restart.I tried the 'flash device method' by holding back button and putting in computer USB. No help.I tried SEUS. After that, phone switched back on, with false battery indication back to 100%, which is impossible.I noticed that during all this 'fun stuff', my battery refuses to charge. The LED indicator remains green without flashing, the settings screen doesnt say 'charging'. I know that the phone won't charge below 95% battery. So, the phone thinks the battery is 100%, therefore won't charge, and I'm pretty screwed, especially since I fear that once my battery drops dead, the phone won't be able to charge ever since it will think its 100% full...
