After installing the Gingerbread upgrade, I don't see a Settings > Call Settings > Accounts option like in this video. Is the native Gingerbread SIP client not part of the 1.3.232 upgrade? Or have I just not found it on my device?
View 2 RepliesI upgraded yesterday, and the only issue I seem to have is not being able to dial directly from my browser.
I did a search from Google for Walgreens in my local area. After finding the number, the browser shows the phone number in a "gray" box. When I click the link for the phone number, my dialer pops up, but ther number doesn't carry off.
I just upgraded to Gingerbread and can't figure out how to set up Corporate Sync. In Froyo there was a place to enter the mail server URL but that doesn't exist in Gingerbread. Since we have multiple mail servers, I think that entry is required. I've tried every combination of domain, username and password I can think might work but I always get an "invalid login" error.

In playing around, I actually thinks a really well done app. Simple and clean. I have one screen on my XYBoard with just that widget and have been asking tasks, checking this off, and getting things done. my life is more than just the tablet. I'd like to be able to access to the list from the web and my Bionic. I know there are plenty of task/to do apps out there. I just can't seem to find out what this specific one is and wanted to know if someone could clue me in.Is it native as of Honeycomb 3.2? Was if provided by Moto or Verizon? Or is this one of their hand-picked apps for productivity that came preinstalled.

I've got an A953 (UK unlocked) and it upgraded to Gingerbread fine, and I can connect to the Internet on the phone.When I start Mobile Hotspot, my laptop can see the phone and connect to it (receive an IP address by DHCP). However I can't connect through the phone to the rest of the Internet.Does it have something to do with me being on T-Mobile USA? Unfortunately I'm not really able to test other options, but it would be good to know if it work successfully for others.

View 15 Replies View RelatedIf you have multiple email accounts setup in the email client, how do you switch between the accounts? It would be real intuitive if that little drop down arrow next to the account name was to select another account but all that does is bring up options for the inbox, sent, etc. The only way I know is to go into config and set the default account to the one you currently want to look at. It can't be that hard!
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive a meeting invite via my Google mail client on my D3 it comes in formatted differently than my Google mail client on my laptop. I do not get the option to accept the meeting invite to my calendar, specifically Yes, No, Maybe. Is there anything I can do to get this functionality back in the mail client for the D3?
Second if I download the .ICS file that accompanies the meeting invite, and try to apply it to my calendar, it defaults to the phone's calendar rather than my Google calendar. Is there anyway to change this so that the Google calendar is always the default?
When is it reasonable to expect the X2 to receive the update to Gingerbread not that the Droid X is receiving it in the field? As a consumer I would have expected the newest model of the Motorola family to have been shipped with Gingerbread but seing the old model Droid X receive it before the X2 is a little puzzling.

View 12 Replies View RelatedThis morning I was prompted to download & install the new update OTA. I have attempted to do so 4-5 times now. Each time, it completes the download, reboots the phone to start the update, then when the update progress bar is about 1/2 of the way through, an icon with an exclamation point appears & then the update stops. The phone proceeds to boot up like normal. After it finishes booting up it displays a message stating that the update failed.I really would like to NOT have to do a factory reset to my phone just to get the update to install
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy car's bluetooth (2011 Honda Odyssey) was working perfectly with my Droid X (which had "FroYo" 2.2 software). Due to problems with my phone, Verizon had me update to the newest software (2.3, called "Gingerbread"). I now cannot pair the Droid with the car. I have called Verizon and Motorola both, who both stated that the most likely culprit was the car. Honda states that it is compatible with "Gingerbread" on newer phones, but not certain if it is on the original Droid, and Motorola has not sent a sample for Honda to test for the original Droid. What do I do? Is there a fix available here? Should I ask Verizon or Motorola to put the previous version, 2.2 or "FroYo" back on my phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I had Froyo Microsoft Exchange syncing was spotty at best. Sometimes the emails would be instant sometime it would take 10-20 minutes for them to sync and it didn't seem to matter whether data push was enabled or not. On my old DX1 GB seemed to fix this issue but now on the DX2 with GB I haven't noticed any improvemnt. Does anyone else run exchange though DX2 and what is your experience, im running SBS 2003 and all other phones on our system ie. windows phones, blackberry and some other phones all seem to work great usually the e-mail shows up in the phone about 30 seconds before the outlook inbox.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been waiting for this update for some time now, and I am sure there are plenty of other people that have been. I personally love my droid 2, but I am something of a IT guru, and have worked out all the bugs for myself and my friends... took me 3 SBF's to do it as I broke a feature or 2 my phone a few times in the process until I fully grasped exactly what kind of structure that android runs on... You should really consider allowing the tech junkies to download it with a big warning that things are still in process of being fixed. I am sure that anyone that goes digging this far for the update will understand the risks, and be glad to help give debugging and q/a support to the team. Android is an open source based system, and as such the community that uses it is on the whole a tad more savvy than that of other systems. Just open up a thread where we can all come and check in with issues, and workarounds and sticky it so everyone can find it easily.

With the update, I've noticed that the browser updates the window/tab _every_ time I leave the window. If I'm in a place with great 3G, no problem. But, I'm not always.Is there some setting to keep the browser from having to hit the website _every_ time? (I mean, it even looses the icon in the window listing).

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy phone doesn't consistently sync, even though I have push email enabled. Happens when I'm both connected to wifi and on 4G/3G. When it's not syncing, mail doesn't even sync when I open the app; I have to manually do it. Completely unacceptable, never had this problem on any other smartphone I've owned (which have all been HTCs). Maybe this is helpful, but the gmail widget and the email widget also do not consistently sync on my device. Maybe there's a trend here that points to a larger problem or solution. But I' m not worried about the widgets; I just want to be able to get my email onto my device, which should be happening with no issues.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis happens on my RAZR M as well. Take a picture, from the gallery select it and "share" via GMail - it just sits there saying "sending" - never goes out. I've force-stopped the app, toggle airplane mode, and rebooted the phone. Sometimes it just starts working, other times not.
