View 4 Replies View RelatedIn the process of preparing my Xoom for its return to Motorola for an LTE upgrade, I attempted to backup up "Internal Storage" to two different Windows XP machines. Despite numerous hard resets of the Xoom and numerous restarts of the XP machines, I had numerous problems in successfully copying all files. Despite selecting all folders, less than half would transfer during copy/paste. At least one file name in the "Android" folder was too long for Windows XP, but I didn't have time to find it(them). Moreover, 14gb of files disappeared from my external SD card, as did several folders from the internal SD card. I am an above-average computer user, and have never had this kind of trouble

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs anyone aware of an official (or rooting-free) way to add Root Certificates to the Webtop, which will then be used by the built-in Citrix Receiver?
This was why we bought that "Nirvana"-Phone. There are visions to replace ThinClients and Notebooks with Atrix-Phones in combination with Multimedia Docks and Lapdocks for selected users. Our CIO and CFO are keen to see it in action, but all we receive is the well known SSL Error 61.
In the Webtop-Firefox the Certificates look ok and I also made it to work on the Android Citrix Receiver, but I need to be able to use the screen resolution of the connected monitor and not the phone's resolution.

It's beautiful with a fast processor, but it lacks an application that'll enable you to kill the application or pages that you've recently opened. Is there any other application that'll add an option by the page or application to delete it?http://www.ubergizmo.com/2011/12/droid-xyboard-10-1-review/That's what keeps popping up when I search for any other applications. I believe it would be a lot more efficient if the Droid Xyboard had the same layout as the Asus Transformer Prime regarding the "X" on the side of the applications that I've opened/viewed.Does anyone know of any amazing application that describes what I'm talking about

View 5 Replies View Relatedonly had my Atrix2 (first Android phone) since February. One issue I have is that I thought multitasking was supported in Gingerbread? Maybe I just don't know how to use it right? I listen to a radio station stream online and I've yet to find an app that streams it as well as straight from the site, problem is is if I'm streaming it from the site I can't close the window and do other things on my phone. Also, multitasking in general seems like it doesn't really work right. I came from the "evil" that is Apple and sorry to say the multi-tasking on that platform was almost flawless.
Second concern is clunky pre-loaded apps. Specifically the messaging, music player, and camera app. The messaging app just isn't intuitive. There are far to many steps involved to include photos and things into the message. The music player, wow, where to start. It seems like more of an afterthought. Works more like a file manager than a music player. And the camera app, just seems buggy and hangs up on menus and in between taking photos. Well, we'll see if any of that improves when ICS comes out. I haven't played with any demo phones to see if the new stuff is better.
The loaded email software would not send messages so I went to the ATT store and the gal there downloaded Yahoo mail and it started working. Now I get emails to both programs and notifications also. It's a pain getting the additional email notifications and I cannot turn off or delete the orginal program. Any ideas how to correct this? Also, not using my lapdock like I thought --Spam/Solicitation removed--. Paypal only."""

I would like to wipe my cache.I am able to power down the phone, hold both volume buttons, power on the phone, and choose "Recovery" from the black & white (bootloader?) menu. The phone proceeds to the screen with the Android character lying on his back with the red triangle showing. However I cannot get any menu options to appear as I could with ICS by holding down both volume buttons.Has anyone been able to get the "cache/date wipe" menu options to appear on the red triangle screen?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI used my Droid Turbo a month ago to shoot some outdoor pictures and the camera worked great. Today, however I attempted to use the camera and the app froze and the phone rebooted. I uninstalled the built-in camera updates and reinstalled them and the result was the same - load the app and the phone reboots. I tried installing another camera app and the result was the same as the built-in camera app.
View 23 Replies View RelatedLast night I bought two CDs on line. i downloaded them to my computer and plugged in my phone to download to the phone. Media link started up and downloaded every CD on the computer before I could stop it. (I had selected only the new CD's in media link) I had to go into my music and delete everything that was duplicated. Then I discovered that my playlists were all empty. I had gone though all of my music and put all songs in playlists. Now I had to do it again!! I thought I was all fixed up and discovered this morning that all 1,290 photos from my computer were loaded onto my phone as well. DO NOT leave media link on your computer. I'm removing it when I get home and I'll start doing the old copy/paste routine. Motorola should send warnings about Media Link to all customers.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to make a connection to a certain IMAP server that requires TLS/SSL. I did setup the connection in the EMAIL application that comes with my Nokia E72, but even though I never received an error, it did not work. (Connecting to other mail servers, IMAP and POP, with and without SSL works just fine using EMAIL, so I guess I know what I am doing...)
Using Profimail on the E72, I discovered that there is actually a Symbian generated error when trying to establish the connection, the error code is "-5". Reading about this, I discovered that I need to import a DER style certificate for the mail server. So I exported the certificate for that server in the correct type from my Thunderbird installation on the desktop and tried to import it using the file manager on the E72. However, the file manager comes up with "Unable to open. File type not supported" The strange part is, I went ahead and exported the DER style certificate for the SAME mail server from last year, which is now expired... and it imports just fine. (however, it is useless, as the certificate expired)
I know this is a rather complex scenario! I am trying to describe all the relevant steps here but I am happy to provide even more details.
So I am wondering.... how comes the file manager will import some DER certificates just fine, and others not? I attached both certificates to that posting, the "rijndael_current.der" is the one that does not import, the "rijndael_expired.der" imports just fine. Both certificates look the same to me, and they look the same to my Thunderbird mail client on the desktop. (just found out I can only attache jpegs... great... :-( )
I've got a cricket-hacked LG Dare VX9700, and while being cricket-hacked means that I can't get gamesapps on it, I'm still very happy with the PhoneTxtpicweb functionality. And I still prefer this over anything that Cricket currently offers themselves.I'm somewhat concerned though; I was noticing that the RSA Data Security certificate is going to expire on January 7th (Two days from now); and I could swear that this was a fairly common security certificate. My concern is this: The phone no longer updates itself(due to being flashed for Cricket), so when the certificate expires, is this going to affect my ability to use the web functions? Will I still be able to continue using mobile web for things like gmail, facebook, twitter, and craigslist like I do now; or is this going to cause a lot of sites to stop functioning correctly?
The battery on this thing is on it's last leg as it is; I can replace the battery for about $10, but I don't want to do so if the phone is going to lose major functionality.
Has anyone had any success with using Wifi that required user certificates? I'm trying to get my Xoom to connect to the corporate network (EAP-TLS) and followed the instructions for the IPad and imported my certificated into Android correctly. But when I connect, it hangs at the connecting state for minutes, before finally giving up.
