I just set up my Corporate Sync account with my Exchange Server. My D2 insists on locking every 15 minutes (requiring passcode), even though the ActiveSync Policy is set for "Not require password." When I go to Settings/Screen Lock the "None" and "Pattern" options are greyed out with the message "Disabled by remote phone administrator."
I've tried creating a new policy and linking my account, installing NoLock (didn't work).
Well, whenever I hand my phone over to someone, at least one person tries looking through my messages. So is there a way to set a lock on them so you need to enter a code before being able to look at your texts?

I don't need it all the time but it would be useful when making working calls when on the road so that they don't have my personal cell # and nobody ever answers " unknown" so *67 isnt the key.
I also am not really interested in spoofing my number with a fake one or creating a Google voice (or similar account) and then having two phone #'s to worry about.
Any eta of the kernel source or stock images for the Developer Edition?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a roadster for my car which I love! My problem I am convinced is the phone. When I hit the button to voice command, on the roadster (call) no problem, works fine. If my phone is idle for awhile, I hit button on roadster....nothing! I have to turn my phone screen on.....put in my unlock code, then voice command from roadster works fine again. Once the phone time locks it stops responding. Having to pick up the phone and unlock with code every time I want to make a call kind of defeats the hands free idea. Incoming calls never a problem. This happens even if phone is streaming music the entire time. If I do not first unlock phone it does not respond

View 15 Replies View RelatedPeriodically the screen will lock up on my Xyboard. It is not a system crash/lock. This is where the screen stops reacting to touch. Usually putting it in sleep mode with the power button and then waking it clears the problem. Other times it requires a hard reset -- hold power and volume down.
I've had this issue twice on my RAZR since I got it in December. I've had it happen at least 5 times on my Xyboard since I got it Feb 1st.
I have this need for low resolution pictures. would like 640x480 at 1/2 meg or so. But if that isn't possible, can I lock in a lower 1mb setting? Now it takes it at a higher resolution and I have to resize each picture.

The setting is toggled to lock automatically after 5 seconds of the screen going off and immediately if you hit the power button.Settings under security)The problem is that randomly when you turn it back on, it will show the standard slide to unlock screen instead of the pin screen and then will just unlock if you slide it; completely bypasses the security lock.I don't think I set anything incorrectly as it behaves as intended 95% of the time. View 6 Replies View RelatedMy phone locked up/screen went black during a phonecall yesterday. It was at night. So, it was dark where I was. I tried to access the screen. It would produce a faint light, but would not let me access the screen, phone or any apps. I was talking on a bluetooth headset at the time. Normally at the end of a call, I could hang up the phone by pushing a button on my headset. That wouldn't work either. The only way I could hang up the phone was to pull the battery.
how to diagnose the problem or stop it from happening again? Or, is this just a BSOD (black screen of death where phone locks up and requires a battery pull) that happened while I was in a phone call?

I noticed it's using Motorola's keyboard... and is conspicuously absent of the default Ice Cream Sandwich keyboard (I don't like Swype). Is it possible to get caps lock back or do I have to download one of the Ice Cream Sandwich keyboards in the market?

I can then unlock my phone by selecting a Notification. As you can see in the picture I am able pull down the Notification Curtain while my phone is locked.

View 1 Replies View RelatedVerizon XT1254 Moto Droid Turbo, android version 5.1.About once a week I notice that my phone is on silent ringer, I might catch a call because I feel the vibe, or see a missed call. I check where the ring volume is and the slider is all the way to the left on silent. Pushing the vol up hardware key does nothing, touch and slide the slider and it will snap back to silent as soon as you lift your finger. I do have moto assist set to silence the phone from 11pm to 730am, but this problem seems to happen during the day, not just stuck from the nightly mute and the moto assist notification is not up on the screen. If I require the phone to ring at night, there is no problem just moving the slider and moto assist does not interfere.
I have checked through settings, tried multiple ways to raise the volume but nothing works. The only fix is to turn off the phone and then back on again. BTW, what happened to the quick menu that was under the lock button with a long hold that would allow volume changes, vibe on or off, airplane mode and restart? My Gzone has all that under a long press of the lock button.
I just switched from a 2014 Moto X to Droid Turbo this morning. I updated the phone to lollipop and started to set things up how I like them. However, I cannot find the smart lock feature anywhere to set up trusted locations. I did set up my lock screen with a pin.
I googled to make sure this model has smart lock on lollipop and it does. I went through the steps on my moto x to make sure I wasn't missing it on the turbo.
Under Settings > security and screen lock > automatic lock, it gives options from 5 to 10 minutes, and 'maximum'. - this is the time the screen actually after going to sleep.
